This place is just good food. Homestyle cooking mostly and I've enjoyed the chicken fried chicken to the sandwiches. Service is always very friendly and it is very casual. Great place to stop!

Recently my parents invited me out to eat with them. My mom has been telling me about this place for prob about a month now. So I decided to tag along. Just FYI not many parking spots but somehow the place is always full. I was lucky and got the last spot. Walked in and we were warmly greeted by the staff and told to sit anywhere we liked. Knowing my mom she darted for the first booth away from the door, as it was a cold day. The lady who waited on us (wish I remembered her name) was quick to get drink orders and asked if we had been there and I hadn't so she explained the menu. I went with the chicken fried steak with delicious white gravy, fried okra, and a house salad with a side of ranch. I don't really remember what my parents got but I know they enjoyed it thoroughly. When you finish eating they give you a receipt and you pay at the back of the restaurant. Overall I was very impressed to know I have a wonderful place to eat some good home cooked food right down the road from where I live. I'll be bringing my husband here soon, this is right up his alley.

Cute and cozy local spot with friendly staff and amazingly good home cooked food!! We ALL enjoyed our food. The waitress was super nice and accommodating like she asked if I was okay with the sides and I asked for green beans instead of coleslaw. Same with my husband, he got corn instead of cole slaw. Family friendly, affordable and supporting local!! Try the corn too, the best off the cob corn I've ever had!! We will definitely be back to try breakfast!! Thank you Cowboy Restaurant for such a lovely meal

Just moved to the area from Fort Worth. Not gonna lie, I was excited to eat at this restaurant. Husband and I walked in the restaurant Sunday morning for breakfast and we felt so out of place as if we don't belong here. Staff saw us but didn't acknowledge us for a few minutes. One waiter said they'll finish cleaning the table and be right with us. Stood there for another few minutes and another waitress said she'll be right with us. So we stood there and waited more even though the table was already cleaned. None of the first two staffs that acknowledged us seated us. Almost about to leave and another employee came out from the kitchen and told us to sit down and gave us the menu. They never brought out the side of biscuits that came with my husband breakfast, and they totally skimped out on the tortilla strips on my migas and no sour cream. It was like they were purposely driving us away & for us to not come back. Great job because it worked. I must admit...the food is really good but very poor service. Never have I ever felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable going into a restaurant. The food is great but not enough to make up for the bad and extremely rude service.

Great breakfast spot. Not a huge space but they have tables that will accommodate a few larger parties. Good coffee, very large portions. Willing to make things not on the menu.

Great little restaurant in Krum serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Yelp hours are currently wrong, they open at 7am and only close early at 2pm on Sundays.

The fried catfish (all you can eat on Friday dinner) is 5 stars. Overall it's a solid restaurant. Their green salads have gotten a lot better, too. Excellent service, reasonable prices. I just hate the saguaro cactus (not native to Texas) in their logo, standing for the "O", which they could have used a prickly pear cactus (native to all of Texas), and it would have looked better.

Passed by this lovely small town restaurant yesterday and decided to come back and try it out today. I'm glad we did. They serve breakfast all day from an impressive menu but today we wanted lunch. We started with the fried pickles which were thin and crispy and seemed freshly battered with a cornmeal breading. Then we followed up with a chuck steak with mushroom & onion brown gravy as well as a 3 piece catfish plate. The corn was sweet, the fried okra was delicious, the hush puppies were perfect and the green beans with ham and onions had great flavor (I would have added butter though). We will definitely come back to this charming little spot!!! A banana and nutella French toast plate caught my eye....
