This place has one of the best pizzas I've eaten! Staff here is consistent which speaks of the management IMO. When you arrive you get get complementary zucchini chips upon being seated.Daily HH(even Saturdays) before 7 is 1/2 off wine by the glass and some specials on cocktails and even a 12.00 pizza! The salads are all delish and come im 1/2 or full size and are generous portions and fresh ingredients.I love the pizza and salad that we get that I end up getting it every time all the other food looks and smells good, but I just can't bring myself to get anything else !!I love the decor. It's like an old style rat pack error bar. There is outside patio seating that is heated in the winter as well. Add it to the Love List

I used to love this restaurant, but unfortunately it has changed. One of the things I LOVED about it was the Frank Sinatra/Michael Buble music that would be playing. It gave it the whole classy, old NY vibe. At some point they started playing different music, but when my husband and I went a couple weeks ago, they were playing an entire live Billy Joel album. It just went from one Billy Joel song to the next with long, awkward pauses in between, along with talking and applause since it was live. So weird. Totally changed the vibe from romantic/classy to kind of depressing. On top of that, the zucchini chips and our calamari were both undersalted. We've never had that problem before. We ended up not even staying for dinner and went somewhere else. I just couldn't handle the whole music thing going on! Hopefully it will go back to the way it used to be!

What a great experience they have a wonderful happy hour. The service was very good. The food was very nice. Also, we got a pizza and garlic bread olive, which was pretty damn good.

Went to Coal Vines with my family for dinner. Plenty of choices for pizza as well as pastas. My wife and I split a large Gerry's Pie and my son and daughter in law each had a small - one Buffalo Chicken and one Mediterranean. We also split the Goat Cheese Marina to start. The Goat Cheese Marina, though extremely simple and exactly what you would expect it to be, was very very good. Nice simple Italian food with bold flavor. It should have come with more bread though. As for the pizzas, they were all perfectly good but certainly not outstanding. At these prices, $23 for a small Mediterranean for example, I really wanted this to be outstanding. Truth is, I found it not much better than the big delivery chains that we all know the names of. Service was good as expected. Overall conclusion is that I will go back if someone else requests we go there, but it is not a restaurant I would choose myself. Other pizza in that area is more to my taste.

I'm here for the hearty marina!! It really stands out with the cheese bread and meatballs. I can tell the team members appreciate the customers. I have not gotten the vibes that I am a bother to the with my requests. This type of service is noticeable and goes a long way with me.

We've been dining at Coal Vines for over a decade. They continue to be a romantic date spot with the best pizza we've ever had, that includes their gluten free pizza and their cauliflower crust pizzas. My husband loves their meatballs; they're tender and full of flavor. They get busy on the weekends, so come early!

My husband and I were running errands in the area, and we decided to try Coal Vines for an early Saturday dinner. We were so glad that we did! This is a cozy Italian eatery with a vintage charm. The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious! Our server was kind, attentive, and offered several suggestions. My husband said the pizza crust was one of the best he's ever tasted. Note: Keep your eyes open when looking for the restaurant, as it's a little tucked away between retail storefronts. But it has plenty of easy parking available!

I placed an order over the phone with staff, and my husband went to pick it up. There was miscommunication, and he left unhappy and dissatisfied. This was disappointing, because we loved the pizza here when we ordered online. BUT!!!! This place gets 1000+ stars. Unfortunately I can only put 5. The owner, Eric, took it upon himself to make it right! He didn't have to, but he went ABOVE and BEYOND. We spoke over the phone about what happened. He brought us our pizza himself, and apologized abut everything multiple times. We are looking forward to ordering more pizzas in the future from here. It really is amazing! We are very grateful for the extra effort put into making sure we got our order.Thank you to Eric!

My husband and I only order pizza to take home from Coal Vines in Southlake, TX. I can only speak to the pizza, not service, atmosphere or anything else. The pizza is very good if you like fire oven crust!

We generally really like Coal Vines in Southlake. A good small neighborhood fell to the joint, although the tables are sometimes a bit too close together. They've expanded seating a bit in an enclosed "three-season" porch, but it tends to get pretty cold out there in the winter, so I'd hold out for an inside table. They favor Sinatra and Rat Pack era music in the background which sort of fits the vibe. They've tried live music, but honestly, the pale is just too small for this to work unless its totally acoustic.Pizza is the draw, although there is a reasonable selection of pastas and other Italian fare. They also have specials on bottles of wine during the week. Our only complaint is that this Coal Vines is closed on Sundays. I don't think that's a requirement of the retail center they're in, because other restaurants there do operate on Sundays. Perhaps it's a religious choice, but if not and if they need to close 1 day a week, I'd recommend closing on Mondays.
