So I wanted to try something new and after some research, decided to check this place out. First of all, the customer service was amazing, the food being good was just a bonus!! The owner was so kind, warm, and patient while I decided what to order. Ultimately, I went with the burger and fries. Additionally, they were doing a jerk chicken and jollof special so I decided to try that as well. Everything was DELICIOUS!! It was clearly made to order, and so well seasoned!! The fries were freshly cut and obviously not frozen, burger was juicy and fresh, as was the chicken!! The jollof was hands down the best Nigerian jollof I've ever had. So yeah, all in all, it was a great experience!! So excited to see a Black/West African owned restaurant in the area and I'm so excited to support!!

The chicken shawarma was to die for. We also got loaded fries with ground beef, cheese sauce, and bacon. Then sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. Run, don't walk to chefyummi!

I want so badly to support small business and have been to Chefyummy's a couple of times when they say they are open and the lights are off and the doors locked tight during peak meal times. This time my wife saw they had a foodtruck at a festival we were at, so she put in an order and after an hour and fifteen minutes and it still wasnt ready she asked for her money back. Before you use the excuse they were understaffed, they needed to recognize this and stop selling and the woman at the window needed to stop taking orders and get in the kitchen and help get food out then once caught up then you can take more orders. My experiences with Chefyummy proves that you may know how to cook, but that doesn't mean you can run a business. Chefyummy repeatedly shows he can't run a business.

Wife in I stopped in as we live in the lake Dallas area. Place really is a one man shop as the owner has a food truck he normally runs. The food is made fresh so you will have to wait for it and he's the only one cooking but it was worth the wait. The burger was amazing, it has some type of sauce on it that's awesome. The chicken shawarma was also amazing and so were the fries. The owner is a really nice guy and we will definitely go back and try to support the business. Simple menu but great food.

We finally tried Chef Yummie & WOW! The food is amazing! The flavors are Banging! The service is Outstanding! We had the chicken quesadilla, chicken shawarma & jollof rice. Each dish is something that we'd order again all were delicious & flavorful. We can't wait to try the wings, burger & a pasta dish. Thanks Chef Yummie!

Food is amazing!! I give this Chefyummidishes a 5/5 for taste and hospitality. I believe the owner takes a lot of pride in what he does and every time I walk through those doors.. He has a smile on his face! I love the energy in the restaurant! If you're looking to go somewhere to get a tasty meal. This is the ONE!

Food, Service, outstanding! Let me start by saying I do not know Chef Yummi personally. However, I wish to respond to a recent review left regarding the service at a Festival this past Saturday. It should be noted my family and I were in attendance at that event. In fact we also placed an order at the truck. Yes, there was a wait, which was explained to us at the beginning of our order. The food was well worth the wait. Hot, tasteful, and delicious! My issue with the reviewer was he made the review personal. He insulted the Chef personally by insinuating the Chef is a bad business owner. The assumption was made based on a few experiences without having all of the facts. To make such a bold statement without having all of the facts is not only irresponsible but wrong. To state that an individual is good enough to be the "Labor" but doesn't have the acumen to be a Businessman is ignorance at its finest. I think all of us can agree good help is hard to find. Chef has a food truck and a "brick and mortar ". He has to have some sort of business sense for such an accomplishment. I'm not saying we should simply ignore bad service. However, what I am saying is we need to be mindful of the language we use. Especially when it comes to fostering the growth of small businesses. What I observe is a business that doesn't want to compromise quality , despite the potential profit losses such high standards may create. If we're going to make statements that could possibly destroy the growth of a business we should be able to give helpful solutions in an effort to make the business better. Chef, ignore the "nutz" in the Peanut Gallery. These same folks go to another business....wait decades in a drive-thru only to receive a horrible product. Then return and give them more business. Chef keep doing you!!! Your food is ! Thank you for all you do! I'll take quality over expedience any day!

This place delicious.Only been there once for their food and everything was quick fast service & delicious. I've been craving their chicken swarma, sweet potato fries and sticky tofu because it was delicious. Now we tried to return to eat their delicious food but it was closed.We recommend to call before driving thereThis place is always closed Their hours are weird and this place never seems to be open. The restaurant hours says Monday to Thursday 230pm-730pm and we called to place an order for pick up on Thursday at 4pm. chef yummy answers and said they are CLOSED!Does this place even opens? They cry about needing more business & lack of lake cities customers; cry about making less $100 day etc etc. THEY NEVER OPEN!!!Apparently This place is CLOSED Friday to SundayHow is anyone able to order from them?Just make sure you call before wasting your gas & time to visit Chef Yummy restaurant because it's highly likely they will be CLOSED!!Ughhh!

Service was exceptional and the food was even better. Everything looked so good we order a combination Shawarma, chicken & shrimp pasta, jollof rice, lemon pepper wings and the Cobb salad. This is now one of my favorite spots!
