I've been for brunch and dinner. I have never had a bad meal here. It's a lovely spot for a casual dinner or nice girl's day. The bar has plenty to offer and the menu had a vast selection, sometimes too difficult what to eat!Whatever you do decide to eat, make sure you get the bread pudding. To die for!!!

I had high hopes for Chef Point, but overall, the experience was just okay. The menu had some promising options, but the execution left a lot to be desired. The chicken and waffles were mid--the waffle was decent, but the chicken , under seasoned punch . The shrimp was slightly overcooked, making it a bit chewy rather than tender. And the Monte Cristo, which I was really looking forward to, fell short of my expectations. It just didn't have that perfect balance of crispy, melty, and flavorful that makes a great Monte Cristo shine.Service was solid, and the atmosphere was nice, but at the end of the day, the food just didn't wow me. For the price, I was hoping for a bit more. Not a terrible experience, but not one I'd rush to repeat.

Chef point is a great neighborhood spot for a family dinner, lowkey date night, or a solo meal.I went on a Friday evening around 6pm for dinner with my 3-year old. It was busy enough to know it was a popular spot; we didn't have to wait to be seated but people were waiting by the time we left.We ordered the blackened Salmon over an Alfredo-like pasta. It was very good. I wished o had ordered two versus sharing because my 3-year old loved it. We finished off the meal with the bread pudding which came highly recommended. I LOVE bread pudding so I try it anywhere that has it. This one was very good. The sauce is what really set it apart - I think it was a bourbon sauce. My favorite part about Chef Point is how the Chef (and all of the staff for that matter) interacts with the guests - they make you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit. I'm sure we will be back soon!

So who has been to the original Chef Point, in a Conoco gas station in Watauga, Texas? What did you think? We weren't impressed, primarily because the AC was out, in the summer AND kitchen ventilation was out. This means it was hot and smokey. Horrible experience, but the food showed potential. Well that was a long time ago, and this new (3rd location if I'm not mistaken) is unbelievable. Such a sleek look. And the gorgeous full bar was quite a surprise. This location is not that far from that original Watauga location, but this restaurant is light-years away. As I recall Thúy had the ox tail, and it was delicious. It might have been a special, so if your mouth is watering, I'd recommend calling and checking. I recall the bread pudding at the original location was good, and I wanted to try it, but we were full (and Thúy vetoed the idea).I would like to visit again, next time we are in the area.Oh, almost forgot, Chef Franson came by our table, and we had fun reminiscing about the Watauga location oh so many years ago.

The food is fab, the service is great and the ambience and their "story" is also worth your trip! I have been eating at this restaurant before they relocated to this spot and chef's delights just keep getting better!

Beautiful restaurant with fantastic servers. Shelby was very helpful and did not lead us astray with her recommendations. The food was fun and flavorful. The what nots were sublime and the better than sex chicken was partially deboned and filling. I enjoyed the State Fair Bloody Best it was wild and fun something to definitely experience. The evening was only made better when we met Chef Nwaeze as we were leaving the restaurant.

Celebrated a friends birthday the other day and had brunch at this restaurant. I ate the Huevos rancheros and I could not be more happier. This meal was delicious and we topped it off with the bread pudding.

I always get great food and great service at cheer point. This visit was no exception. Started with what knot, main entree of blackened chicken with angel hair creme pasta, finished with bread pudding with cognac based bead sauce.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. There was no wait. The service was great. The food didn't quite meet my expectations- I ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was a bit dry . The waffles were great - they were fluffy.

We were so excited to check out this restaurant and decided to do so on Valentine's Day! How disappointed we were could not be put into words. We put down a 50 dollar deposit to secure a spot this night, and were happy to do so with the expected service and dishes. Unfortunately, our money would have been better put elsewhere. Our waitress seemed busy when we first arrived so we were happy to give grace during a holiday service. Unfortunately, we waited over 15 minutes for our includes champagne and 130 dollar bottle of wine to sit on the bar. Not only that, but our waitress was tending to the bar throughout the entire night while we tried to flag her down through it all. When our drinks did arrive, we placed our full order choices of the preset menu. We watched as other tables with the same amount of guests (2) arrived and got their orders before us. We were presented with our second course before we were given our first and had to send it back. Unfortunately, while apologies were made, that did not seem to affect the rest of service. My husband ordered the lamb which he said was fine, though did not include the mint sauce expected. For myself, my New York strip was well done when I asked for medium rare. The potatoes accompanying the dish tasted boxed, and the expected asparagus was instead replaced with an assortment of squash. Disappointed, but willing to give grace, we asked our waitress for a box and our desserts. We sat for over 20 minutes waiting with neither to come. Instead, we had to flag down another server for the check. When we got ahold of our waitress, we explained our service did not seem up to par with what other guests were experiencing and asked for our desserts for be taken off the check, as we were ready to go at this point. She informed us it was "a part of the fixed menu". We then asked why other tables have completed all their courses, paid, and had another table of customers replace them before we had our dinner plates cleared, and it was only then that she said she's talk to someone. We were able to get 39 off our check, but if we were to put all in perspective, makes not a dent in our 350+ check with the service (or lack thereof) we were given. We were so looking forward to spending a special night together with a delicious meal. Unfortunately, for a reason we are unsure, we were not given the inkling of service promised nor the quality of a meal expected. We will not be back.
