Chasin' Tail BBQ

I've gone here for years for my brisket and have yet to be disappointed. The people are great, always the same people. I've tried other bbq in the area and this is easily the best.

Friendly staff, GREAT food, quick take out. Consistently tastes good too. We've been a couple of times and the sampler platter can feed my husband and me and our kids a little snack. Great meats and sides!! Hard to find a place that has both that are good. I really like the ribs and all the sides are great. Their sweet tea is delicious too!The outside has a cute pig for your kids to say hi too and the inside is that fun 50s/diner theme too.One of the first BBQ places we went to in DFW and would definitely go back!!

Run, don't walk to Chasin' Tail. My review is just for the ribs but they are outstanding. The perfectly balanced smoke flavor is strong but not overpowering. And the rub has such great taste that you don't need sauce. They are that good. And the service is amazing. Since we were going late in the afternoon we called ahead and reserved our racks. No problem. I had to run for a flight so got them to go but it they have lots of good options for eating in with several nice casual tables.

Delish! I love the macaroni salad here!! I also love the Turkey! The baked potato! And the brisket! Laid back not a fancy place but well worth the visit - it is order at the counter style but the service is always great and the food it's always hot and tasty!The Turkey is moist amd tender and has a great smoked flavor it's hard to find a place why Turkey that isn't too dry and they really get it right here - also the smoked jalapeño sausage .. mmm mmm!! So tasty! .. I feel like they should have a larger place for as great as they are !! Right now they are a hidden gem in Lake Dallas.. hope they stay around because for this area they can't be beat!

We came here on a Sunday afternoon and ordered two of their two meat plates. I ordered sliced Brisket, hot links and baked beans with Cole slaw. Their plates come with a slice of toast and I will say unlike alot of places, their Bread was pretty yummy. The. Brisket was a bit dry but I just used some bbq sauce. I was pleased with the amount of hot link on the plate as it appeared to not just be one link. Their baked beans were good and the coleslaw was fresh. The Coleslaw was a bit bland but nothing some salt won't fix. It kind of reminded me of KFC coleslaw. I bet with a spicy bbq sauce the coleslaw would be a good contrast. My husband also ordered brisket but got his chopped. We both loved brisket and wanted to try it the different ways. Again bbq sauce to the rescue. The pulled pork would have been great on a Sandwich. His Mac and cheese was also pretty good as I kept stealing some bites when he wasnt looking. The potato salad was good as well.The atmosphere was like any other bbq joint and seemed family friendly and Clean. Overall we would come back and plan to next time we are in the area.

Employees are friendly and helpful. The dinning area was clean and quiet. Nothing fancy, just decent food in a quiet atmosphere.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!! The food is sooooooo great, especially the brisket that feels like heavenly butter in your mouth and the spicy jalapeño sausage. I would have taken a photo of the food but it smelled so good that I couldn't resist eating it all almost as quickly as it came. After all, the service was great at getting your food ready quickly. The ambiance was nice, sort of like your average bbq restaurant. I was surprised to see how my family and I were the only people at the restaurant because the food was truly delicious! I really can't wait to come back again!!!!

Friendly management and staff, the fried okra was just too good! Ambiance was so calm, not loud music or too much overstimulating noises. A couple of TVs to watch the game on snd the volume was not too much. 10/10 will come here again and bring friends and family.

Going back to 1 I don't understand how you can be so inconsistent. Yes third try of wasted money grrrrrrrr

I did what essentially a last minute catering order for a child's birthday party. Mike and the crew were so accommodating and made great recommendations on what to order. I was so worried about not having enough since my headcount kept changing. But, the portions were so generous that I actually had plenty for everyone. Everyone praised my BBQ and while I appreciated it; I let them know it was all courtesy of our local Chasin Tail BBQ. Thanks for making my son's birthday a success!
