Lovely and intimate spot. Tre was wonderful for service. Really enjoyed how quiet and calm it was before it got a little louder with another group. Small snacks available but sparse

What a special addition to The VIN. We had such a nice time relaxing in the dark and "chill" ambience of the cave. The service was great, and the wine options plentiful. The way you serve yourself was so neat. We really enjoyed this aspect of it. I do wish they had more snack options, but other than that we loved cave society and hope to be back. It's reservation only which kept it nice and quiet for a romantic evening together.

What a cool place to go for a glass of wine, on a date or even a business meeting. After you check in in the lobby, you're escorted to the secret hallway that will take you underground to the cave. from there your seated and the staff explains to you how it works. Use the card you were given upon check-in to access any of the wines available. You serve yourself 1 ounce or 3 ounce or a 6 ounce pour.Staff is very attentive, but also they don't hover-they do offer a few charcuterie options if you need a snack. I had the Siraz and my husband, the Pinot we were both impressed! It was his birthday and the manager treated us to a champagne toast!!There were glasses priced from 18-150 a glass! This is fairly new to the general public. I'm afraid once it takes off they'll be a waiting list often. It seats about 20 people so you want to book online at OpenTable.Add it to the love list

The Cave itself is very cool. The wine tasting held by Grgich Hills was the worst tasting I have ever been too. For $54 it was horrible. Sean who works for this Napa Valley Winery has many years with them but is local to DFW. I believe he has never hosted an event (that is what he told me) and it showed. He did not go over any of the wines, did not speak about the winery, the grapes, nothing. He did not speak period. Where was the Bachus staff to see how it was going??? You literally had to flag him over for a pour, and ask him questions to get any information. He passed our table twice to pour another group and snubbed us more than once. He apologized saying since we came in with wine glasses he assumed we were not part of the class. That was another weird thing that led to the awkward vibe not everyone was in the class. Not that there was a wine tasting class? I've attended many events at the VIN and have had a couple of staycations there. This was a complete fail.

It closes at 11 PM. Not 4:30 AM. When I called the hotel to ask, the receptionist had a horrible attitude and just hung up on me when I was asking why it says on it closes at 4:30 when I'm not from Texas

At 6:00 pm on Saturday night we had the place to ourselves which was weird. The ambience is a 10- quiet cave as described and pictured. There were only 4 inexpensive white wine choices, two of which I drink regularly- nothing special. Luckily the price matched the quality. Would be nice to have a rose or sparking and better whites- that's the point of tasting experience. 12 reds to select from - much more of a range of type of wine and prices. Not sure if I would return. Social oak in trophy club is similar and better with double the amount of wines to choose from, serve cocktails and food (though food really isn't necessary at the cave with the amount of food choices upstairs)
