It was SO hard to get a reservation here. They book up so fast on open table. I was able to email them and they emailed me back and were able to fit a party of 6 in, which was nice. We showed up on time but we're still asked to wait in the bar area, which was full. Took awhile for bar seats to open up for us to order anything, but the bartender was nice and explained the bar menu to us. The martini was so good and they make a little extra and keep it on ice for you to refill yourself later. Blue cheese olives * chefs kiss * Tbh, I didn't like our waiter. He seemed a little rude and short. We ordered about 6 dishes, including the sashimi pizza (which is sashimi on chips to put it mildly lol), the sushi platter, miso glazed sea bass, and a couple other dishes I can't remember. Servings are small. You're expected to order everything all at once. So if you're still hungry, that's too bad. Food was good. Drinks were good. Vibes were good. But I definitely think this restaurant is overhyped.

Wow this new restaurant is absolutely STUNNING. Each room was absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to come back for date night. We tried several appetizers including the catch roll, Caesar salad, and spicy gigli. I think my favorite was the caesar salad. The croutons and parmesan crips were delicious and the egg was a nice touch. The catch roll wasn't anything special. For our entrees, we got the filet, salmon, and branzino. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the jalapeno cucumber emulsion was delicious (I literally put it on everything). Service was great. Our server was so attentive to our group and brought me a different drink after my original mocktail was far too sweet for me.

"Catch" is all the rage in Dallas right now. It's been open a few months and it's generally packed each opening. Here's my first review. 1. Table chair seating is the most uncomfortable seating I've ever sat on in my entire life. Absolutely horrendous. Extremely hard, very little padding and small. 2. Food choices are great and the food is really good. 3. Time getting your food takes forever!!! But, when you're this busy, that's expected. 4. Noise level is atrocious. The dining area is extremely small, so you hear each tables very loud conversations BUT the music is even louder. 5. Staff is very friendly and do a good job. If you like extreme noise, being packed close to your loud neighbors and horrible seating, then you'll love it for that aspect alone. If you like good food and good service then you'll love this little diner in downtown Dallas. Finally, one must always compromise when dining in a very popular restaurant and at Catch, you will be required to compromise.

There are so many wonderful things to share about this place. I had been wanting to try Catch for some time since it opened and finally made it in this week and I just want to keep going back! The food is exquisite! I had the truffle sashimi to start. Fun fact, this restaurant flies its seafood in from Japan. The taste reflects just how fresh the seafood is! The sashimi melts in your mouth. Then had the Cesar salad. We asked for it vegan since my dining partner couldn't have some of the traditional ingredients and it was a huge salad and very tasty! Then, I had the filet. It was cooked perfectly medium. They offer you sauces for it, but I didn't think it needed anything because of how flavorful it was on its own. Then for desert, the Hit Me Cake! It's three layers of brownie, ice cream and chocolate with a drizzle on top. It's a large desert that isn't overly rich with chocolate, but a very good balance and highly recommend sharing it with others. All courses are meant to be shared and the menu is so varied that you'll likely want to try several dishes. The service was actually a bit slow sitting at a table. But, the staff were so friendly that I didn't really care. I would probably sit at the bar next time.

I absolutely loved this place. The ambience alone was such a vibe. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. The customer service was a 10/10, they did not disappoint. The espresso martini was delicious. I also got a watermelon drink and green drink, which were also both delicious. For food we got crispy rice, shrimp, spicy tuna roll, the lobster, lobster mac and cheese, and Brussels sprouts. I will say the lobster Mac and cheese was on the saltier side but the Brussels sprouts were sooooooo good, the seasoning they use is amazing. The shrimp was very good as well. The spicy tuna roll tasted very fresh. This was definitely worth it!

Had a reservation for 8pm on a Monday night, but wasn't seated until over 40 minutes after that time. The hamachi was delicious, but my roll left more to be desired - the tuna inside did not taste the freshest. The inside is super cute, though!

The food was good, but not spectacular. I was anticipating spectacular. We ordered a variety of dishes. The sashimi marinades were delicious. The miso cod was very so so. The rice used in the sushi was seasoned just right. The service was okay. A few misses. Our server was well intentioned as were his colleagues. I'd go back again, but I wouldn't run.

It's new, so there are kinks to workout such as having a 5pm reservation and arriving only 3 minutes late but being asked to wait at the bar for about 20-30 minutes before the table was ready? Doesn't add up to me, they had plenty of opportunity earlier in the day to private and the restaurant literally opens at 5pm. Missing I was one of the first to arrive. Anyhow. The food was great. Drinks were a bit overpriced to LA like minimums if $20 a drink nearly but still, catch is a quality establishment. The staff was like family and incredibly helpful. I highly recommend

I was so excited to try this place because I've heard great things about the food! I ended up getting to come here for a work related dinner, and when I walked in, I was promptly escorted to one of the private rooms. The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout the dinner. We were served a collection of appetizers and entrées family style. The Caesar salad was tasty and probably my favorite out of the appetizers that we were served. We then got the Bronzino, the salmon, and a steak (sorry I'm not sure which one) for our entries. The salmon was my favorite because it was so perfectly cooked and just melted in your mouth! Finally, we ended with dessert, which was a chocolate cake with what looks like a Klondike bar on the top that you break open. It was really fun and interactive, and I really enjoyed it! I think that I would definitely come back with friends or for a date night and hopefully get to try some of the other options that they have!

SERVICE: Being a new restaurant, i'll give them grace but the service was very slow. Lacking. We came on a sunday night and waited over 30 minutes to be seated. 3/5FOOD: Now the food made up for the wait! It was 11/10. Everything from the cocktails to the appetizers to the main course! Its an explosion of flavor in your mouth.AMBIANCE: My man made me aware of how the interior of the restaurant resembled that of a boat or ship. I fell even more in love with Catch. I love a good cliché.Goodness, I hate how hard it was to get a reservation here but the food and ambiance made it worth it!
