Carmen's Cafe

I was in town visiting family and decided to order breakfast instead of driving to the store and making it ourselves. Turned out to be a fabulous idea. When ordering via phone the staff was kind and thorough. The food wasn't ready when I arrived and they made sure I didn't need anything to drink while I waited . We ordered breakfast for 7 of us and we all really enjoyed it.Personally I'm used to breakfast tacos vs burritos but only real difference is the size. This burrito was equivalent to 2 breakfast tacos. It had just the right amount of each ingredient, & the tortillas were homemade , if not homemade they were the best store bought tortillas I've ever had. I also bought a waffle which we shared. It was pretty good, no complaints. The green and red salsas were both delicious. This is a small restaurant in a small town and everything from here was as to be expected! Smaller restaurants seem to take pride in their service and food and Carmen's did both! I will 100% return next time we are in town .

Food was hot and delicious! Service was great and the best part, for me, was the friendliness of Staffa and customers.

Service is great! She was so sweet and helped us pick out our food. She explained everything into detail when we had questions. Everything tasted fresh and hot. Such a homely feel to the inside. We really love coming here because we know we will be taken care of.

Several friends went on an early morning ride and stopped off at Carmen's for breakfast. Small home style cafes are our favorite! This was a no frills place, which was fine as we were there for the food. My husband ordered eggs, bacon, hash brown potatoes, and a side of beans. I ordered the French toast and bacon. We both ordered coffee, which was strong, but good. Husband enjoyed his food, even though the beans had a burnt taste to them. I took a bite and would have sent them back. My French toast was tasty and the bacon was really flavorful. Our friends who ordered the chilaquiles, said their food was "good enough." One said the gravy tasted as if it were from a box. My issue was more from the plastic table covering which kept sticking to our arms and the sight of a few small ants on the table. I know it's hot right now and insects are making their way indoors, but clean table coverings might not be as inviting as a sticky one. Our server was super sweet and gave us plenty of attention. "Good enough," but definitely not a fav.

We love the atmosphere of this small restaurant in the heart of Godley, staff is amazing I hope this place sticks around for generations to come!

Almost missed this little spot downtown because the Carmens sign on the top is gone. It's a small town cafe kinda place with wood paneling and 4 top tables. Great menu that didn't include breakfast tacos as an option but we asked and yepppp! Ordered guacamole as an appetizer and they make it from scratch. Let me tell ya - might just have been the best I've ever had. Seriously. Breakfast tacos were delish and very decent size. Waitress was sweet but soo swamped and all alone waiting tables and being the cashier for the whole place. Thankfully we were not in a big hurry so happy to wait. I waited tables for a long time so I know it's tough! She rocked it out and took good care of us. I'm Great spot in Godley.

Been y to here twice for breakfast. Carman is a very nice lady and her restaurant is clean and comfortable. Megas are not the best I've ever had. Too much tortilla chips and not enough egg.

The food is good and the service is better. Love this little spot as a Cleburne local. It's so nice to find a spot that I don't have to go into Burleson or Fort Worth for.

Was looking for breakfast burritos and was glad I picked Carmen's! Breakfast was delicious, service was great, would recommend this restaurant.

Great, authentic food served by the friendliest staff! Great menu options and the staff is always so welcoming and friendly.
