Massive dent in the hood of my car
The waterfall. This is actually a really nice golf course!
Me putting the ball.
The ball's perspective.
The last hole is really freaking long.

Greens were in the worst shape I've ever seen. Completely covered with weeds. Can't roll any puts out here.

For that tuck deep in the country feel you'll love getting away to the beautiful 18 hole public course. From beginner to pro they have it all. We really got spoiled by the gps in the carts (how far is my ball really from the pin?) to pressing the button for one of the sweet gals to bring you lunch or a cold drink. Wow!

I played this course last Thursday on my way to Dallas and was pleasantly surprised. The greens are a little small but in great shape. The carts have GPS in them, which was a nice thing to have on a course I had never played. The pace of play was very good. I was by myself and ended up pairing up with two gentlemen who lived on the course. They couldn't have been nicer. The round was $36 including a cart. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Decent course but needs some TLC. Too much hard pan on 3, 4 and several other holes. Owner is a real prick but the course has lots of potential.

In the past I've always enjoyed this course. Until yesterday (July 3, 2023). I arrived around 4:30pm, went to the shop to check in. I didn't have a tee time but as a single, late in the day, they didn't have any issue getting me on. I used my credit card and to my fault, I didn't ask how much it cost to play. I figured it would be pretty close to "twilight". I never imagined it would be $46.00! I saw that on my banking app when I was eating dinner that night. I would've probably just gone on into Fort Worth and found a course had I known how much it would cost or asked in advance. My bad... As I said, I've always enjoyed the course in the past. I've played it dozens of times when I lived in Parker county. It's open and pretty easy. When I haven't been playing a lot and need to build confidence It's a good course for that. I got to the first green and noticed how "distressed" it was. Super slow and "furry". I hoped it was just that green. It wasn't... I play fast! It was backed up so I decided I need to relax and not worry about a 2 1/2 or 3 hour round. But at 97º it's better to play fast. I guess I picked a day when the mowers were broken down? I'd hit in the fairway only to discover when I reached my ball the fairway grass was like deep rough at other courses. Not sure what that deal was... The greens got a little better on the back nine but were still s-l-o-w. I shot 37 on the front. Like I said, it's an open and easy course. The fairways never improved. That was aggravating (the 4 inch grass). I played pretty quick. Around and hour and a half on the front nine. I had joined another single and played at a good pace. The single I joined had his 6 year old son with him. The six year old did enjoy when the sprinklers came on and sprayed us on 3 different greens! Then on 15 we ran into "trouble". There was a six some of teenagers who apparently were not golfers. They were loud and dancing around on the tee boxes and greens, hitting 3 balls each and oblivious to anyone waiting on them. There went our good pace and my decent round. It took just over an hour to play the last four holes. Luckily, here in north Texas during daylight savings time, it doesn't get dark until almost 9pm. I finished around 8:30pm. A four hour round is s-l-o-w to me as a single or twosome. Would've been around 3 to 3/12 hours if not for the teens messing that up...So, in a nutshell, I'll probably skip this course from now on. I'll play Sugar Tree or Squaw Creek if I play in Parker County. I'm bummed because I used to really enjoy Canyon West. Note: You do get free "Chicken E" bottled water! But I'd have to drink a LOT of it to get my $46 worth...

This course is in need of a lot of work. Greens, fairways, tee boxes & all are kept to minimum standard for golfers. Playing fees are not worth the quality of service provided on this course.

Terrible golf conditions except the putting greens. Not worth the green fee to drive out there to play.

Tonight I was driving past canyon west golf club on old Brock road when some kids through a huge rock at my new car. There were several rocks scattered in the road like they had been doing for quite a while. I stopped up ahead and looked and it left a massive dent in my hood scraping the paint right off. I turned around went back to look for them. When I got out of my car and jumped the fence onto Titelist drive they were already halfway up the hill in in a side by side. I notified the police of this due to the size of rocks being thrown which could most definitely cause a crash if it were to hit someone windshield. I would recommend taking a different route to avoid ruining a nice car you worked hard for.

This course is not good. It is a certified goat ranch. I guess if you live close by it's ok. . So many better courses in the area, this may be one of the worst I've ever played. Has potential but no where near 4.5 stars.

Played 3 of 18 holes and left to go to a more friendly course. The golf pro approached us at at the 3rd hole and told us that "the chronic bitcher had called and complained" because we weren't playing fast enough.$120 down the drain and we'll never go back.
