"Fun place! When I pulled up, I thought I had missed it or got the address wrong. Not so. It's a rustic outside and inside and I'm glad I went. I'm one of those who pretends to know the difference in various wines, so I did a wine flight and wasn't disappointed. Try the one that tastes "like a tootsie roll". It actually does. The food was solid, too, which isn't always the case at wineries. I'll come back!"
"The hidden jewel you have been looking for. The place to have an event whether it's small or large. It has an outside patio too (Texas Size) with lots of cozy places inside and out to and have conversation and sip and drink fruit of the vine. They offer sweet wines, white wines, red wines, and reserves. You can buy by the glass or the bottle. I already have my favorites. It's called "At Last", what is it? Pinot Noir and Witchy Woman that is a wonderful Malbec Reserve. They have about 25 different wines. They offer wine snacks too. Cowboy Caviar is available. Wines pleasing to all palates. The is a romantic place too, spacious enough to sit and have a quite conversation. 199 Winery brings you Local Live Music too for your enjoyment. I highly recommend it."
"Fun spot to grab wine! Live music on the weekends. Our server was great....was busy for a Saturday night. They offer different wines by glass, flight of bottle. Defiantly a fun spot to start your evening!"
"Umbra Vineyards is without a doubt the best destination for your upcoming wedding or event. Debbie and her staff are best-in-class across the board, and the venue's offerings are endless. From the timeless bell tower to the Italian and Spanish inspired architecture to the stunning Winterfell-esc wine cellar to the onsite cabins for overnight stays, Umbra La Buena Vida Vineyards has everything you could ever want from a venue. And know this: Debbie will go above and beyond for you. She has a true heart for matrimony, for love, for happiness and to serve your needs."
"I was pleasantly surprised by this winery. The tasting room is nice and you can have tastings of their different wines or buy by the glass or by the bottle. They also offer a good selection of paninis, pizzas and charcuterie boards. Some of their wines are really good so come check them out.The service is friendly and attentive, they will explain you all about their wines and their operation...Really cool place. The only reason why I don't give this place five stars, is because it seems like they are understaffed so service is a little slow.My wife and I will be definitely coming back."
"We stopped by Casual Friday on our trip to Ft. Worth. The place is cute and quaint, and the service is very friendly. It is a laid-back vibe, with yard games available for playing. They have a large variety of wines, but all of the whites were too sweet for my liking. We were able to share 2 flights and try all of the non-sweet wines. The Syrah was my favorite. We also got a deluxe cheese board, and it was delicious!"
"A friend of mine recommended I check this place out and I got the opportunity, early on a Saturday evening. It is just off 67, but once you are there you forget you are next to the highway. They have a lovely outdoor area and often have live music. The man behind the bar was friendly and informative and helped me select a glass of wine. I very much enjoyed it while sitting on the patio. I had dinner plans later, so I didn't try any of the food options but I have plans to go back."
"It is that time once again! Grapefest time that is. I thought it was high time for an updated review!! Especially since I try and hit up this festival every year. This is always the event where I like to celebrate the soon to be wonderful fall season. If you are a wine fan you will definitely find something to enjoy. I will say bring cash and lots of it. Every year prices go up and even parking is a pain. So come early if you can. The People's Choice tasting is also an option if you want to spend even more dough and get tipsy faster. In my opinion People's Choice is something VIP to try like a "one and done". You sign up online in advance and you get a free vino glass which is nice. Also get cash before arrival because ATMs are few and far between. Eat a solid meal beforehand. I think that covers a lot of it. I will still go and enjoy Grapefest but if you've been once it's just an "OK" thing to do. My two cents."
"Disappointing. My husband and I came here one night when we were in town. We've been to the Grapevine location several times and really enjoyed it. Our server wasn't very knowledgeable about the menu or drinks. No worries; maybe she was new. I had a salad and sausage and potato soup. I've had the soup at the other location and it was great. This location...no. It was watery, no sausage and huge chunks of potato. My husband's burger was burned. Our server took our order, someone else brought our food and no one ever checked back on us. We wanted another round of drinks but our server didn't come back until we'd been finished with stacked places for about 15 minutes. Let me add there was only one other table in the whole restaurant, and one person at the bar. We'll stick to the Grapevine location, cuz this place was sad."

The wine was amazing every last one that we tasted. I bought a bottle to take home I bought a white peach wine don't judge me I like sweet wine. The meat and cheese plate was off the chain. I'm not big on cheese but they ones they had where good. They had a cheese/butter spread that was out of this world. So the reason I gave them only 3 stars was because the "Experience" that they said came with the Groupon. So we didn't get the signature glass to take home it was supposed to be included in the Groupon. They didn't explain the wine or what to pair it with. When I told them I had a Groupon they didn't seem to happy to take it. I mean if your company Is going to promote something they should keep there word. I don't think I would be going back I'll fine a bother winery to go to.

I absolutely love this place! It's a must stop for me whenever I come to Downtown Grapevine. Please get their Figgy Piggy Flatbread, it's amazing! This is a winery but they also have a great Cider selection! Staff is always prompt and give great recommendations. The location is great, right on Main Street, it's spacious...it's never been too crowded the times I've been there. They have very good live music. If you like country music, definitely go when Willie Lain is playing, he is amazing!

Mrs. B and I took some friends along to some stops on the Cross Timbers wine trail. This was our first stop and my favorite. The wines they had for us to taste were all very good, and we took home a bottle from here. I ended up wishing we had bought more, because we have already finished that one and are needing to return. The winery is operated by Dr. Bobby Smith, who's personal charm shines through the wines he produces. He has actually been making wines in Texas since 1978, and his history with the industry locally has helped shape it to where it is today. "Dr. Bobby" also crafts cheeses there in a room adjacent to the wine tasting room. The garlic cheddar was very good. Trust me, a trip to Springtown is not a waste of time. This doctor definitely has the cure for what ails you.

We had such a good time at Lost Oak. We came on a very pleasant Sunday afternoon in February and enjoyed a flight and a glass of wine on their patio. It was lovely. I can only imagine how pretty it is in the spring when all the plants and trees are green. The wines were good, the service was excellent, and we were really impressed with the location. A flight is $14.01 and is a good opportunity to sample a few of their offerings. We will be back in the spring and excited to check out some of their trails.

Amazing young vineyard, just starting out! Never ever judge the book by a Cover. A hidden gem is Wright before ones eyes! Fantastic People who work here...Lovely owners! Who care about what you want, like and need! We started with the sampler(5 tasting for $12) great choices Slide in the DELUXE PLATTER, served with smoked Gouda, a robust Canadian Cheddar, Mild Provolone, and a tasty Gorganzola. Mouth watering meat consists of Genoa Salami, Dry Italian Sausages, Prosciutto Di Parma, and peppered Salami that tingles the the palateFresh sliced apples and hand pulled grapes Top off but a scrumptious fresh chutney!Add the chocolate board for good measures

Nice local winery. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The staff is kind and very personable. We tried a charcuterie board and a flight of wine. Everything was nice and tasty. Great place for a girls night out, or date night. It's a nice change of pace from dinner and a movie. Also... keep up with their FB page because apparently they host events and activities throughout the week. A true hidden gem and local treasure.

"wahh wahh, I had to spend money, wahh it costs to get in, buy food, buy drinks, park, wahh wahh wahh, there's lines for everything, wahh"Holy crap people, popular events usually cause lines, and while not all of them may charge an entrance fee, you are going to pay for everything else, if there's anything worth paying for.Grapefest is a popular festival for many reasons. It may not be the end all wine festival, but in DFW it's obviously the best one. Main street Grapevine is pretty cool, you gotta admit. A lot to do, places to eat, and then you throw in all the festival stuff to go with it.Yea, there's some goofy stuff, and some companies hawking stuff, but that's how they pay the bills. Think the bands are playing for free? Nope. Think all those sound stages and equipment is free? Nope, they pay for those setups. So hey, I understand some places, cities, get great sponsors, and shell out the money, and offer FREE entrance.Anyway, what I see it comes down to is this. If it's not a good value to you, then don't come. But I've been to the last 8-10 years worth, and it keeps getting bigger and more crowded. It's always fun, great people watching, and yes we tend to jokingly call it "drunkfest". (politically responsible disclaimer, "please drink responsibly")But it has a lot to offer for anyone, and don't think I've ever seen any problems with the crowd. It seems to be a nice, mid sized festival that everyone I know enjoys going to.

"Love this quaint little spot in Granbury. The staff here is always so pleasant and the wines are delightful."
"First of, I'm not a wine drinker and have no knowledge of what's the best wine there is. The reason we found this place is because of the Groupon offer for a Ghost Tour. My bf and I love love love tours. So we went here for it and not realizing that the tour actually offer a complimentary glass of wine. We had Ambush(sweet white) and Twilight(sweet red). My bf had bad experience with wine so from there on he would drink it like a shot lol but this time he sat down and sip and savour his wine of choice. We even decided to try their wine tasting for $5.54. We both picked 6 different kinds of wine (3 for each) and for that price it was all worth it. We live in Plano and we had planned on coming back here in the future. I'd take my sister here when she comeback to town!"
"This is a nice local establishment located inside an old farmhouse from the late 1800s. Luckily, they were spared, for the most part, effects from a recent tornado. The staff is very friendly and can speak informatively about their wines - I suggest their offerings from Mexican wineries. Live music is on stage here and helps to create the nice relaxing setting to be found on the grounds. The grounds are also home to a beautiful events venue."
"Talk about discovering something on a whim!! We came here after a day of exploring at the nearby nature preserve not long ago. Of course we were needing sustenance after a fun day outdoors so we stopped by this place. I am not big on local wines, but really enjoyed their selection!! The owners are wonderful too. Even the bathrooms were pristine, clean and smelled of my favorite relaxing lavender. Great place to unwind after work or a workout, kick back and enjoy the vibes! I believe they do live music on certain days as well. We need more quaint wonderful places like this in the world! I have a few more wines to try so I will return to explore more."
"I came on a Saturday night to this beautiful replica French Chateau for a wedding! When we first entered there were not enough seats for the wedding guests. The staff ran into action and appeared with more seats to make everyone comfortable. The Pastor, bride and groom had a microphone so we were able to hear every word. After the ceremony we went out onto the veranda for cocktails and hors-d'oeuvre. There was also a band playing. The vineyard was lovely at sunset and made for some great photo opps! The staff was inside transforming the main room into the wedding reception. The reception was filled with very kind wait staff and the food was very yummy. My favorite was the pork sliders. It was a beautiful wedding and this place made it go off without a hitch!"
"The grounds are very pretty and the owners were very personable. Limited wine making so far, most grapes sourced from California, Italy, and Mississippi. I did not care for the Mississippi wine, probably an acquired taste. The gave estate Tempranillo, I wasn't moved by that one. I did like the Italian Pinot Grigio and the California red blend. Even took a bottle of it with me back to California. The spot is convenient and definitely worth checking out"
"Nice winery, laid back, relaxing. I tried the tempernillo, Malbec and the Rose. They were good. They have a cheese and meat tray that included these spicy crackers that could be marketed they were so good. The owners were very nice and attentive but not overly so. They lit up their fire pit for us. I will include photos. They are not real busy but I imagine they will be soon. Come on by and sit a spell and enjoy good wine and hospitality."
"Think we've found a hidden gem. Laid back, fun. Karaoke if interested. Bar or high top tables. Outdoor area as well (didn't go out, there was an event going on) Friendly staff, great wine =win win! Will definitely be back for a date or ladies night out'"
"It was fun!Four of us were visiting the stockyards and decided to have a glass of wine. We came across Cowtown WInery and instead of doing a tasting, we all risked it and ordered glasses of wine. The place was moderately busy and we sat at the bar to start. The gals running the place were super friendly and fun.We ended up relocating to a round indoor table to enjoy our wine. I had the Malbec. It was "ok". My friend had a Cab - he enjoyed it. Our wives both had the Tempranillo Malbec blend - very tasty. So while the wine was okay, not amazing, the place was super clean and the staff was amazing. We'd stop back again."
"Came in to buy wine and wow do they have a selection. Rex is very knowledgeable and will help you get exactly what you need. Prices are well below chain prices and they match prices if you bring in the ad or show it on your phone. They have a wine society that is nothing short of outstanding. Can't wait to enjoy the tastings.Don't buy you're alcohol anywhere but here."
"I didn't want to like this place - and after coming here on 02.23.24 - I don't - dammit, I love it!We came here for Happy Hour which promised some great specials, and they delivered. The calamari is unique in its breading and texture. It is very meaty and you can actually take bites of it. There is some Cajun/Creole seasoning on it which enhances the dish overall. The Parmesan truffle fries were also on point - hot and crisp. Quite the serving for HH, too. We rounded out the experience with the pork sliders. When I say they were my least favorite, ok, I am still talking 4/5. The service here is excellent and the Friday night New Wave soundtrack they were playing was on fire. Can't wait to go back."
"What a great concept they have going at both the main Frank Kent Cadillac showroom off 820 and Camp Bowie, and also at Kent & Company a Wine bar on West Magnolia. Both have a great selection of wine and very knowledgable staff to help. I would say the prices at Cadillac wines are cheaper than the same wine at Kent & Company by 10%, so if you are looking for a really good value on some special wines, I highly recommend stopping in here. Buying six or more bottles gets you further discounts. You can get wines like Opus One, Cain Concept, Quintessa, Phelps Insignia, Sea Smoke, Merry Edwards, Gaja, Sassacia, etc. that you just can't find reliably anywhere else other than high end restaurants. They also have many very affordable high quality wines including ones the owner is an owner with some very high quality producers in Napa Valley. They have some high quality wines in nitrogen storage you can sample, and they sell Coravin and Coravin accessories. They also regularly sponsor select tastings that are paired with light bites to give a chance to meet some famous vintners. All these events take place in the beautiful Frank Kent Cadillac showroom. And, oh by the way, the service at Frank Kent Cadillac is outstanding, but you don't need to have a Cadillac, or be there for anything other than to visit Cadillac Wines. This is one not to miss."
