"My brother, dad and I were in town for a weekend (mainly to watch the Dallas Cowboys on sunday as my dad is a diehard fan). We hopped on Google reviews and Yelp and saw that this place was HIGHLY rated with 500+ aggregate reviews on BOTH platforms so we had to check it out. We hadn't made reservations beforehand so we were slightly concerned that it would be a long wait (arrived around 8pm-ish). Luckily, this particular location is pretty big and the wait wasn't too long at all. Maybe like 10-15 min?We were seated in a booth and looking over the menu, the mexican food looked super authentic. We ordered carne asada, flautas, a grilled steak fajita salad and brisket tacos. Literally 2 minutes after ordering, fresh warm nachos arrived at the table w/ 2 salsas (a red and brown one). I love that we were able to snack on these before the food arrived. The carne asada was probably my fave. The proteins at this resto are cooked really well. We were never asked how we wanted our steak cooked but it just arrived medium rare on the plate (which is perfect). Super juicy, tender and seasoned aggressively. The refried beans were so smooth and the portion sizes were nice and big.We also ordered some of their famous frozen margaritas. Quite strong but very tasty! At the end of our meal we asked our server Ashley to pack our leftover nachos and salsas on the table in a to-go bag for us and she instead came back with a to-go bag full of FRESH, WARM NACHOS with some new salsas for us to take home. This was incredible customer service. The to-go bag also had a clip on it to keep the nachos crispy and prevent them from going stale (I was still snacking on them in the hotel room 2 days later)! All of us were eyeing the hot apple pie w/ ice cream that arrived at a neighbouring table but alas, we were way too full to stomach any dessert lol.Authentic food, amazing service and nice, strong drinks. A place that lives up to every bit of the hype! Will definitely be back in the future if I'm back in town!"
"Amazing. Our further son in law proposed to our daughter here. They were very accommodating and the service was great. He reserved a room large enough for 30 people. The food was fresh and the mimosas were free flowing. I've been here before but a very long time ago. It's great to see that they are still open and doing well. We will definitely be back."

"Torchy's Tacos is a place I have to visit when I'm in Fort Worth. The queso brings me back every time, but the breakfast tacos always hit the spot. They're incredibly flavorful and very filling. The staff was great when I visited, especially the lady who took my order. She was helpful, witty, and fun to talk to. The restaurant's interior is like any other fast food restaurant, so nothing special, but that's okay. I'm not visiting for the tables. :)"
"Our server (Bill) was amazing and although we have been here before - he guided us through the menu and showed us options that we had overlooked. It really helped that he had photos of the menu items he was suggesting and most (if not all of us) changed our menu selections based on his advice. The food was delicious!! And everyone throughly enjoyed every morsel. Top tip for a tasty appetizer - order the queso and then mix in one of the spicy salsa dishes (that comes complimentary with the chips and salsa)."
"I have not been to uncle Julio's in a while. We were looking for something to eat on a Saturday evening. We ended up here at this uncle Julio's. I wasn't sure what to expect. The pictures on the menu looked good and the place had a lot of people in it. There is a lot of parking and the facility looks nice. I think it's off of 30 but we came the back way so not exactly sure but the parking lot was big and it looks like to be on its own. I ordered nachos. My son had tacos. My son's friend had enchiladas. The food presentation was OK. I told the server I wanted my beef cooked well done but when I got it, it was medium. So she sent it back and once I got it, it was cooked better. The only thing is they really didn't have much of a taste. The nachos are the lay flat kind that I like but there wasn't anything special about them. So I had a couple and then gave up. I thought the chips and the salsa tasted pretty good. It didn't appear that my son's friend liked his enchiladas. I remember him mentioning something about them being too wet. My son wasn't crazy about the tacos as well. So once we got home, we both were hungry and I had to warm something. The bill wasn't too much, but I do not think I would come here again based on the food that I tried. The restaurant was clean and again it was a nice size. Our server was fine, but I actually ordered some ice cream for my son and then she never came back. She said she thought that we were not getting the ice cream. So just an average time and left hungry."
"This place was highly recommended by people that we talked to while visiting Grapevine. They were right. Food was amazing and portions were big. Although it was a busy night when we visited, they were able to sit us immediately Complimentary chips and salsa was already on the table. We started with the tortilla soup with avocado. It is very flavorful. The brisket quesadilla was delicious as well. Definitely a good place to eat when craving for Mexican food."
"10/10 recommend! They do not take reservations, but it's worth the wait. They have a bar in the front so you can have drinks while you wait. Service was so speedy at the bar and once we sat at the table, everyone was very friendly and helpful! I ordered the steak nachos and they were amazing, the quality of the steak was like a filet very tender and not chewy at all! The vibe of the restaurant was more along the lines of a steak house, very cute and western! Can't wait to return! Thank you for a beautiful evening!"
"What an awesome 5-star evening our group had on a recent Saturday evening. For group dining, Los Jimadores has a wonderful private dining room that is very spacious and can accommodate a large group.Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and escorted to our dining room. Our servers immediately started taking drink and appetizer orders for our group. Hot baskets of chips, salsa and a wonderful bear dip were placed strategically around our tables. Chips were filled frequently so we never lacked for anything. By the way, the chips were fried to perfection with no greasy feel to them. I loved their salsa and the After our group got settled in with drinks and munchies, our servers, with military precision, to take our orders in an "orderly" way. My wife loves quesadillas, so she ordered a half of chicken quesadillas, perfect portion for her, and I ordered the La Bandera Platter, I was hungry. It consisted of a cheese enchilada topped with green sauce, chicken enchilada topped with sour cream sauce and a beef enchilada topped with chile con carne sauce. The three enchiladas were served with rice and beans. I probably ordered too much, but oh well, the platter sounded so good. After a short wait, a barrage of servers converged on private room with all of our entrees. It was amazing, each entree was delivered efficiently to the correct individual. Margaritas were refreshed, we were all ready to dig in. My wife loved her chicken quesadillas. My La Bandera platter was SO delicious, the three types of enchiladas each stood on their own deliciousness. I loved the variety of the enchiladas. Los Jimadores rice and bean which accompanied the enchiladas were so flavorful.I ended our wonderful gathering by trying Las Jimadores' flan. Oh my goodness it was one of the most awesome flans I've had in a very long time. My wife and I can't wait to return on our own to explore more items on the menu, plus try a flight of tequilas. Thank you Los Jimadores for a wonderful experience."
"Y'all are missing out if you haven't tried the Quesabirria Harina tacos. Absolutely delicious flour tortillas stuffed with birria meat and melted cheese! Didn't even dip them in the consommé cuz the green salsa that comes with is fire, spicy and flavored with a kick. The rice and beans were good but the tacos steal the show. We started off with the appetizer sampler which was also good, starting with the quesadilla being #1, especially when dipped into the queso, yummy! Nachos were tasty and loaded with meat, served individually which I'm not used to but was delicious. The chicken flautas were also tasty but a bit over cooked tonight. I'd say overall a delicious Taco Tuesday and I'm sure we'll be back!!"
"We're fans!!! Okay the presentation of the food is impressive to start! The salad is a whole meal all by itself with the freshest of ingredients! My fajitas came out sizzling and mom's enchiladas look mouth-watering. She immediately took a bite and said, "Oh yes! This is good!" The salsa chips are cooked fresh and nice and salty. The salsa has a kick to it with a lot of lime taste! I had coffee because we're vacationing while I'm on set filming and it was really good! My cream has its own cup! You won't be disappointed! When you walk up, you feel like you're entering a really expensive restaurant! It's not!! You'll thank me, so "You're welcome" in advance!!! Oh, we had to try the tres leches cake! It's soo goood!!!"
"My kiddos took me to Pappasitos for Mother's Day and it was amazing!Queso was super delicious!Margaritas were excellent!Fajitas were the best! Service was wonderful and the atmosphere was really nice!"
"I was invited to a going away party on Saturday night and there was about 15 of us attending. The server assigned to our table was taking drink orders as we sat down. My jalapeño margarita was delicious and I was pleasantly surprised to see lots of fresh sliced peppers floating around. My shredded chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce and fresh jalapeños were yummy. Food runners helped the server to accommodate all of our meals."

We were over in the area and found ourselves starving on New Years Day. Found this place on Yelp and they were open...YAY! We have never been here before and Mexican food sounded good, so we gave it a whirl. We were seated immediately in the back bar area. It didn't appear to be very busy, but I think the restaurant is much bigger than it looks from the outside. I ordered the Adelita which comes with a good mix of items including an enchilada, flauta, rice & beans, guac and queso. All the best things on one plate! My hubby ordered the combo fajitas. Everything was SO good! The queso was very flavorful and the guac was seasoned perfectly. The enchilada had good filling and the flauta was crispy. The fajitas came with lots of fresh tortillas and they alone were very good. There was a good mix of meat and grilled peppers/onions. Oh, and the chips and salsa were also delish! The salsa was spicy, but I couldn't quit eating it!I will say, the service was very slow. We waiting a bit longer than we would have liked for refills, to go boxes, the check, ect. However, it seemed like our server was the only one working that area, and who knows how many other tables in the main dining area. He was also sweeping the floor....while 2 bartenders stood behind the bar. So I am not holding the slow service against him, because he was working his butt off. But the other 2 workers should be ashamed of themselves just watching him do all the work. I wish I remembered his name, he needs a raise!

Updated 8/10/24Food and service have been consistently excellent over many years even when valued employees are hard to find and keep. The unexpected personal touches -- like the handwritten comment on our to-go package today -- surprised and delighted us. It overcame our disappointment that the extra salad dressing we ordered was missing. And Via Real's salad dressing is exceptionally tasty.

Started with chips and a variety of salsas- all of which were good. We had 2 spinach enchiladas (**** $15.00) with a very small amount of sour cream and cheese. These were served with tasty, refried beans and rice. We also tried the Tacos De Veggies (**** $16.75) - corn tortillas filled with veggies and cilantro sauce. Served with rice, beans, chipotle sauce, fresh avocado slices and Pico. Iced tea was above average. The service, from being seated, to the wait staff was excellent. I like the atmosphere as well- with it's section for sports and another slightly separate area for dining. This was our second time at Maria Cuca's, and we enjoy going there when in the area.

The servers were very nice and they sat us quickly on a Sunday night. I would say that their food was a little TOO salty, especially the Queso and some sauces. Overall the experience and the food were quite average.

I haven't been here in more than 10 years. Wow it's been a long g time, but it's still great !Erick, the waiter was excellent . He was attentive but not in our face . He was prompt with the drinks , and orders and brought things without us asking . We shared an order of fajitas which were yummy, but a too heavy on the onions . The regular Salsa was ok but weak , however their spicy salsa is a green salsa had a nice thick texture and it was great . Spicy enough to have the kick . Mix a little with the regular salsa and it's a party. Margaritas as always excellent , even the house margarita, but the perfect was a cut above . I also noticed some cool artwork here . Cheers enjoy this great icon establishment of your near grapevine .

I was craving Tex-mex while running errands during my lunch break so I popped into Los Jimadores to place a to go order. 5 stars for service - every that works there is always professional and kind. 5 stars for the taste of the food. I've never ordered anything from this restaurant that wasn't delicious!4 stars for food packaged to go. This one kind of falls on me. I ordered the crispy tacos lunch special (came with 2 crispy tacos, beans, rice, chips & salsa). Everything was at the right temperature when I arrived home (less than 10 minutes after I left the restaurant)...everything except the taco shells. They were a soggy mess by the time I got home - they fell apart as soon as I tried to pick one up. BUT, everything else tasted delicious!1 star for packaging issue. They serve an amazing warm bean dip and salsa with the fresh made chips. Unfortunately, instead of wrapping each container individually they put the warm salsa on top of the warm bean dip, then wrapped in plastic wrap.As I was unpacking the bag I noticed the salsa container sinking into the bean dip - the plastic lid broke from the heat of both containers. I'm thankful it was wrapped up, otherwise I would have had a mess to deal with in my car and at home. Maybe wrap the separately for takeout orders?Besides this minor snafu, Los Jimadores is always consistently delicious, friendly, and is a great local spot. I'll definitely be back, but will dine in (gives me an excuse to have one of their yummy margaritas).

"El Primo's Mexican Grill & Cantina serves up authentic Mexican cuisine with a modern twist in a fun, vibrant setting. Known for their house-made margaritas and Tex-Mex favorites, it's the kind of spot where you can settle in for a casual lunch or a lively evening with friends.I stopped by on a Monday afternoon around 2 PM for lunch, and the restaurant was pretty quiet. We were seated in their massive covered patio area, which was nice and airy, though the quiet vibe meant there was no problem grabbing a table.I ordered the Pecan Chicken Flautas, which were a standout. They take chicken, chopped pecans, and cheese, roll it up in a corn tortilla, deep fry it, and top it with a tequila-lime slaw, queso fresco, and Mexican crema. Mine came with a side of queso, cilantro lime rice, and refried beans, making it the perfect hearty lunch. I loved that they give you the option to turn what's usually an appetizer into a full meal--it was flavorful and super crunchy. To pair with my meal, I had the Blue Champagne cocktail, which is an upside-down margarita served with a Prosecco split. It's as fun and festive as it sounds, and a great way to kick off pre-gaming before the upcoming Cowboys game I was heading to that night.Service was the only hiccup. Despite the restaurant being pretty quiet (only one other table in our section), service was surprisingly slow. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but something to keep in mind.Overall, El Primo's delivered great food and drinks in a laid-back atmosphere. I'd definitely come back to try more of their menu, but maybe when I'm not in a rush."
"Sat at the bar at lunch and Cody was so attentive and took great care of us! Shared an appetizer plate that came out short of the taquitos- before we could mention it, Cody had it taken care of. Great tasty light chips, fresh salsa, cold beer and a mango margarita? Yes yes yes!"
"Delicious tacos . Very creative with such unique ingredients. We stoped here after flying in to DFW. Great stop. The Margarita was small compared to a the ones in Florida but very tasty. We also picked up a few breakfast burritos as well for us all tomorrow at the Air B&B. Order at the counter and they deliver it to your table. Fun place."
"Oh Yes! This is just one more reason why I love Ft Worth...under the top layer of gentrification, you can still find the real deal.Going going gone is the mantra chanted by those hardy adventurous souls that don't want the latest chef driven breakfast for $30( Ft Worth has those too). But,prefer to occasionally go off grid and find something your mom or significant other wouldn't dream of goin in.It's been awhile since I've found a fully blossomed restaurant like this. Years of dedication by this family, serving up traditional delicious necessities!I loved it and you will too!Go!"
"First off, the food: 1) The fajitas were primo! Probably the best chicken fajita meat I have had in years. 2) The kids meals were very good. Service: They were serving between 120 to 140 when we were there, which was dangerously close to their capacity. From the moment they took my order (I was the last of the 7 of us), the food was on the table in 22 minutes. The wait staff were efficient, and seemed to help each other when needed. Nice to see that kind of cooperation. Especially in a busy establishment! It is a nice looking place. The 'ambiance,' if you could call it that, is 'clean and uncluttered.' All of that is why they got 5-stars!Now let me give you a couple of hints that you REALLY NEED to take SERIOUSLY!!!1) Make a reservation. We arrived a tad late for ours and it took about 20 minutes to be seated. The folks who arrived when we did without a reservation were told they had a two hour wait.2) This place is next-door to Billy Bob's, so you need to plan on arriving at least 20 minutes early so you can make your way through the crowd."
"First review for 2025, and it's dedicated to my favorite lunch place. Blue Goose is a pretty popular dine in spot around noon on a weekday. However, the service is fast and efficient. We're immediately seated. Drinks are refilled. The food comes out in a jiffy after you order. We're not sweating over being late to return to work. They provide complimentary chips and salsa. We added the queso as an appetizer, and it was a delicious addition. There's a lunch menu that applies from 11am-4pm on weekdays. My coworker and I both went for the lunch mesquite grilled fajitas. Let's just simply say we couldn't finish everything. We barely touched the charro beans since we were so full. The corn tortillas were also very good. Another favorite of mine is their enchiladas. I love that they are also available on Uber eats and DoorDash, making it convenient to order when you're too busy to step inside the restaurant."
"We had a large group on an early weekend night. Our server, Maria, was wonderful. Chips, salsa, and water were filled frequently. We tried the guacamole , chicken poblano enchiladas , cheese enchiladas, and several combo platters. Each of us cleaned our plates. Margaritas could've had a little more flavor, but were still good and refreshing."
"I eat here since the local El Fenix closed. The food is very good and the staff is even better. I have yet to be disappointed in anything I have ordered from the menu. This is now my "go to" Tex Mex restaurant. Ambiance is great."
"This location is really nice and a great vibe and feel, catered to families and travels and business people alike. Drinks looked good but we didn't order any, but our food was very good along with the chips and guacamole.I had the brisket tacos with corn tortillas and it was very tender and juicy, the rice was delicious and the beans were tasty. I ordered guacamole too for my tacos but it was probably not necessary as they put an avocado slice on each taco. My colleague had the fajitas with steak and shrimp and it looked great she polished off her food. Great texture mex option in the town square area"
"I have been on the hunt for good Tex/Mex cheese enchilada for years. I finally found them! So delicious and stuffed full of cheese. I will be back."
"Highly impressed with this place. I ordered the "lite" fajitas. A great option for those trying to be healthier. Chicken was tender, well seasoned, and generous. Veggies were cooked to perfection and had tons of flavor. I even had plenty of leftovers. Which came with a free bag of chips and salsa! Didn't catch the server's name, but he was wonderful. Family friendly environment but great for a date also. Great gem in Flower Mound."
"For ME, no other taqueria in the area is as authentic, or GOOD. These guys are no nonsense fast. Everything comes out hot and tasty. And yes, I have a yen for things like tripe, tongue and pork skin - if that's not your jam, stay with Mi Cocina (another great restaurant, in it's own way). But if you're looking for the "real deal" - or you're just adventurous, go and enjoy."
"We loved Lupe's! This is such a cozy, "hole-in-the-wall" vibe! The music was incredible - it was live but not too loud, and the singer is just amazing. Great voice and very versatile! The service is friendly with that family owned vibe too. The food was delicious. I loved my burrito and my husbands enchiladas were great. This is such an awesome local spot and we can't wait to make it a staple!"
"Unfortunately the menu changed for the worse. The got rid of the best item on the menu: the queso fundidio! As soon as it comes back, so will we. This has been my fave dish my whole life."
"I've passed by this place a few times and figured Id try it sometime but i finally stopped here with some friends that were in town. I can say I enjoyed coming here. Our server was amazing and made us feel super welcome. I ended up getting the Fajita enchiladas and the chicken flautas. Both dishes were delicious and authentic. Definitely recommend this place if you're around the North richland hills area."
"I see a lot of mixed comments. I guess some people are never happy with anything. The Chips were light and crisp, and had a good flavor.Despite other comments, I thought the Salsa was good.(I make my own, and I'm very picky about it)Dropping off a Salsa Dispenser at your table is very handy.Nothing worse than running out in between server visits to your table.I had a side of Guac that was excellent.Ordered the Vaquero Tacos. They came with lots of meat, which was mid-rare, perfectly seasoned, and juicy. Seems like juicy is not a comment you would expect to see for Tacos, but I did notice it on every bite. The service was good. Came to the table just enough, but not every 3 minutes interrupting you while you are trying to eat.Not a fancy place, but a nice big place.Exactly what you would expect for an old style Tex-Mex Restaurant. There is a nice Bar on one side.Lots of Outside Seating, and what looks like maybe some segregated seating for a Party, or a Business Function.Big parking lot, plenty of room, and easy to get in and out of."
"I love this place. My goto dishes are Nacho Mama, black bean dip, salmon and their guacamole. People are always nice. Place is super clean."
"Great good selection. Something for everyone in the family. Good place for families or a a day out with friends. Portions are huge! And the prices are super reasonable. Their margaritas are great. I have always had great service."
"It's really hard to say anything bad about this place. The service is always consistent, and the food is great. At least for me, there's constant touch points to make sure you have everything you need. The pricing is really pretty good. Everything seems to be fairly freshly made in the establishment."
"First of all, you have to have the food, Fresh , homemade, well staffed , well trained cooks . "Thumbs up to the cooks" Best Brochette Shrimp I've ever had and I won't even order it anywhere else. The Charo beans are better than mine ....man I hate admitting that one. This place is a survivor. I've been eating here since 1995. It's still a great place to eat out. Yes they stay busy but they are definitely skilled at turning tables. For the first time ever (30 yrs) I had to eat outside and I'll have to say ....i enjoyed it. Plus I had a terrific waitress!Better looking than Taylor Swift!!! lol."
"This restaurant has always been beautiful, friendly with delicious food. Today I noticed they added more room and it's even prettier inside now. Plus the menu has changed and the food is still awesome good. Service was wonderful."
"My daughter recently moved to Lewisville, so of course we had to do lunch. We passed by this place several times since she moved there and seen the one in The Colony, so we thought why not?We were greeted upon entry and immediately seated; our waitress came quickly and took our drink and appetizer order. Uncertain of what to order we had tons of questions regarding the menu, the waitress was knowledgeable of the menu and even told us she guaranteed we'd love it. I can say she was correct we loved everything about our meal. The brisket tacos were AMAZING as was the cheese enchilada and guacamole tostada and the price was a plus as well. Our only complaint was the salsa, could definitely use a little more spice. Overall, I can say we'll return and can't wait to try other items."
"HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We always love the delicious food at Villa Del Sol. The atmosphere is authentic Tex-Mex colorful fun. The grilled stuffed burritos and fajitas are AMAZING. The very BEST PART about our frequent visits are seeing AMY N. She is absolutely the best server! She remembers our favorites and goes above and beyond to make customers HAPPY. Ask for her when you visit! Five stars!"
