Note: ask for it or your dish will be steamed. Coconut milk, sweet red beans, jelly/gummy-like add-ins that were delicious and perfect for people new to Viet culture and cuisine. Perfect location so when you're done eating you can walk around the cute downtown. Now, about this menu that deserves a standing ovation. There were seriously so many mouth watering options. luckily, I was with a group that likes to share so I was able to try several items. Every bite from everything I had was delicious but my favorite, hands down, was the prime rib. They actually run a prime rib special on Sunday's for $29. Huge portions. definitely enough to share. The lobster BLT and barramundi fish were very close seconds. You cannot skip dessert. even though you will be too full, trust me, take it home and eat later. Your welcome. I highly recommend the chocolate layered cheese cake. I was scared it would be too rich but no-perfectly balanced and it's like 3 desserts in one! Service was impeccable. Our server was wonderful. The manager, Joey was the best! Everyone made sure we were all very well taken care of. It felt like a fine dining experience yet relaxed and warm. My new favorite restaurant and yours too!"

"I know it hasn't been very long since my last review, but I felt compelled to update after going in person a couple times now! I told yall we couldn't stop eating this food... and I still haven't taken many photos, ugh! I'm telling you once this food is in front of you there are no thoughts beyond "eat immediately." It's too good. I'm making my way through their curries and so far I've had the red most often but also the green, yellow, and massaman. That leaves panang and pineapple to look forward to, then maybe I'll move on to pad thai (I need to ask them about gluten free options). Meanwhile, the soup Jon loves is the Khao soi gai (I named the wrong soup in my last review oops) which is chicken and egg noodles in a yellow curry broth with crunchy egg noodles on top! He says he wants this to be his last meal before death... I would die happy eating the Tom Kha soup. The restaurant is in a busy strip mall on Collins with lots of neighboring Asian owned businesses. It's warmly lit and cozy inside, just one big, open, square room with lots of tables. Our waitress was lovely and recommended beer for Jon and made sure everything was just right. Obviously I thoroughly enjoyed my canned Coke poured fresh over ice, though I considered getting a Thai coffee. They also have Thai tea, green tea, boba, lemonade, sparkling lime, all your Coca Cola brand soft drinks, and chompoo (pink) milk which I want to try, because how cute?Prices here are fantastic especially for this food, which is truly insanely good. Somehow it's all just richer and better seasoned or better balanced than most, or something. The chef really is phenomenal and the staff and the menu won't let you down."

Their salmon and tuna is far more "slimy" than what you usually get at other Japanese restaurants. They often don't cool their rice down enough so often times, you will be eating "warm" sushi and rolls. The price offers a good selection of cooked foods (hibachi steak was good as was the tempura vegetables), but the place to beat for all you can eat sushi remains SUSHI DAMU off Preston. For me, Umiya ranks a distant second as they don't balance value and quality well."

Somehow, the manager remembered my name and was like "I'm so glad you were able to make it in this time. I saw you had to cancel the previous reservation." That alone blew me away!! Like how on earth did she remember that tiny detail from a few weeks ago?!?! So unexpected and so thoughtful! ANYWAY - that sweet interaction set the tone for the rest of the evening and everything that followed was IMMACULATE!! To start we had: the Moo Ping, Coconut Shrimp, and the Thai Chicken wings. While everything was good, those WINGS?!?!?! NEXT LEVEL. I actually ended up ordering another batch immediately after because they were so delicious!! Perfectly crispy on the outside, super juicy on the inside and SO well seasoned. Seriously - THE BEST!! For entrees - my man did the Massaman curry and I did the Thai Charm Beef Salad. Both entrees were SO GOOD!! The salad was SO fresh and flavorful!! The beef was super tender and well seasoned, and the dressing added the PERFECT tangy zest!! Absolutely loved it!! The curry was delicious as well! We both loved it!! My man always loves everything super spicy, so he got the highest spice level for the curry - but still didn't think it was hot, meanwhile - it was spicy to me (I can tolerate a little bit of spice lol), so keep that in mind if you're a spice lover!! THEN - at the very end, they brought us a complimentary birthday cheesecake, which was such a sweet surprise!! It was so rich, creamy, and delicious. On top of that, we ordered the fried ice cream and it was an absolute DREAM!! Seriously - SO GOOD!! Honestly - I knew this place was going to be good but I guess I wasn't prepared for HOW GOOD!! Both of us absolutely LOVED IT and we will be back very soon!!"

They used to be inside 99 ranch's food court and have now moved to the other plaza across the way next to kyuramen.I've tried almost all of the hotpot flavors here and there has not been one that I didn't like. I love a personal sized hot pot and theirs is always so flavorful with delicious ingredients and always leaves me satisfied. I usually get the medium spicy level which used to be spicier but the last few times I went, it seemed like the spicy level has come down some. I might do the highest level next time. Food always comes out pretty fast, service is straight forward. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. They also have other foods and appetizers there if you're wanting to get other things besides hot pot. Their current new space is a bit small but I think they will be getting a bigger space soon and this one is just temporary."

We also ordered the combo dumplings as an appetizer, they were juicy and savory but be careful not to scald your mouth (like I did) because they are really hot! *Worth it*For dinner I got the Kung Pao Shrimp and hubby, the Sesame Chicken. Both came out piping hot and were really delicious but I wasn't a huge fan of all the cut up pieces of chili peppers but I was easily able to scoot them aside.Overall they're a great addition to Casa Linda since we live nearby and look forward to visiting again soon!"
