Natalie B. "BEST BBQ IN FORT WORTH!Today was my first visit to Smoke-a-Holics and it won't be my last. They know exactly how to smoke some ribs and brisket. Their rub is incredibly flavorful and the ribs are that perfect almost fall off the bone but still with a little bit of tug. The brisket was moist and tender. And so happy I came when they have collard greens cause they're some of the best I ever had. They don't have seating so you have to order at the window with the super nice staff and then take with you."

Homer W. "Me and my wife normally look for restaurants we've never eaten at when we come to Dallas or the DFW metroplex. One of my good friends and his wife who live in DFW metroplex will meet us wherever we choose. Well this place was on point and the food was very and great. They were very patient with us and helped us decide what to order. Once the server explained everything my friend got the pigs feet and I got the oxtails. Wow, both of us were very impressed with the consistency of taste in the meat and vegetables. I will definitely add this to my list of see ya next time. The weather was a bit chilly but if it wasn't outside would have been the best option to sit and eat."

Uyen V. "Food was great and customer service was great as well. You either call ahead or order inside when you get there. Food takes so out 15-20min to be ready. You wait in your car & they'll bring it out to you. You get 2 sides with every entree. I got the 2 piece fried fish with mashed potatoes (you can choose white gravy or brown) and green beans, comes with cornbread and 2 sauces. the total came out to be around $21. The young lady who took my order was soo sweet & kind. The food tasted AMAZING. The fish was so well seasoned that I didn't need any of the sauces. Crispy and hot. Mashed potatoes were buttery. Green beans were just your basic green beans. I barely finished the entire box, it was a lot of food."

It reminds me of that down home country cooking and atmosphere. The service was quick and the employees friendly. I've been here many times to try different items. Next is the baked potato."

Felicia H. "No pictures this time because we devoured our food as soon as we received it! So many positives. This is a restaurant that cooks with that homemade touch! It takes about 30 minutes for your food because it's cooked to order. We were going to take our food out but decided to eat in. We had the oxtails, wings, fried and smothered pork chop meals. The sides are so flavorful!! I especially enjoyed the candied yams, collard greens and sweet tea. My oxtails were 3 huge pieces. I still have two left over. My friends enjoyed their food as well. I did get the banana pudding but haven't tried it yet. One of my friends got the peach cobbler. The staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was so welcoming. It felt like you're at a family gathering. Parking is decent but this place stays busy so expect to wait in line. I will definitely be coming back to try the other items."

Echelon S. "As a part of my pre-birthday celebration, we decided to stay in Arlington. It is a really nice ambiance. The wait for food was a little lengthy but I understand that good help is hard to find. My friend ordered the Chicken and Waffles. Great taste, even better with warmed syrup. I ordered Shrimp and Grits w/ a side of bacon. The bacon was cooked just the way I like it. The grilled shrimp in the grits were okay. However, the gravy on the grits had a cajun flare but the grits were bland. Also, there were baby shrimp, onions, and corn kernels in the Grits. Not a fan of all of that. I didn't taste any cheese in the Grits. Maybe the lunch/dinner will be better. Oh by the way, you can't order anything other than the combinations on the menu. For example, I only wanted the fried boneless chicken to take home but I had to order chicken and waffles because their register wasn't set up to separate items."

Charlie C. "The food arrived and was very healthy, still warm and you can taste that all the ingredients were very fresh. The service was decent and the atmosphere I can't comment on because this was UberEats order as I learn the area. But I can assure you that I will be making a visit on my next order because this has been by far one of the most decent breakfast meals in the area. They are doing it right and I am looking forward to trying some other things on the menu. Breakfast 1+2=4 was deliciousAnd Breakfast #1 was just as goodWas hoping for some home fries but the Biscuits and gravy were on point.Bacon was fresh and firmSausage was okayAnd the eggs were good"

Michael L. "We had to try Mrs. Linda's new place since they are our neighbors. We missed the grand opening, so we went in on Tuesdsy for a late lunchThe location is a cozy front end with a couple of two tops and stools and ledge along the front window. We were greeted by the friendly counter man who took our order. We grabbed a table, and after a short wait, we were served our lunch. The young man who served us was extremely polite and friendly. My wife ordered the catfish with black-eyed peas and candied yams. The cook let us know that they were out of yams and suggested the corn, which was OK with her. That fish filet was a big one and the sides were a good portion size. The plate was served with a piece of cornbread. The fish was hot, crispy, moist, and delicious. The tartar sauce was very good, too. The corn was really tasty with bits of red paper mixed in and seasoned very well. The black-eyed peas were cooked to a good texture but were a touch salty. It's not a big problem, but it's worth mentioning.I had the smothered pork chop over mashed potatoes with collards and mac & cheese.Good portions, and everything was spot on. The pork chop was juicy and tender, and along with the gravy and mashed potatoes made for some good comfort food. The collards were tender and only needed a little shot of hot sauce to complete the flavor. Mac & cheese was good and cheesy. My wife was stuffed halfway through her plate, so it went home only to be my lunch today. YUM. I plowed through my lunch and was happily stuffed and looking forward to a nap when we got home.We will be back to try more of the menu items and some desserts as well. The owners are our neighbors, and we wish them well with this new venture. Give it a try. It will be good for your soul and stomach as well!"

I also ordered two chicken wings to try and some desserts - pound cake, strawberry lime cheesecake, and cheesecake brownies. The catfish dinner came with two sides & hushpuppies. We had mac & cheese and green beans and everything was really good. I love fried fish and there aren't many places nearby where you can get it. The chicken wings...seasoned very well and tasty. Desserts were really good too. We will definitely order again. Very good."

Solomon W. "If solely for the uniqueness of the offerings, this establishment gets a hands-down 5. I will say that non-piping-hot food is normally off-putting, but I mean... where else can you get pork neck bones? Where else can you get TWO scoops of hoppin' Johns for the unit (bartering system, folks) of ONE side.Apparently Hobert's has been aroud for 26 years, but there was not a soul in site. I think this is attributed to the fact that it sits on a very lonely section on Berry. Give it some traffic, people! The food is top notch. They are open 11AM-5:30PM EVERYDAY! There are many a church in the area, so you can assume that they serve up one mean "Sunday Lunch" for you Gospel-lovin' individuals. After worship, I get some serious munchies, too. You aren't alone. The food tops out around $9 a plate: 1 meat, 2 sides, cornbread, and a drank. The pork neck bones were phenomenal. Not too salty, a bit underseasoned if you will--I love to be dehydrated after I gorge myself on soul food. The black-eyed peas were savory and rich. The cabbage was not bitter and held on to just the right amount of crunch. The goulash (yes, the Hungarian specialty) was definitely not authentic. In fact, it was essentially what we in America know as Beef-a-Roni. The huge chunks of ground beef sat in a tomatoey, sweet sauce mixed in with some soft macaroni. All in all, special and fantastic. The mixed veggies were fine, and the okra was tender.I must touch on the cornbread, no? It was tender, hearty, and well-seasoned. Not too sweet, not too bland. "Just right", said Goldilocks.Fort Worth has a whole bunch of hole-in-the-walls, and Hobert's is no different, though it does sit by itself in a little house on E. Berry. Give it a shot, and I believe that you will definitely become a loyal of this grub shack. The people are extremely hospitable, to boot."

Tarence A. "Fantastic eats, not to mention plenty bang for your buck. The packaging our food came in was on another level of tip top quality. Thick containers that didn't just collapse or let the heat out while my food traveled to me- not to mention everything was packaged very neatly and sealed perfectly. Now on to the foodThe fried chicken was great. All around well seasoned, cooked, juicy, fall off the bone damn near. The chicken and rice is one mean looking dish with a savory aroma (I'm saving that one for tomorrow) and is a very hearty portion at that. The jalepeno cream corn was a great addition to my meal as well as the baked Mac n cheese. FYI; The Jalepeno in the cream corn is strictly to taste, as there was no heat (which my better half loved).I could keep going but I mean hey, you should go find out for yourself. Check them out online at your convenience my friends, for they're open late as hell according to the post mates website. (4:00 a.m.) Take care and enjoy!"

Everything was ice cold upon receiving and tasted like it was a couple of days old. I'm definitely reporting the restaurant and that a detail inspection be done. I will never eat at this establishment or order door dash again."
