"We had such a fun time here! The staff was so accommodating, the facilities were clean, and nice, the music was great! My friend and I are far from professional skaters, and we will definitely be back here!"
"Inside looks like a typical ice arena. the area around it is what is impressive. Gorgeous soccer fields. Well kept baseball fields and a great picnic area. The path is wide enough that one can take a nice stroll or run around as well. Nice"
"If you were like me back in the 80s, you lived for those roller skating birthday parties. Back when in-line skates were just a pipe dream, we did our best attempts to jam skate on our four wheelers to the likes of Madonna and Wham! Dads Broadway took me back to those days...had I had grown up in the boonies. Honestly, the folks at Dads Broadway are super friendly and the rink is pretty spacious. It's just that its location isn't all that convenient or appealing. When we rolled in on a Friday night, we honestly thought we stumbled on a giant metal shed with a half lit sign that says "Skate" on it. There were maybe a dozen or so middle school kids making circles on the giant wooden rink. The place looks and feels old. If you want to skate back in time, this is definitely the place to hit up. You and your grown friends can virtually own the rink and hokey poke your way around the block. There aren't a lot of other entertainment options around so if you hit this place up, you're coming for the skating. I understand there's some roller derby action happening at Dads Broadway from time to time. Now that's worth making a trip out to Mesquite for!"
"I booked my 40th, 90's themed birthday party here. I was able to bring in my own food and beverages. I rented the space so my guest and I had the entire rink to ourselves. We had a DJ, two host and security. The staff was superb, the DJ accommodated my 90's music request and we was given an additional 30 mins. The evening was perfect."
"I saw a pair of eyeballs sliding around on this rink, but I shouldn't have been surprised. It was just some Eyes Skating.Massive ice skating rink right in the middle of the Galleria Dallas, where the whole of the mall can watch you fall over and break your wrist like my mother once did at one of these things. They also have one in the Houston Galleria as well and I think they're both comparable - probably owned by the same company considering that they both look almost identical. It's not cheap but what in the mall is?Having one of these in here makes the whole thing seem like Central Park or no, let's face it, more like the Mall of America in Minneapolis. I'm all for it but it does make the area a little cold LOL and if you are showing as much skin as Barbie and I do then that's not necessarily a good thing."
"Don't be a hater, be a roller skater! Let the good times roll! I mean, have you ever seen a sad person on roller skates? Probably the best thing about this rink is the prices. Not that there are many other roller skating options close, but it is the cheapest. If you have your own skates it's only $5. One negative is that the floor isn't super smooth like a typical rink. I think they put the roller skating material down on the floor so you are really skating on sections of some type of material, making it a little bumpy. It doesn't make it any harder to skate so it's not a big deal, just makes your ride a little interesting. The building is way down the side of an area with lots of warehouses. You may think you are in the wrong spot, but just keep driving and it will be on your right. We have never had to fight crowds which is nice for the kiddos. It is well air-conditioned, unlike the rink in Lewisville. They have water fountains at both ends of the rink. This has become our go-to place when we want to get rolling. Good prices, friendly people, and never crowded. Just check times for public skating."
"This place and people were amazing! Super super nice, inexpensive to skate and not busy at all! The young blonde curly teen was such a gentleman and helped me twice after a couple falls. They have definitely trained the employees respect and friendly attitudes. I definitely would go again and highly recommend them! The place was clean and super cool Hawaiian themed!"
"Went on a Thursday night for adults only. It was really nice. We were a group of 35+ age and were hoping for some older music. However the music was good. The rental skates light up which was a lot of fun. Two people in our party had their skates adjusted by staff. They were very helpful. Cost was good too-$10 entry and skates."
"Great little rink. I like that they have an adults only skate from 10:30 - 2. And theres bowling across the street! Fun spot to visit."

This is a very clean and nice skating rink. They just need more seating or cut off how many people can come in. It was too crowded this day. But besides that it was fun.

Fabulous experience for hockey lessons. My son wanted to try ice hockey. From taking to the manager to checking in to the lessons, this has been a positive experience. It is built for the kids to feel success and then build on that success. The building is nice. The staff was polite, helpful, and kind. There are two rinks. The rink is well kept and the ice is smooth. There are bleachers to watch the kids learn. It was a great experience.

Tonight was an incredibly special night. We celebrated my daughters' Sweet 16 birthday here Dad's Broadway Skateland! I have to tell you the owner is an incredible human being. Very accommodating. Lended his expertise in how I should set things up and how he can assist in me in getting it done. His workers are incredible as well! Very helpful and kind... we had about 100 people at our party and everyone sincerely enjoyed themselves! Having a facility like this make it really easy...Let me highly recommend this venue for your parties or civic organizations gatherings! You'll be glad you did! We certainly are!!

Visited for an evening event and had a lot of fun. Skating took me back to my childhood days and reminded me of how the simple things can be so much fun. Clean facility (although I did not visit the restroom so I can't rate that area). Music was loud, but you are able to have a conversation with your friends. If you can't skate and want a "rail on skate", then it is $5 to rent one. They probably do this to discourage the teens from playing with then but that is a disservice to the parents of smaller children who are trying to build confidence with skating. Staff was very helpful with friendly customer service. Will come back again to get my skate-on. BTW - As a bonus, if you are leaving to head North into Dallas on 45, check out how beautiful The City is from the South!

Not just during the Christmas season, this ice rink is a 'cool' place to come to all year round. In fact, I especially love coming here during the weekdays in escaping the blistering heat of our fabulous city!Nicely maintained is the ice in this rink. Yet, there are times of needing to be extra careful of the ice being very slippery by the melted ice from the sun shining through Galleria's enchanting glass ceiling!Friendly is the staff. Decently priced for skating times. Fine are their rental skates, though most regulars brings their own. A fun time it is for all ages, those skating and for those simply watching!CHEERS!

The prices are good....evening skate for $15 with skate rental and afternoon skate for $10 including rental. Good option for teens. I didn't care for the floor...too bumpy and the skate wheels get coated with debris, which slows you down. My kid had a great time at a good price, though.

Good vibes and great rink. The rink was clean and leveled. They also have a good DJ on the BYOB nights.

"Attended a birthday party and the kids had a blast! This was my daughters first time ice skating so they were able to provide buckets to there height to take on the ice and let me tell you she loved it! She's not one who wants to risk getting hurt so since the buckets are big she was able to prevent herself from falling quite a few times. They did only have one person hosting the party of over 30 people that were on the ice so kinda felt bad for him having to constantly go help kids who fell down. They definitely could of used atleast one more person"
"Wow, what a blast. I haven't been rolling skating in years and this place brought back so many memories. It's a fairly simple set up; small, old indoor basketball court converted into a roller rink. We paid $8 a person to get in and get skates, which isn't too bad honestly. Saturday night was a hangout spot for a lot of young kids, so actually skating was tough during peak times when everyone wanted to skate. But overall it wasn't too terrible.I busted it many times, but it was just a ton of fun and so enjoyable. If you want clean, wholesome fun then come here because it was so much fun."
"This is an ok facility. If you come for an event bring a jacket. It gets pretty cold even when the ice is covered. Some parts of it are not kept well. Under the stands are private bathrooms. They are not well kept. While everything looks semi clean, the bathrooms reek of urine. Every door under the stands is dirty. It has marks where everyone regularly puts their hands. The staff is decent. Some of the workers are very friendly and some act as if they hate life. Not the worst facility for an event"
"Note: My review of this facility is based on my experiences as a spectator for a friend's beer league games; I can't actually skate at all. :) Of McKinney, Frisco and this center, this is the best for spectators. Bleachers go relatively high, and they're made of wood, which means they're not as cold as the aluminum units in the other centers. The higher elevation makes it easier to see. The two rinks are both easy to get in and out of, and if you need to top up on Dallas Stars gear, there's a Starstuff store onsite."
"I was a little nervous at first not having skated for a long time but the instructors were very supportive and super helpful! It's a really fun activity to get into and great exercise! Very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommended!"
"I'm giving this a 5 star because I had the best experience for my first time at this location! Let's see...I checked Yelp to verify the days and times for being open! Next I called the number and I was prompted to a recording which had all the information I needed! Days and times they are open and the pricing. There's no hiccups here! I arrived on a Friday night about 30 minutes after they opened! The parking lot had awesome attendants directing traffic and guiding the line to get in! I have my own skates, and here you can bring roller blades also! Cash or card for entry fee .....they have a ton of security if you drop your kids/teenagers off! Love the guy at the front desk, ...he could tell it was my first time! Great customer service and since I brought my own skates, it's a slight discount! They have lockers (be sure to bring quarters) as of now it's 50 cents! The gentleman actually took the time to show me how the lockers worked which I thought was super nice and an extra bit for the outstanding customer service! They play hip hop and r&b ...I loved it! The energy is amazing here! I was sweating so hard but oh well!!! Go DJ! If you are hungry, they have tons of food and candy! Restrooms are clean and that's a plus for such a seasoned establishment! Cool thing is that everyone is having so much fun! If you fall...people help you get up! All ages are welcome, so come and have some good clean fun!"
"Super fun!! The kids had a blast!! The staff was super helpful and nice! Definitely will come back.!!"
"You have to look past some things but you will find a REAL vintage skating experience here. So much more fun than the newer bright rinks. Old school."
"I've been trying to get my husband to come here for years. A date night? No. We are too old to be hangin out at skatin rinks he said. It took having kids to bring the kid out in him to come here. As kids, we used to live in roller skates. I haven't skated in 10 years+ though prior to this. You can tell this place used to hoppin in the 80's and 90's, maybe even 70's. It hasn't changed much either since. The skates are old and have a smell. The carpet looks like it's been here since it opened. It's a little dingy. But.. Hey.. do you see any other skating rinks around? No, so this is as good as it gets.$30 for 2 kids and 2 adults to skate. That is with roller blade upgrades for the husband and I. Definitely a good workout, half way around the rink and I was sweating! There is no doubt that I will be back. I just wish they opened earlier, open later than 9-10:30, and more days for public skating."
"We went today for public skate from 12:15 to 1:30.My kids had an absolute blast! Friendly staff and clean facilities. It was $70 for 5 of us to skate and skate rentals. It is cheaper if you go with a group of 10 or more and split cost. You can save yourself $5 a person that way. Location also offers summer camps. We will be looking into the hockey and volleyball camps. The only reason I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars is because I think for the cost, Public skate should be open for 2 hours instead of an hour and 15 minutes."
"Once in a while a place is so rich with atmosphere, story, and character that its potentially *negative* attributes are overcome by a sense of charm. As much as I wanted to be put off by the age and disrepair of the Cedar Hill Roller Rink, I found it enchanting. We came here at the invitation of a new friend who invited my GF to join a roller derby practice. This review is based entirely on that experience. In the parking lot of the Cedar Hill Roller Rink, I already felt like I was in a Netflix Original series about Roller Derby (see GLOW for reference), or possibly in a deleted scene from Back To The Future. The building, signage, parking, mailbox, entry, seating, and the rink itself, all feels vintage in some homage-inducing way.Because we were for practice, our introduction to the skating community here was very friendly and supportive. The team itself is intramural and led by a couple who are passionate about the sport and involve their entire family. My GF was instantly challenged by the skill of the other skaters (we didn't even know the rules of the game) but was made to feel welcome as part of the team. It was rather heartwarming. The facility itself was adequate for the needs of this sport, though had a certain cramped, very old school quality to it. The resin on the rink has some flaws, but is buffed and smooth. Concessions are available, nothing warm, and the staff was friendly and personable. Cedar Hill is quite close to Dallas, but still has an "in-the-country" vibe that was reflected in every imaginable way in the rink.Plus, they have an original Ms. Pac Man machine. What more needs to be said?I want to give three stars because some upgrades, new carpet, and the addition of some hot food would improve this place significantly. But, honestly, I enjoyed stepping into this other world so much that I don't think I need it to change to want to come back. Cedar Hill Roller RInk wins four stars from this reviewer. And, I want the rights to the Netflix Original..."
"We came to see the Cirque Du Soleil show Ovo. We came on a Sunday and so getting in and out and parking were a breeze. Parking was included with our ticket, which is appreciated. There was a lovely woman directing foot traffic, as there are a few entrances and there was no signage indicating where you were to enter.Once we were in, there were metal detectors and they scan your ticket. Comerica has one of those annoying clear bag policies, or you can bring a clutch no bigger than 4x6 inches. Considering the lack of pockets in womens fashion, I find this rule most irritating. I tend to take that into consideration when attending an event. There isn't a lot of room to move around before finding your seat. It isn't a high capacity venue but moving around the bar, merch, and candied nuts, it is a bit tight. However the bathrooms were clean, the employees I encountered were friendly, and while the show encourages photography, they do not allow the use of flash or to record. There actually were people there looking out for that but they didn't seem to be rude or overly bothersome.Cirque shows are always fantastic. Once seated, we fully enjoyed the experience."
"All in all Thunderbird is a fun place for everyone - couples, the littles, families. I think $10pp for quad skates is totally reasonable, and so is $3 for the walkers to help little learners. It's not the cleanest place or the most up-to-date, but Thunderbird is my only rink experience so I have nothing to compare it to. It is crazy crowded on weekends with birthday parties, wall-hugging newcomers, and blitzing veterans. The space between the rink and the wall is super narrow and is constantly uncomfortably congested. That can be frustrating sometimes. However, I intend to keep going because my family and I do have a fun time. We're just going to try after school in hopes it'll be way less crowded compared to the weekends."
