Jodi G. "Shipstastic!I have visited Ships v1.0 & v2.0 off and on for years. I used to like that you could bring your own liquor when they only sold wine and beer and only took cash, but those days are over. However, revamped Ships v2.0 is pretty nice. They retained the cozy uniqueness and added an upstairs area resembling an old study with a few tables that's chill. Now you can pay with debit/credit cards. They also sell hard liquor now, so don't try bringing your own anymore. They occasionally have food like free chili cheese dogs. There's one pool table, but the area is kinda tight. The blue dog is no longer there, but the nice older bartender lady is."

Obviously they have billiard tables everywhere, and they also have darts, but what tops this place off for me is that they have PING PONG TABLES!!! Went there with my friend on Thursday night and played ping pong. Jennifer Y. "This is definitely a "pool hall." It has the rough edges and the great alcohol prices. There is a smoking and non-smoking side which is quite a pleasant surprise. They have 7ft, 8ft, and 9ft tables. The bar staff is not super fast but they are pretty friendly. I loved getting their $2 drafts because they had frozen mugs to pair it with and it just made those beer heavenly!! There is plenty of parking and the weekend seemed to always have a waiting list but we didn't wait too long. They also hold an OB Ladies' Tournament here once a year so if you ever want to go and watch some really good female pool players then this is your chance!"

Monica H. "If you're looking for something fun and unique to do in the North Dallas/Denton area, I highly, highly, highly recommend you try this place out. My daughter and I have wanted to try Axe Throwing for a long time now. We were looking for something fun to do on a Saturday night, and she remembered she heard about this place, so she called them and reserved us a booth. We arrived 15 minutes early to sign wavers and watch a quick safety video. After that, Eric took us over to our booth and gave us a lesson on throwing, as well as showed us the different ways to throw the Axe. Once we were comfortable, Eric let us loose, but stayed nearby incase we needed him. It took us a couple of games to really get the hang of it, and once we figured it out, the fun just kept on coming. They have multiple games to choose from to keep things interesting: bullseye, tic tack toe, zombies, connect 4, and more. After your Axe Throwing session, you can keep the fun rolling in their Billiards room with a game of pool. They also have drinks, snacks, and some pretty cool swag for sale as well. The staff here is amazing. Everyone was extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Eric initially taught us how to throw and kept us entertained and engaged throughout the entire experience, which was a added benefit.I HIGHLY recommend this location for tons of fun, to blow off some steam, for special occasions, or just because... you'll really have a blast! Just make sure to wear closed toe shoes, or you can't throw. Thanks guys, we will be back!"

They also have karaoke, shuffle board, pong and a few other games to keep you entertained.Kitchen options are small but have the essentials. Fried pickles are super salty, so make sure you have a beer to wash it all down. They allow smoking inside and also have an outdoor patio attached . The smoke doesn't really bother me, but may bother some, so be aware.Service is pretty standard, the girls are polite and friendly. Sure, it isn't the most spic and span or super happenin', but it's definitely a fun place to come as casual as you want, chill out and have fun.4 stars for always having a table open, Karaoke, and cold beers!"

Shaan S. "Used to be here every other Monday if not every monday for the free pool all day. Bar tenders are all so nice polite and friendly. Lots of regulars here so they get a little better service, but that's expected. 4x 9 foot tables are on the right side and around 12x 8.5 ft tables that were just recently re-felted on the left side. League plays on Monday nights so it'll get a little more crowded then, but other than it's relatively quiet. Nothing crazy, no fights, brawls, breaking pool cues, arguments ever here. Quiet players usually doing their own things. Drunk people aren't really an issue here, everyone is mostly polite and like I said a lot of regulars frequent here so they know the atmosphere. Jukebox with good selection of oldies and new alternative. Under 21 not allowed even if you just wanna play pool. Bathrooms might be my only complaint, but hey it's a bar what do you expect. As far as tables go, this place is great, felt is perfect, lighting is good, and enough space between tables to shoot without fear of skewering someone with your stick. Balls are aramiths in decent condition and enough space on sides to sit, keep drinks, and cue cases and stuff. Only other complaint is they don't serve any food. whatsoever. oh well. Lots of TVs with current sports and news tooNo smoking inside is also nice, but there's a patio outside to smoke at"

Sarrang P. "This is a quiet low key place filled with a bunch of older people but sometimes you can see younger people there. I like this place since they do not allow smoking and so you aren't overwlemed of the smell and it doesn't get on your clothes. I never had a problem with this place and never had trouble getting a table. I believe it is about 20 dollars an hour and I am not sure if they have any specials. The place is slightly hidden and so you can get lost but once you find the place you won't forget the entrance. There are different types of tables here like some without pockets that you can play other pool games with. I felt that the pool table was very slick and so the balls roll very easily. This was hard to play with at first because the pool tables I've played on before are not as glidy as this one. The pool table that has pockets is pretty cool because the balls collect at the bottom nicely and its easy to rack later for the next game. When you walk in, they tell you to pick a table or tell u which table to go to and before you start playing you need to press start on the button for the timer so they can count the time you play. Overall it is a great place to waste time and play pool with friends if you are around the area looking for something to do. However there are a bunch of older men there and it is located in a hidden corner that it is best not to come alone but with a group of people."

Even if you are from the Buffalo area and not interested to go for a game day (gasp) they actually have a small menu for game day that has some local favorites!! The pizza logs are amazing, the beef on weck is a win, meh I'd skip the chicken finger sub unless you are just wanting one and not particular on how "authentic" it is then grab it! I think the pizza has a light drizzle of buffalo sauce on it, don't quote me but I liked it! They have a website, but it does not really give you a lot of information, about their food options, pool, and darts. We stopped by on a early Saturday afternoon, and they were not real busy. We really liked the menu options, and that it focused on things that the majority of people would like to eat, instead of a menu that offers way too many options, that is hard to keep items freshly in stock, and takes away what a restaurant can claim what they do well. Less is more for me, and more for me, means restaurants really don't focus on what ther customers really want to enjoy. We looked at the menu, and the manager Kevin suggested the burgers. They have 12 options, and all 12 looked great. I have to admit, I love a great burger, but because of the holidays, I packed on a few pounds, so we decided on something lighter, and went with the chicken wings. I love a great chicken wing, and Scooters has great Chicken wings. I had eight hot wings that were perfectly fried, and juicy and delicious. My wife ordered the boneless spicy ranch, but they delivered the bone-in. Simple mistake, and we were comped on the bone in, and my wife loved the boneless, perfectly cooked, juicy boneless wings. They came with ranch, jalapeños ranch, and blue cheese sauces, and all three were great. The food was great, our server Brittany was friendly and helpful, Kevin the manager was great, and the overall vibe, with pool tables, dart boards, outside sitting, clean restrooms, and multiple televisions, and great bar options, with great food choices, creates a winning atmosphere. If you find yourself asking how a dive bar could have good food then I want you to think of Whataburger in its truest form: Fresh ingredients and the ability to build or substitute to your hearts desire. That's the Point After. These guys are doing everything right for a dive bar - they've got different events every night (poker m/t, karaoke w-th, live music f-s and open mic sun), pool tables, golden tee etc. specials every day, they're open til two despite the location (and on holidays), have an awesome staff, great drink prices, and serve some amazing food. Admittedly I would have never stepped into this place but decided to skip the gym for happy hour and despite my guilt I ended up staying because this place simply rocks. Had an amazing burger, but I had several regulars give me their unwarranted favorites from the extensive menu ranging from wings to quesadillas to chicken sandwiches and ghost pepper Mac and cheese and more. Met plenty of locals that were ready to network despite me not coming to socialize and had a couple of affordable happy hour (7pm) beers while I enjoyed some random do. The staff here is great but for the best experience be sure Jenny is your bartender. A recent trip to Hooligan's brought a card for the March 9th Artisan Fair to my attention, and I found myself interested and present on 3.9.2019.The parking lot is massive. On this day it was quite full. There was a pretty decent Artisan Fair set up ($10 entry fee) and an outdoor band. As the outdoor band finished, an indoor band would begin, and it was actually very well thought out. I am not sure that they do this alternating indoor/outdoor thing all of the time, but it was very cool. Also, the genres of each indoor and outdoor band were quite different. They have a fair "full bar" selection. However, my reason for the 1 star subtraction is that, I would think in my humble opinion, that a "drafthouse" should:1) Offer a broader variety of draft beer2) Offer a larger size of draft beer than 10 ozI understand an 8oz or 10oz pour of a Stout, but I am talking 10oz pour of Michelob Ultra. I imagine that the bartenders know this, as they immediately default to bottles when one orders a beer. I think the most perplexing thing is that they actually have solo cups, but they do not use them for beers or mixed drinks, it seems. The inside is actually really cool. And while they do not offer free pool as the previous reviewer stated, it is only .75 a game, and the equipment is quality. They also offer electronic gaming, darts, shuffleboard, Big Game Hunter, and have the Breathalyzer machine too. A roll of quarters would offer hours of fun.The place was vibrant. Once again, I cannot say that it was or was not due to the event, but I enjoyed the friendly company of them all. I will absolutely return, and soon. I would suggest it to any of my fellow Yelpers alike. I certainly hope that they add some size to these beers, but regardless, a great little stop."
