Michael M. "Okay this is just simply the best place I've found In Abilene, had the Brisket Sandwich, beans and potato salad, the coleslaw and corn salad were delicious as well, the Brisket was cooked perfect, so tender it melted in my mouth, even their pickles were perfect for the flavor."

Jeff K. "Wow... i was in downtown dallas and was heading home while hunger appeared. it was pretty late into the night and saw that this place was open fairly late. I'm SO glad i stopped here.Simply put, the tacos were 100% delicious, and the best one is the chicharron taco. Normally, chicharron would be fried and crispy, but this place soaks it in sauce and it was like heaven on a plate. I don't know if the supermarket is open (as in you can buy groceries), but i did buy flan as well.i'll be back!"

Amy W. "I have had this bookmarked for a while and was excited to try - I love it when butcher shops offer freshly made sandwiches.  They have a really nice backyard with picnic tables, a big screen TV and fans.  We ordered the brisket sandwich (Comes with pimento cheese) It was about $13.  We also grabbed some smoked potato salad out of the cooler (though I didn't really taste any smoke).  The sandwich is made panini style and they really committed to the pressing of the sandwich with full grill marks.  It was a really good sandwich - though I would say it really could have used more filling overall - more meat and more cheese.  My man and I split it - but with the current fillings - we could have easily both eaten a whole one.  Excited to come back and try the pastrami reuben and the kobe beef hot dog."

Mike S. "Very good Indian food. It is essentially a restaurant counter in a supermarket. You walk up and order your food. Some appetizers are available immediately, but the rest is cooked in the kitchen. There is a large seating area with both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is quite large with, all of the Indian favorites you can imagine. Plenty of vegetarian options too. We ordered butter chicken and chicken vindaloo and both were served very hot. The flavor was great and the portions were quite large, and their naan is some of the best I have ever had."

Naveen R. "Come here if you're hankering for some good Pakistani food. The auto rickshaw close to the entrance of this restaurant is brilliantly colorful and decorated like they do back in Pakistan. The restaurant is situated right next to their supermarket and this is a good spot of find halal meat as well.Their food is affordable and their portion sizes are generous.Since this was a delivery order, I decided to steam my own rice to go with the curry dishes (since they don't provide rice/bread options by default, must be ordered separately, which I don't mind because they have priced their main dishes fairly). My order:-1. Mutton biryani - Flavorful rice and generous amount of meat. My only complaint was that the mutton could have been cooked a little less. Biryani is sometimes not cooked to order, so maybe that was a factor? I don't want to speculate, and give them the benefit of the doubt - 3.5/52. Kheema mattar - Minced meat, in this case goat/lamb, done in gravy form with peas - Very flavorful and cooked perfectly - 5/53. Okra - Done with onions and tomatoes in a spicy gravy - 4/54. Chicken and goat kebabs - Chicken kebabs were flavorful and moist - 5/5.The goat kebabs were a disappointment as they were on the dry side - 3/5Overall, one of the better options for Pakistani food in and around Irving.PS: This was not part of the order for the review, but I recommend their Daal gosht, which is mutton done with spicy lentils. Add that with fluffy rice and you'll be set."

Bob K. "SUMMARY: OMG I love this place and the family who runs it. Kindest owner and the family members and staff are GOLD. Food is great too!BACKGROUND: I thought there wasn't a grocery store or mini market conveniently on the way from my work to home, but one day I decided to see what La Laguna was all about and been patronizing ever since.LA LAGUNAIn the classic sense, LL is your traditional mini market complete with a small selection of produce (fresh and refrigerated), tortillas including freshly made ones they keep steamy in a cooler, but LL is also a carniceria, and a restaurant too. They also have a decent beer selection as well.FOODI first visited because I wanted to just check it out but was pleasantly surprised that they were a restaurant too. We've tried their tacos, tamales, carne de res (soup), bought their fresh corn tortillas, etc. I'd say some things are definitely better than others like their birria tacos are pretty good, but the tamales we ate were a bit too dry for us. We really liked their carne de res soup and their large soup fed us well for two days when we had a light snow storm in Feb 2022. I also bought a Mexican Ribeye steak from their meat case. The owner gave me a pretty good thick slide and we pan fried it (don't have a bbq just yet!) and had a pretty good meal.RETURN VISIT?We are pretty lucky to have a great little mini-market / meat shop / restaurant / fast casual dining place so close to our home!"

Christina T. "What a precious little neighborhood grocer!! I mean seriously. You can actually purchase all you need for making dinner from wine to a butcher's case. Or you can drop by for one of the daily lunch specials. Today was chicken fried steak which came with 2 sides. I got mashed potatoes and collards. They were delicious although the steak was a tad salty - nothing too major though. The breading stayed with the meat. That's huge for me. Also - NO gristles! Take note that the inside dining area will fill up around noon so I ended up on the patio. Thankfully it wasn't as hot - relatively speaking - today as it has been. I wandered back in after eating and left with banana pudding. It was darn good! Had a lot of vanilla wafers. I love soggy banana pudding wafers. They open at 7 and have breakfast burritos at the coffee bar.The staff was outstanding! I think they like their jobs. Note to self: you can't tip using a credit card so make sure to have cash.A decent amount of parking in the small front and back lots. Street parking is also available."

Becca S. "This was my first trip to Indopak. I came for middle eastern pickles and tea. I got what I was looking for and snagged a pack of coconut cookies for good measure. The store was clean and well organized. They had an excellent selection of teas, as well as spices, and produce. This is pretty much what I am looking for in specialty markets. The meat is halal and they have a freezer FULL flatbreads."
