"The jury is still out on this one. I want to love this place, but our first visit here was a mix. Most of what we had was very good, but major pitfalls in the service and some inconsistencies in the caliber of food leave me wondering...I've driven by this place about 100 times and finally decided to give it a while. From the outside the facade is pretty generic. Inside however, it's a small space but still packs a big punch with creating a nice atmosphere. There is a nice green wall with a slick neon sign right past the smallest vestibule I think I've ever seen. The bar is painted a sophisticated dark blue and there are chic gold table lamps on the table tops that add to the ambiance. Our server seemed scatterbrained and not focused. There were times we were questioning whether our food was even coming out. He forgot our drinks- 2 Cokes, and had to be asked if they were coming out. We ordered bruschetta as an appetizer. We had specifically ordered it without onions, but when it came out- it had onions, so that was an even longer wait than anticipated.I was saving room for dessert, so I went with Lobster Bisque, and my husband had the Pasta Di Mare. The Lobster Bisque was fine, but I've had better. The Pasta Fettuccine di Mare was absolutely amazing! If this place is capable of delivering such a stellar dish, I feel compelled to give them another try for other things. I had the key lime pie for dessert. It was pretty overpriced for what I got, and felt that the taste just didn't wow me in any way. I didn't like the texture of the pie itself (I detected coconut perhaps) and I really just wanted a velvety smooth Key Lime Pie. Overall, dining here had more ups than downs, but the consistency varied from dish to dish. Also the service being pretty spotty- I would hope the next visit, we get someone with their head a bit more focused on providing a more attentive posture."

We were sitting by the door and the waiter opened it to let some people leave and we got blasted with cold winter air which also quickly cooled off our food, just something that should be considered when eating somewhere nicer. The food was amazing with large portions at a fair price - we split a salad and an outstanding salmon special. We had some wine while others at our table enjoyed beers and cocktails - all of which were reasonably priced. I wish I could tell you about the dessert but we didn't make it that far. The service was the crown jewel though - we wanted not waited for anything. Our server was top notch and made the night! We will be coming back - great for special occasions with their Photo Booth but reasonable enough for a regular night out. Do give them a try!"

It's also BYOB and to save a few dollars ($3/glass), bring your own wine glass if you're bringing something that's not bottled. The experience is great if your goal is to have a dinner that tastes amazing but this is not somewhere you come and have a romantic dinner for a date night. The bruschetta was a small portion and I'm not the biggest fan of balsamic but every bite was memorable. The Caesar salad and Pollo Alla Milanese entree were a good size and the dishwasher didn't have to clean much cause I licked the plates clean. My girlfriend also really enjoyed her lentil soup and gnocchi.The service was good but not very fast. Overall, I'm happy that I didn't listen to the negative reviews here on Yelp and got to experience this place."

The crust was cooked to perfection, the marinara sauce was so tasty, the Jamaican patty was delicious and flavorful and the mozzarella sticks had the right crunch and plenty of cheesy goodness! I felt like I was in NYC! If you're looking for your tastebuds to be transported to NY this place is it. I even heard another customer say that they make the drive from across town just because they love the pizza. I will be doing the same! This place is worth the drive for me. The service is NY style service and friendly. The spot can fit about 30-50 people with tables of four or two seated per table. They have a huge picture of NYC on one wall with the other full of several pictures in frames. It's very laid back and relaxed ambiance that is not formal at all. I'm looking forward to coming back whenever I'm craving pizza. Definitely check them out for a NYC pizza experience!"

It gave it the whole classy, old NY vibe. At some point they started playing different music, but when my husband and I went a couple weeks ago, they were playing an entire live Billy Joel album. It just went from one Billy Joel song to the next with long, awkward pauses in between, along with talking and applause since it was live. So weird. Totally changed the vibe from romantic/classy to kind of depressing. On top of that, the zucchini chips and our calamari were both undersalted. We've never had that problem before. We ended up not even staying for dinner and went somewhere else. I just couldn't handle the whole music thing going on! Hopefully it will go back to the way it used to be!"

He did not disappoint. 2 StarsFood: Sergio ordered me the Penne and it was amazing. The sausage was the highlight. So tasty. And the sauce had just that little bit of Italian spiciness that set it off. My dinner buddy tonight ordered the Chicken Parm and WOW!!! Not only was it two HUGE crispy fried chicken cutlets, but they were so tender, they seemed to just melt in your mouth. It came with the pasta of the day, which happened to be farfalle in a delicate marinara sauce. Overall: We will be back and we will sit outside. We will also ask for Sergio by name. Such a great evening."

I would like to try other things on their menu which was quite extensive, but will have to wait for another time, would recommend. "My wife's birthday was coming up and she had been wanting to try Cheese Wheel Pasta also called "pasta alla ruota" that she saw trending on Instagram shorts. What is Cheese Wheel Pasta? It's a dish served table side where the chef scrapes the cheese wheel into a bowl and lites it on fire mixing in the pasta as the cheese melts into the pasta. My wife did some research and found out that Zeno on the Squre did it in downtown Weatherford, so we made the hour long drive out for her birthday.The main chef Massimiliano Zubboli came to the table and was a fun showman explaining what he was doing during the process while the huge cheese wheel was set on fire. It was all smiles and was such a joy to watch him work so happily. The Pasta Wheel pasta was absolutely warm, rich and delicious. You have to have a minimum of two people to get the pasta wheel and it cost $28 that is such a great price for all you get. We added the scallops and shrimp to our pasta too. I very much recommend Zeno's on the Square. Especially ambience, the service and the fun they have and really appreciate that they made my wife's Birthday very special to her. We love the restaurant, the phenomenal food and the superior service. Aventino's has never disappointed us.Our visit, one of the busiest days at a restaurant, was on Valentine's Day. It's a very special day for couples to go out to eat. Many restaurants roll out special prix fixe menus for a special dining experience. When we learned that Aventinos was staying with their standard menu, which we love, I booked our reservations in a heartbeat early. I am glad I did because they were sold out for the day. I'm not against prix fixe menus for special occasions, but sometimes the prices are so expensive.My wife and I arrived at our scheduled reservation. It was wonderful to be back in their serene atmosphere with the music playing quietly in the background. Aventinos has a wonderful ambience, the venue is so inviting for its patrons. Our table was ready, they already had a chair pulled out since I am in a wheelchair. I had noted that when making our reservation. Just as a sidenote, we are very close friends with the owners, Erica and Chris. They know, I'd never sugar-coat or whitewash a Yelp review in favor or the restaurant when it wasn't deserved.After being seated and getting to say hi to Erica, our server took our drink orders. We chose a glass of our favorite wines and ordered our favorite entrees. Unfortunately, we rarely vary what we order. My wife LOVES Aventino's incredible lasagna, and I LOVE their Chicken Scallopini (aka Chicken Piccata). I like anything that has lemon in it!Our wine arrived so we did a toast to Valentine's Day. Our incredible house salads following our wine. We also ordered a basket of garlic bread. It was SO good. Aventinos signature salad dressing is so good, you just want to drink it. I believe its red wine vinegar based, but that's it. Their salads are the perfect size and served on a cold plate. What a wonderful way to start our celebratory dinner.After a short wait our entrees arrived, and they were absolutely perfect. If I could jump into my plate of Chicken Scallopini, I would have, it was SO delicious. As my wife was devouring her lasagna, not a word was being said. She finally said, "I have a VERY happy pallet and tummy! I am so glad we came here for Valentine's Day." I knew I had hit a homerun.
