Sharon C. "We are on our way to our granddaughter's wedding. What a pleasant surprise to find that this Residence Inn is much nicer than your average Residence Inn. It's right in a shopping area and there's a Whole Foods very close. That's lucky for us because I'm my husband has diverticulitis. We wouldn't even be traveling if our granddaughter wasn't getting married. We can't miss that. It's so nice to be able to get healthy food and stay in the room. The hotel is just 4 years old. It's in a trendy shopping center and right by the entrance to the interstate. It's a surprised treat."

Jennifer B. "Rather than staying at a hotel, Big Bro, wifey and extended family decided to cabin it instead. (This was such a great idea, I shoulda done this!)We got the chance to come through to check it out. Picked up some groceries not too far from here just to give their grills a run! The cabins gave off a rustic feel, and the ones they got can fit up to 4 people comfortably. The grills were clean, although I don't know if that was Big Bro's doing or Jellystone's. Benches and tables also provided. The kids got to play and swim at the pool nearby, so that's a plus. The only downer here is that the cabins aren't equipped with any kitchen utensils. (Okay, I'll admit, most of not all cabins I've been are complete with anything and everything - sheets, towels, seasonings, included. Maybe I just got a little spoiled.) But there is a mini-store nearby where you might be able to find bare essentials. Parking isn't an issue. Spots are assigned next to the cabins. Glad I got experience it - albeit just a few hours. One day, maybe, I might be able to get a full experience of the grounds."

The young woman at the front desk even called to see what time we were arriving to make sure everything was all set for our arrival. The room was much bigger and very clean and bright. The pool and hot tub were perfect after a long day of driving and right before bed. They were very accommodating to my two large dogs. They provided dog waste bags and receptacle and had large grass areas for them. The free Breakfast the next morning was delicious and they had so many options to choose from! Beautiful setting and everyone was great.Would highly recommend staying here with or without dogs!"

The staff some were nicer than others. Check in the 3:00 crew was not great we were given on key and a room number that's it. After the first night of the 3 night stay, the key wouldn't work. I left to go to my meeting and came back and the front doors were locked. I was informed at that time that they are locked until after breakfast. I would have known that if the person who checked me I. Would have taken time to tell me that. I had to be nosy at the front desk while waiting for my new key I read a note that was flat on the desk stating that housekeeping only came on Certain days. Last but not least we had no hot water and had to call the front desk . It was fixed I might add. I decided to check out early and the same person who was too busy to share the needed information at check - in was there and told me they only give receipts at morning checkouts. I was done at that point I was out. Breakfast was more than enough for me. Typical hotel choices, everything was clean and neat.To manager / owner : monitor your young staff Housekeeping needs to make sure they don't leave hair everywhere in the bathroom. That can make or break someone's. I travel with cleaning supplies."

Heidi H. "The very best part of Hotel Revel was Shelton who has many functions at the hotel and makes a very good martini. It's a unique concept and only for those who are comfortable with completely human free checkin and arrival. It's a very spare interior. The furniture in the rooms is attached to the walls so can't be moved, there is no desk space or chair in the room, so also not conducive if you're planning to work from your room. The bar on the entry level is attractive and inviting (and is closed on Sundays). If possible arrive in the daytime so you can more easily navigate the check in and parking."

From the first airport shuttle ride with John to the ride back to the airport with Wiley, the staff went above and beyond to provide great service. At check in, Lena was extremely friendly and gave us recommendations of things to do in the area. The hotel looks like the pictures. It is newer, opened in May 2021 and the staff is doing a great job keeping it maintained. Our room (328) was very spacious, even as a studio suite and perfect for sharing with my best friends for our weekend trip. Like most Homewood locations it had a full kitchen with dishes etc. The decor in the lobby and rooms were modern and pretty. The place felt clean. The gym was nice. The complimentary breakfast was decent, with the basic foods such as waffles, toast, muffins, boiled egg, scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, and potatoes. It worked to put something on your stomach, but there are other restaurants within a half mile too (Chick-fil-A, Popeyes, Panera Bread, McDonald's etc.)The bed was so COMFORTABLE! I slept like a baby each night. I have no complaints whatsoever. If you're thinking of booking this hotel and need to fly through DFW with a complimentary shuttle, then I recommend Homewood Suites by Hilton DFW Airport South."

There are a couple of nearby places to eat, but Uber Eats delivers FREE to this hotel. The room was clean, and the bed had 4 pillows on it, and the sheets were not scratchy! You can ask for housekeeping every other day. There was a nice little gym, a pool and a jacuzzi that allowed you to watch the beautiful sunset, and even a putting green and outdoor games for the kids. One of the best things about this place was the breakfast that is included with your stay! The food is great! Waffles, pancakes, cereal, muffins, bagels, bacon, sausage, juice, coffee, oatmeal, fresh fruit, etc. the food changed each morning! Everyone that works here smiled and seemed happy to help with anything we needed! It was easy to order a Lyft to go to the Stockyards, Botanical Gardens, the Zoo, Epic Central, and the museums! We also found a walking path nearby that took you to a cute little BBQ place and by a little shopping plaza. Stay here, and I'm pretty sure your whole family will thank you. They even have a little snack and drink corner by registration. The suite had a refrigerator, microwave, sink, some dishes, a pull out couch bed a chair, and a little dining table."

The location turned out almost perfectly between my niece's home and the church where her daughter (my great niece) was baptized. The location feels new - everything is clean, roomy, modern, and up to date. Front desk staff was incredibly helpful. I called before we arrived, because it was our first time traveling with our infant daughter and we overlooked something. Unfortunately, the hotel couldn't accomodate my request (they may have been hamstrung because I made the reservation through Hotwire) -but I was left with the distinct impression they would have accomodated my request if it was available - regardless of how I booked. In general, every interaction I had with staff was great. As we were preparing for our car-trip home to San Antonio with our 6mo old, we asked the front desk if they could keep a freezer pack in the kitchen freezer so we could keep bottles cold on the way home. No questions asked, they took our cool pack, labeled it with our room number and got it back to us with no issues the next day.For us, this turned out to be a great stay - and the A/C in the room? A luxury hotel built by its wealthy owner so her wealthy friends would have a place to stay when visiting Fort Worth. She is an equestrian, so the theme is horses, but done in a very modern and sophisticated way. Modern west is what they call it. Lots of leather, wood, and warm brown hues. Comfortable and not pretentious or tacky. The rooms are spacious, beds very comfortable, and well appointed with high end amenities. There's a spa, restaurant, and a bar. Outdoor pool. The art throughout is interesting and from the owner's private collections. Front desk, housekeeping, and bell service was spot on. In the restaurant and bar, the service was off. Long waits, orders forgotten, food not cooked correctly. Chalk it up to being new. The experience overall was great, and look forward to trying the hotel again when they are more settled."

And it was $250 less than any other hotel within walking distance of Billy Bob's where we were seeing Robert Earl Keen.I'd stay here again, but I'd get there early in case there was something seriously wrong with the room I was assigned. That way I could switch to a better room before they were all full. And, they will all be full if there's a good show anywhere nearby. And for all the haters--you will always get what you pay for. The hotel was fine, nice even, but unfortunately next to a liquor store and vape shop, with unsavory characters hanging around the hotel parking lot. We spent an afternoon walking around Downtown Fort Worth...and walked past the Omni. Now, I am a country girl. I was raised country, and country is what I'll always be. So is it any surprise that I fell in love with the Omni Fort Worth Hotel the moment we stepped in to look around? What an absolutely beautiful hotel. The decor...the architecture...the Texas hospitality...the bar and lounge, Whisky and Rye...my hubby could see I was in love, so he booked us two impromptu nights. The Omni was one of the highlights of our trip, and it made a huge impression on me. The room was gorgeous, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The fitness center was huge, and the pool was beautiful. I had a relaxing night swim in the wind and under the stars. The only downside of the pool area is that the hot tub is difficult to get in and out of because there are no steps -- you have to step over the rim of the hot tub. Not so easy for people with disabilities, like me, but I managed. Valet service was quick, friendly, and efficient. The on-site Starbucks was great for morning cup of joe. The gift shop had Southwestern towels that I bought even though they were very pricey. We live just north of Houston and I had already planned to host a market & Easter event that same day until 3pm. We arrive at Hotel Otto/ Gemelle. There wasn't any parking available besides the 1 ADA spot and 15 minute check in parking. I took the check in parking. We walked around the front trying to figure out where to check into the hotel. The front door of Gemelle had a sign blocking the doors so we walked to the patio where the hostess greeted us. She directed us to the bar area for check in. We reach the bar area and we're greeted by two ladies. Both very nice. We arrived a little after 7, and I let them know I had made reservations at Gemelle for 8 (this was the latest Open table allowed). We arrived sweaty, sun burned and in the clothes we had been in all day for an outside event. We were given a tour of the property, told we get welcome drinks as well as there being ingredients in the room for Aperoll Spritz. She (I did not catch her name) asked if we needed anything else. I mentioned we wanted to do a fire so she grabbed a starter log and lighter and brought back to us. She also called me a few moments later and told us not to rush for reservations she moved them back. I was so thankful I was dying for a shower and to change. The rooms are cute, they are smaller than the average hotel room but they pack in all the amenities. It's a container so go in with the right expectations and you'll have a great time! The roof top deck is such a nice touch with the fire pit. We made it to Gemelle around 8:30 and what an experience we had! It was awesome! We over ordered and took a lot to go! The food was absolutely delicious and we hadn't eaten all day so we got a bit of everything to try. For my welcome drink I chose Season of the Witch YUMMM! Vic C. "While looking for a place to stay in Waxahachie, Texas, I came across The English Merchant Inn, a bed and breakfast. This place intrigued me and decided to book this place for a week, since I was tagging along a business trip my husband had.Check in for this hotel is between 3- 6 pm. Unfortunately, my husband and I were not able to check in during that time and luckily had been able to get ahold of Howard, one of the owners of this place, and told us he would still be awake to check in until ~10 pm, when he goes to bed. But that he would leave the key in the cottage, where I had booked to get in, in case we come in after that.Howard was very nice when we met him (we ended up arriving after 9 pm). He showed us to the cottage, which is a small little place behind the main house (where there are 4 other rooms). The cottage has a king size bed with small living room. The bathroom is just a short few steps away from the sink. There is also a shower and a footed tub. I'm not a fan of baths and so I booked this place specifically for the shower. I wasn't too sure if the rooms inside the main house had showers, as I only saw photos of the footed tub (but there are a few rooms that do. I believe the room on the first floor only has a tub). The living room had a large TV and a Keurig machine with plenty of coffee and tea pods. I liked that a lovely tea set was provided to have my tea made in.As for breakfast, Howard had provided information for 3 places around town that we could get breakfast at. We ended up going to the White Rhino Coffee a few times and also El Mexicano Grill once.Overall, I would say that staying here was comfortable. Howard was very friendly and greatly appreciated him showing my husband and I a tour of the main house and most of the guest rooms (as we were the only ones staying at this bed and breakfast). But there were a few things that I want to mention that was unexpected. One was the daily housekeeping. Because my husband was at work during the day, I was staying in the cottage by myself. On our first day, my husband picked me up during his lunch so that we could pick up lunch at a nearby restaurant and then eat it at the cottage. When we came back, our door was wide open. I was surprised and thought I had forgotten to lock the door. But when I came in, I saw Tony, a friendly employee removing the sheets from our bed and putting on new ones. He told me that normally he comes by in the morning while guests typically would go out for breakfast but that he was late today.I had told him we didn't need housekeeping the next day. However, he came by, but only because I had asked Howard for some more tea pods for the Keurig, so he had Tony come by to provide new ones and clean towels. I didn't know if Tony would come but had a feeling, so I tried to take a shower very quickly when I woke up the next morning. The door that has the sink does not lock and because the way the shower and the mirror at the sink is angled, you can see someone taking a shower. This definitely made me feel uncomfortable, not knowing if Tony would come in for housekeeping and see me.Another thing that I want to mention is the train that goes all day and all night. The first morning we were here, I heard the train sounding the horn at 6:45 am and kept on going. My husband told me that typically the train will sound the horn when passing by intersections so cars know to stay back. I didn't really hear the trains too much later that first night. However, on the last night, the trains were going off all night long. I was so incredibly tired and severely sleep deprived when we woke up early the next day for our flight to fly back home to Los Angeles. I hardly was able to sleep (the train horn is very loud and you can hear it from several miles away). Also just wanted to mention that I heard a rooster around 6:30 am every morning and also heard the rooster in the afternoon each day. Same with hearing dogs barking. These noises didn't bother me but the train sound was definitely a problem. Of course these outside noises are not the fault of The English Merchant Inn but wanted to mention them.I really enjoyed my stay in the cottage at The English Merchant Inn but not entirely sure if I can stay again with all the noise. Where the majority of hotels are in this city, they are on the outskirts of town. According to my husband (he has traveled to Waxahachie several times for work), you can't hear the trains from the hotels, where he stayed before). If I was to stay here again, I would have to bring some really good ear plugs to block out all the noise for a restful night's sleep."

Scott B. "This hotel will now be our go-to downtown Fort Worth hotel. It has such a classy vibe with impecable styling and service. We were upgraded to a suite on the top room floor (#23) - wow. Check-in is on the top floor (#24) which is also their lounge area with a nice bar. This hotel has a perfect location- central to all of downtown and 10mins away from Magnolia Street. So many nice bars & restaurants within a 1-4 block walk."

Sarah S. "Had an absolutely amazing experience here this weekend! If I could give Azalea Plantation 10 stars, I WOULD! Our Innkeepers, Martha and Richard were absolutely fabulous. They were so gracious and sweet and they have a beautiful bed and breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, WOW, it was AMAZING! We stayed in the Lily of the Valley room and it was stunning. I absolutely loved all of the details of this room. There is a nice whirlpool tub and they also have a porch (great place to sit out and have a cup of coffee in the morning!). Overall, such a wonderful bed and breakfast. This was my first bed & breakfast experience and it was better than I could even imagine."
