"This place has some of the most DELICIOUS food in the Metroplex. I happened upon this establishment on Uber Eats and I was so pleased that I placed a takeout order the very next day. Yes two days in a row...DON'T JUDGE ME!!We had the: Spicy Fish Tikka (BOMB), Veggie Chowmein, Veggie Momo (TASTY), Mustang Ko Aloo & Garlic/Rosemary Pesto Naan (UNEXPECTEDLY AMAZING). Some don't have exciting bold words behind them but they all were fabulous.My husband and I just recently started a Pesco-Vegetarian diet and to find flavorful, fresh and well priced/portioned food that meets our dietary needs is a game changer. Indoor dining is very nice and date worthy. Service is superb.Definitely pay them a visit, your taste buds can thank me later."

"Pretty sure this place is authentic based on the crowd - each time I've visited it's been packed with Nepali people. I can't believe we have a restaurant this exotic in Bedford - Mutton Dum Biryani, anyone? Fragrant and flavorful as can be - although watch for bones, and be aware that if you order it spicy you'll get what you asked for. I also enjoyed pork thukpa, an aromatic soup with plenty of veggies and pieces of roast pork. After a meal here, you'll be dreaming of going to Kathmandu. If you're looking for something more familiar, they serve big, beautiful samosa (delicious) and a few other Indian standards like butter chicken (which I haven't tried). Did I mention it's BYOB, y'all? Friendly service and very reasonable prices."

My one thing is that if you want it spicy maybe you have to ask? I always feel like everything is mild when we order."

"Service is for sure 5 stars. The gentleman that helped me out with a togo order was very helpful. It was going to be 15-20 mins for my order so I ran across the street to grab something while I waited, he ended up seeing me pull back up and he went ahead and brought my order to my car! Plus, gave me a few pointers on trying out their first sauce to test for heat level tolerance and reminding me to give it a few mins to cool due to them being fresh. They only have chicken and pork options right now. I had a number of people tell me they had veggie ones before I got the chance to visit, but apparently they were having some quality control issues with veggie so they have stuck with the two they have now. I do hope they bring the veggie one back! My husband enjoyed the ones we did get and he said he would keep it in his rotation for lunch stops, especially due to it not being to far for him to go."

"I know nothing about Nepalese cuisine. I just know I like dumplings.I had originally set out to try a place down the street, but they are temporarily closed. I googled momos near me, and found myself at Anita's. It is a small shop in a stop mall, and has only been open about a month. I asked the man behind the counter which variety he preferred and he recommended the pork. However, he told me they were temporarily out of the sauce they serve with it and only had their hot sauce. Being a spice enthusiast, I said bring it on. He insisted I taste it before ordering. It was fine. After a short wait, I was on my way with some steaming hot dumplings with hot sauce. You could tell that the wrappers were homemade. The filling was tender and flavorful. I tossed them in 5he chili sauce which I thought was a bit tame, though again, I am a spice fan. It did have that wonderful lingering numbing effect wich I typically associate with Sichuan food. I really enjoyed my momos and will be back to try them again."

"My rating is price vs. taste & quality of food. This place has amazing quality of food with very authentic taste. I tried the chicken thali, every item on the plate was very tasty and fresh. Except for the Chicken, every item can be topped up again. The lady who was serving us was very courteous and prompt. There were total 8 items in the thali; saag, dry squash curry, dal, papad, cauliflower curry, bamboo shoot curry, chicken curry and rice2nd visit, very good as expected. "Small business with a couple tables that made for a very chill evening on a Tuesday. Besides a couple to go orders, we were the only two dining in. Service was so kind and friendly - and they even brought us a little dessert (probably because we were there so long haha).The chicken thali was delicious! I loved the variety and presentation. I enjoyed mixing bites of the spicy curry, creamy butter chicken and textured daal (lentils). The rice was cooked perfectly and the chutney like sauce at the top of the thali was sooo good. The fresh veg was pleasant to have between bites of warm, spicy curry. The gajar ka halwa (at least that is what it reminded me of - a carrot dessert) was amazing. Overall it was a great meal that felt like home cooking."

"Went with a friend from Nepal as we traversed they Dallas on a work trip to central Texas. He wanted me to try authentic Nepalese food and I was more than happy to go with an expert. Once we arrived, I let my buddy direct me on ordering. We split appetizer of Sukuti. He explained it was a form of dried water buffalo. That was a staple in parts of Nepal. The meat was firm but flavorful. If youHave ever had soft but slightly chewy beef jerky it's the closest thing I can think of to describe it. Although I am not doing it justice. It was probably by far my favorite dish and they were all good. He said it was the most authentic like his family would make. We then had momos (dumplings with chicken in a red sauce). I was not expecting much as many dumplings from other cultures seem bland, I was surprised by how flavorful these were. The main course was their Namaste Special Thali Set. I had chicken and my friend had mutton. Both meats were good (and I'm not a fan of mutton). The various sides that are also on the set (can't remember the names) were excellent. I loved the black eyed peas that came with it. I quickly ran out of rice and they happily brought more. The atmosphere was well done. A modern mix of upscale restaurant meets a sports bar. It was nicer than expected when I first saw it in the corner of the little shopping mall. There were several tvs including a massive quad tv. But they blended well without being distracting. There were not many people based on the large group in the table behind me, I do not suspect noise would be an issue. The waitress was excellent. My only issue was that it was pretty dark. I almost yearned for a flashlight (remembering not to find it so amusing the next time my father uses one to read a menu)....."

"Mantra offers incredible Indian-Nepalese fusion food. The establishment was fairly humble. It's in a run-down shopping center attached to a gas station.Our server was very sweet. I came with a large group and the kitchen genuinely struggled to keep up. Our food came out at several different times. We asked for garlic naan which seemed to flummox them. They could have and should have upsold a lot more of the group on mango lassi, but brought us bottled water instead.I ordered the aloo gobhi lunch special which came with basmati rice and a pickled chutney. It was delicious and super affordable.This hole-in-the-wall is definitely worth checking out. The food is spectacular and the staff is friendly."

"Based on my own experience thus far, this location is a great place to visit if you're seeking great Indian Himalayan food. Although the outside of the building did look a little rough, the interior had a pleasant atmosphere, so I'd advise you to not let that deter you. Nevertheless, the food was excellent. I started my lunch with some chicken 65, a dish that is popular in Nepal, and let me just tell you that this was some of the greatest chicken I've ever tasted. It was extremely crunchy and spicy, and eating it made me sweat. As a result, I'll add that if spicy cuisine is not your thing, I'd advise staying away from this establishment. You could also just ask for no heat, but where's the honor in that?I also got some paratha aloo after that, which was delicious, but I wish they had cheese paratha. Nevertheless, it was pleasant and complemented my main meal, a taxmax curry that was the chef's special. It had lamb, spinach, black lentils, yellow lentils, and a mouthwatering masala curry. If you're not a big flavor explorer, I'd say this might not be your cup of tea, as most of the people I shared my plate with didn't like it, but I'm sure it's just because they don't like this sort of food. Overall, this restaurant was good; the food portions were sizable and reasonably priced, so I'd recommend it to anyone in the area seeking good, authentic Indian Himalayan food."

"The wife and I stopped in here around 6pm for dinner and we were seated right away. Our waitress "Supriya" came over right away to take our drink orders and explain the menu. Our drinks arrived pretty quickly, but it took a little longer then normal for our meal to arrive. My wife and I ordered the chicken and lamb tikka masala and it was really good and the meat was very tender. The restaurant was very clean and quiet. We will definitely be back for another visit."

"Being from the area, Bara peaked our interest from the moment the sign went up. So we were stoked to give it a go this past Friday.Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess who asked for our preference in seating. They have quite the selection from booths to tables to bar top seating to floor level seating with foot wells. Since it was just two of us, we opted for a booth. The place wasn't busy when we walked in, but by the time we left, it was standing room only.We started by ordering a couple glasses of Chardonnay, which they surprisingly brought us a sample of before pouring a full glass (this was the first indicator of the absolutely exceptional customer service they provide).From there, we began perusing the menu. However, with neither of us having ever had Nepalese food, we really didn't know what we were looking at. As such, we simply asked our server for a suggestion of 3 or 4 dishes we couldn't skip. She kindly suggested the Momo Steamed dumplings, the mutton and chicken skewers and the signature Bara dish, which is a lentil pancake served with a delicious spicy sauce.Food was brought out promptly and everything was absolutely delicious. The Momo were definitely my favorite. The dumplings were perfectly cooked and flavorful and the sauce went just right with them. The skewers were tasty and having never had mutton, I can say it was quite delicious. The lentil pancake was wonderful and came with a creamy spicy sauce. Everything they brought out totally hit the spot and contained flavors we weren't used to.The staff was absolutely amazing. Everyone in the building seemed to be taking care of every single table whether it was directly their section or not. As an example, one server walked over to note that our table seemed wobbly (we hadn't even noticed) and offered to level it for us. We probably interacted with 4 or 5 people in our time at Bara. All were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. When the check came, we were reluctant to leave, as we were enjoying it so much. The prices were absolutely excellent, particularly considering the quality of the product.We will definitely be making Bara a staple of our dining out."

We tried the mutton set (plate), chicken set, a couple different momos (dumplings), and shrimp. We were served complimentary masala chai--delicious. Everything was tasty, servings were generous, and we can't wait to return. Our favorite was the mutton, which wasn't gamey at all as we were expecting. It tasted like beef, actually, and would make great street tacos. lol Those momos were delectable. We had steamed chicken and pan fried veg. We will try different ones on our next visit. Prices were extremely reasonable (honestly, a comparable meal somewhere else would be at least 50% more). Service was warm and friendly, and you could tell everyone had great pride in their food. I got the pork chili momos and the chicken seared momosThe pork chili was packed with lots of flavor (red onions, and jalapeños were included) and the inside was juicy. The seared ones were a bit dryer on the inside and the tomato sauce was not as flavorful as other places I've gotten momos from. If the sauce and the meat was not dry, I'd have given this place a 5/5. Inside had booths and tables. You order at the register. They also serve alcohol which seems like a good place to meet up with some friends to catch up or grab a meal. We got take out and the order did take about at least 15 minutes to come out so it seemed fresh!"

"Alright, I went on a limb and decided to stop by this restaurant. To start, it was very clean and the waitress was sweet and pointed me in the direction to place my to-go order. Being a new patron, I was not familiar with their menu and again, the waitress was very helpful with her suggestions.I started off with the Chicken Tikka Nachos: I was so disappointed, actually, I felt worse than disappointed. The chicken was beyond dry, and I mean, dry. I got there around the time they opened, I can only assume they were still trying to get rid of the previous days food. I dipped the chicken in the sauce that came with it, hoping that would help, it didn't. Stuffed Naan: Again, the chicken was dry. I actually was very surprised, I've never had a naan that wasn't cooked perfectly. Mango Lassi: That is the only RAVE I can give about this visit, that drink was delicious! Overall, I can't say I will not go back. I believe I chose to go at the wrong time, and chose the wrong thing. My first thought was to get the Butter Chicken, next time, I will not sway away from that."
