Christina T. "What a precious little neighborhood grocer!! I mean seriously. You can actually purchase all you need for making dinner from wine to a butcher's case. Or you can drop by for one of the daily lunch specials. Today was chicken fried steak which came with 2 sides. I got mashed potatoes and collards. They were delicious although the steak was a tad salty - nothing too major though. The breading stayed with the meat. That's huge for me. Also - NO gristles! Take note that the inside dining area will fill up around noon so I ended up on the patio. Thankfully it wasn't as hot - relatively speaking - today as it has been. I wandered back in after eating and left with banana pudding. It was darn good! Had a lot of vanilla wafers. I love soggy banana pudding wafers. They open at 7 and have breakfast burritos at the coffee bar.The staff was outstanding! I think they like their jobs. Note to self: you can't tip using a credit card so make sure to have cash.A decent amount of parking in the small front and back lots. Street parking is also available."

Aruna K. "Always my preferred stop for Indian street food like the chats, sugarcane juice, the vadas, various fritters, pastries and so on, the food we had was great in taste but not heated at all, I mean acold day and chilli bajjis- its meant to be steaming hot even if its only microwaved .The pani puri though was great with the hot ragda, and the sev also had ragda which was hot. Still, the street food here is better than closer home so .... even when everything is served in take away plates and boxes. Of course they have huge array of Indian food in terms of dald, pacchadis, kooras and so on, and it is a part grocery store too, so basically like one stop shop. Ambiance is - you can probably guess from the above, a little noisy and crowded, and the limited seating area is acceptable only if you get lucky to get the front two rows.In summary- an traditional Indian in Dallas ; You simply cannot survive without depending on Swadeshi for one thing or another."

Jeremy W. "Seen a review of "if you are tired of Tex-mex, this is the place. So I swang by on my taco tour of the week end. Very good tacos can't wait to go back with the wife and daughter to hit up some seriously good authentic tacos. Music was on Point!! Grew up in California and always loved going to Mexican markets that had a Taqueria's in them. Next time going to try some of there many marinated meat in the meat, market section. Worth a stop in!!"

Thaung M. "My favorite place for afternoon chai and samosas. Since I work nearby I go there at least once a week. Their veggie samosas are so cheap at $0.85 each! So a handful of snacks that'll fill you up good would only run you less than $5. And they take card! They also sell other snacks: pakoras, gulab jumun, meat puffs etc.Everything tastes so good and authentic.I'd even put their food above Patel Brother's."

Robert B. "I've been coming here for years. Small home spun joint serving the finest in homemade chips and fresh salsas. They also sell Mexican cheeses, of which I have sampled most, all delicious. They sell fresh made tortillas, always the best. They also sell lunch trays, but I haven't sampled the fresh cooking. No real sit down room, all intended to be take out. I tell you what, their salsas are about the hottest and finest I've ever had. I've lived all over Texas in my 51 years and travelled through New Mexico extensively. I've never had hotter or better salsa. Ever. I make a long special trips anytime I want the finest HOT sauces. Always worth the trip. I give them a five star for consistently offering something no one else has managed to corner: the hot hot homemade salsa market."

Peggy S. "I have buyers remorse currently. I stopped in there on my way to do something else and I saw the pastries in the case. They look much better than they taste. I ordered a butterscotch and pineapple pastry. The butterscotch was not moist, it was a bit dry. The pineapple was a little bit more moist however both pastries tasted like they had freezer burn ruining the whole experience. I'm really disappointed because their presentation is amazing."

bw p. "Absolutely the best hidden gem in the neighborhood!! I was craving daiquiri but didn't want to drive to Arlington or Carrollton. Then I saw the sign on the side of this mini mart saying "daiquiris".I'm glad I decided to give it a try! Not only the daiquiris were good but the chicken tenders and spring rolls were the best I had(chickens were so tender and flavorful and I've never seen so much meat in spring rolls!!!)We only tried 2 flavors of daiquiris(they had four). I will go back soon and try the other flavors."

Kevin W. "This place is very inexpensive, quick, and quite good. This is inside a convenience store so parking is limited and there is limited seats to dine inside. Honestly, it would be much better for you to get carry-out. I ordered some catfish filets and fried chicken. The catfish filets were huge for only costing $2 each. There is nothing special about their mac-n-cheese. The chicken is good also."

Michael S. "First and foremost, this is NOT a restaurant! It's a food / New Orleans / Saints market with a kitchen in the back. I was expecting to at least be able to walk up to a counter, see what today's specials were, and place my order. Nope! There's a sign up front (which I missed) telling you to place your order at the cash register and they'll bring the food to you. There was no list of specials that I could find.A lot of their shelves were bare, but I remember reading on Facebook or Instagram that they are receiving a shipment this week. So, hopefully everything gets restocked well. The food? I had the catfish and shrimp dinner. Catfish, shrimp, fries, and some toast. It was all good. ONE thing I liked was that the catfish wasn't the same basic filet you get everywhere else. This stuff looked like it was caught, fileted, breaded, and cooked. It wasn't the "smooth / perfect" filets you see everywhere else. There was something about that that I liked. Everything was seasoned with a little "kick."I may go back some day when I know they're going to have gumbo.I liked the food. I just wish they had somewhere to sit down and eat it, on site. As it was, I drove back to work, and sat in the parking lot, eating my lunch. It was a good lunch, though. :)"
