"Chicken with white rice and salad was delicious. The chicken was moist and tender. The salmon a la carte was dry. The lamb a la carte was delectable. The spinach was below average. Good customer service. Plenty of parking. No indoor sitting, however, outdoor seating is available."
"Been to this place multiple times times. Great Mediterranean food! Great service from staff. They offer complimentary bread for starter. You can enjoy your meal in a great ambiance."

"Great food. We were the only ones in. A nice lady took care of us. I recommend the stuffed grape leaves. They only give 3 I could eat about 15 of those in one sitting! The Kafta platter was amazing. The rice was sooooooo good. I could also eat that all by itself. When we were leaving it looks like the family stopped by, which was sweet"
"Best chicken shawarma in town, hands down. We went on a night when they had a live guitarist softly playing up front. This is a BYOB place that offers fresh, delicious food is an atmosphere that is comfortable but understated.Try the baba ghanoush, the lemon rice soup, and the chicken shawarma (duh)."
"Wow. Seriously tasty and fresh. Way bett3r than expected...and friendly service! This gem is located on Rufe Snow. I hit the drive-thru and order3d their 1/4 pounder with cheese meal. I traded the fries for onion rings. My diet coke was HUUUuuuuGE....and was even better than McDonald's fountain drinks! Truth! The burger was really good and held fresh veggies. The onion rings needed a little salt, but oh so good. I went through the drive thru, so the ambiance was minimal...but i love seeing Tex with the big yellow star. Did I mention the soft delicious bun?! So good!"
"Looking for something fresh and light, we found this place on YELP!(Always best to eat before the Costco run!). What I couldn't believe was this place has been here 5 years, almost 250 reviews, and I still hadn't heard of it! That's a real #hiddengem right there! There was only one lady working, and I felt she might've been the owner. She cooked, she cleaned, she served, and she smiled-- A LOT! And watching her knife skills on the gyro cone was impressive!I cannot say if this is Halal or not, but there are vegan and vegetarian options here!We started with the appetizer sampler: 4 dolmas, 4 spanakopita, 3 falafel, black olives, hummus, tsaziki, and pita bread! Plenty for 2-3 to share! The gyro was mounded high with meat, and full of veggies! Highly flavored, and delicious! The pita was hot and delicious!Of course, we had to end with baklava. This redeems most of the sadness I've experienced inthe baklava world! Full of nuts, with phyllo puffed high, and tons of high flavored honey! I doubt I'll eat baklava anywhere else, ever again!Easy 5 stars for great food, and great service!"
"What an amazing Gem, very cute place, perfect ambiance, they have great local wines from Turkey, perfect little casual Date night or during the week.We ordered the hummas that came with turkish bread fresh out of the oven, the hummas was amazing. We ordered the Iskendar Kebab (bread gyro smothered with red sauce, very fresh flavors, and served with plain yogurt in the side) super yummy. My absolute favorite was the Moussaka ( egplant was amazing with layers of potatoes and beef served with delicious rice.We ordered the Turkish tea and the kunefe for desert OMG it was so good, I am so coming back for more! Narjes (hope I spelled your name right) Gave us excellent service - Thank you! I will definitely be back, keep up the amazing work!"

We ended up having a late lunch/early dinner here after someone recommended it. There's plenty of parking in this plaza. The interior is okay, nothing fancy. Service was friendly. Pricing was slightly on the higher end.My wife ordered a beef kobida wrap, and I ordered lamb kabobs with kabuli rice. The beef wrap was pretty good. It seemed to be a whole wheat wrap, and enough veggies and sauce to make it flavorful. It did get messy with all the sauce leaking out, though. One comment I have is that the beef kabob kind of seemed skinny compared to the size of the wrap. The lamb with rice and spinach was also pretty tasty. The cooked spinach didn't seem to match the dish, but the kabuli rice was good and the carrots were cooked nicely. The sauce was flavorful. The lamb kabobs were good, though a bit tough.

The chicken kabobs were incredibly juicy and flavorful--I wish I could meal prep kebabs like that every day. Our server treated us to complimentary hummus and baba ghanoush. The hummus was wonderfully smooth and creamy, while the baba ghanoush, though not my favorite, had an interesting flavor. The pita was soft and warm, and the dinner rolls with butter they serve beforehand were phenomenal. The service was excellent, and the front door, big and heavy, adds to the authentic vibe. It's a bit pricey, but what isn't these days? Plus, the quality of service balances out the cost. Seeing spanakopita and avgolemono soup on the menu would have made my day. Let me know if they ever make it to the menu, and I'll be back!

I've been here twice and love their fattoush salad! I always add chicken shawarma for some extra protein. The lady who served me both times is so sweet and welcoming. I'll be back again.

Walked right in and was seated for a party of 1! The ambiance was very nice. Christmas music playing in the background. Quiet enough to hear it. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. Food: I ordered a few items for myself... tried the appetizer with 3 sides- hummus, tzatziki, and babaganoush with pita bread. The only one for me was the hummus. For my entree I ordered the beef swarma plate and upgraded my salad to a Greek salad for $3.95 extra. It came with green beans and rice as well. $17.95. Service was great. The owner, Matbolli ( I think that's how you spell it), came and made his rounds at tables and asked how everyone's experience was going. I told him my meat was a little over cooked and he brought me another order of medium cooked beef! That meat was PERFECT! IN ALL HAD A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE.

We have been coming to Tex's Star Grill for years, this is definitely a favorite restaurant in the area. My personal favorite food here is the chicken fried chicken. Not only is the taste delicious, but the portions are amazing for the money. You will get a chicken fried chicken that is over half of a plate. I love getting the fries as my side to use the spicy house sauce. You also get toast and a side salad. Those working are very nice and they keep the restaurant very clean. You will probably also see the owner here, he is always working.

Because this was my first visit, There were many things that were 5 stars but a few that were 4 star. I chose to sit outside because the weather was so lovely. I noticed there were many smokers that were dining and that was a surprise to me because most people in the world know that it kills people. I sat far enough away so it did not bother my experience but thought I should mention this fact. The manager was very kind to let me taste many different items that were healthy and I will be back. I had the tabouli, the turkey salsa. salmon kebab, the Greek salad, and the chicken eggplant. I had three bites of the piping hot slightly salted bread they automatically bring and had one pita "chip". I also tried their famous (yummy) jasmine rice. Please remember that this is authentic food from Istanbul and not modernised.*Server Jude was a gem. She was kind and Full of wonderful knowledge about real Istanbul food and culture. *The still table water and Pinot Grigio was cold, in a decent wine glass and lovely.* I loved the tabouli but be aware that there is not much grains in it and they have lots of little onions. The Greek salad is light and wonderful but does not have any Kalamata olives. I liked it but it did need some toasted seeds on it for a little crunch. The bread they brought out tasted good but a little heavy for me. The pita chips are not crispy at all, which I was surprised, but not a bad thing. I am sure this is the way they have it so I am not complaining.*The chicken eggplant dish came out hot and had a great consistency but the tomato sauce is a little bland. Add some salt and pepper and you will be fine. Again, remember this is not an Italian dish. I loved trying it and having this unique experience, since I've never been to Istanbul.*it was unique having them play real Turkish music while you dine. *If you order the salmon kebabs, make sure you tell them to swap the standard mayonnaise sauce for their tzatziki. Even though that tzatziki is a full fat item, having a little of that with the salmon is necessary because otherwise it will be too bland. I loved how they accompanied the dish with grilled green peppers on a bed of Romaine lettuce.*I am the author of the book on Amazon called "Copy Ditto" and I have a chapter discussing the fact that people need to eat like the Mediterraneans for optimal health. I highly recommend that you frequently dine at Istanbul cuisine inSouthlake.

Excellent food, this quaint little restaurant is a hidden gem. We went on a Sunday for the lunch buffet. The food was delicious and fresh the service was exceptional. The flavors from this freshly prepared food was fantastic. Don't sleep on Al Wadi Cafe

"Decided to check this j place out for dinner before some relaxing at turning Point brewery down the road.. Can you ever go wrong with authentic Lebanese Mediterranean food?? I love this family owned BYOB café we had the baby ganache and the Awadi dip They were both very tasty and generous size portions prices here are very reasonable many options to choose from even some cool non alcoholic drinks.I had a Gyro sandwich my husband had a lamb shank came with salad and rice I was so stuffed I couldn't even finish my entire sandwich or the appetizer. The waiter said they had been there 12 years - my bad for never checking them out before! Don't be like me and wait that long!!"
"This might be one of DFW's best kept secrets. It's tucked away in a small shopping plaza off of Hall-Johnson/121 with plenty of parking available and very reasonable prices.Walk in and look at the expansive menu, which is essentially broken down into different variations of plates, kabobs, platters, and sandwiches. Order up and sit at one of the available tables/booths. What we got: Gyro sandwich contains plenty of nicely flavored gyro meat, veggies, and a warm, soft pita. We've tried the kofta kabobs, chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, and you just can't go wrongThe guys running this place (or at least always at the counter/preparing the food) are always super nice and patient. Shout out to them for always maintaining a positive attitude, whether its during a chaotic day or a slow day.Note: This place can get busy, so you may not have any luck calling in your orders and/or you may have to wait a little bit, but it's worth it!"
"Greek House is an incredible, family run restaurant, located next to Enchiladas Olé. Full disclosure: It's a bit quirky on the inside. The layout is like a Chipotle or Cava, with tables up front, and a line along the side wall that leads you to the order counter at the back. But, between the '80s era decor 7 wall-to-wall carpeting, it feels like a table service restaurant. So, it's a bit confusing when you walk in, b/c it's not the kind of place where you'd expect to order at the counter. That said, while the interior is in need of an update & table service, the food more than makes up for it! Their gyros are absolutely phenomenal, as is their hummus platter. And, the owner (Azam Sawdagar) & her son (Sonny) are great people. Throw a compliment Mrs. Sawdagar's way and she'll turn into your grandmother & wait on you hand & foot to make sure you have the best experience. No joke, after just one visit, she knew all of my kids' names. And, I have a LOT of kids!"
"This place is fantastic. They went over the top for us when we dined in earlier this month. We each ordered and entree and drink. And was given hummus/pita and fries complimentary!!! I don't know if it was because we shared it was it our first time there or if it was because we were dining in or just because it was later on the evening. Either way, without that... the portion sizes were plenty!! The food was delish and the guys were friendly and on top of it. I went to ask for to go containers and they were already walking out with them for us! We will definitely return!"
"Was out of town on a work trip and was craving a gyro. So went to Yelp and Stop-N-Go popped up.It's a 8 out of 10 all around . Nice and polite employees but good luck on parking. It's worth the value to cost"
"Generous portions.Decent prices. Clean location. Fries were a little dry though they were seasoned well. Next time I'll ask to cook my falafel longer so inside isn't mushy."
"Man, oh, man. Feta's always delivers great food. It is so very good and you can tell they do not cut corners on the quality of ingredients. Everything is fresh and homemade! My hubby and I split the gyro, french fries and some dolmas. God, I love tzatziki! They make it the right way. The fries stay crispy. They make the dolmas too! Chewy grape leaves filled with lemony rice and spices.Well? What are you waiting for? Go there. Get some. Life is too short for boring food!"
"Fantastic! Everything was really fresh & flavorful. The restaurant is clean with a cute Mediterranean motif. The staff is friendly. I have zero complaints. I ordered the Greek Lemon Chicken Soup + Mediterranean Salad. The soup is chock full of herbs and lemony zest, tender shredded chicken, and basmati rice. It normally comes with pita bread but I'm GF so I passed on that. The salad was fresh and included garbanzo beans, candied pecans, and feta cheese. (There are 3 salad options and I can definitely recommend the Mediterranean.)My hubby had the beef gyro + potato chips. The gyro was loaded up with juicy, tender, perfectly seasoned beef, and the chips were fresh and delicious. For drinks, you can choose from fountain sodas, sweet or unsweet tea, bottled Topo Chico and Pellegrino including plain or orange flavored in the can. They also have desserts like baklava, cheesecake, and cookies. A really great menu! We'll definitely be back."
"It was decent, I thought that the Greek fries were generously topped and the gyros were on par. I prefer this to Wayback Burger, which is the lunch spot inside the gas station."
"I loved this place! Love the concept, the service and food! In particularly the food, fresh, amazingly tasty, large portions, great experience! The restaurant is casual with semi-self-serving; you select your choice of meal at the entrance, salad, sandwich or platter. The platter comes with choice of 1 meat and up to 4 sides. Their prices are affordable, $10.99 to $18.99.As you enter, you encounter the menu printed in large, colorful print on the wall; the flow of the restaurant is circular counter with the fresh pita bread being the second encounter here. At this point, I am 100% hooked! If you look towards the back of the fresh pita offerings. you can see the oven where these magnificent breads are being baked! Oh my! What a perk! All platters, come with 2 pita breads! As you proceed down the counter, you can see the appetizer section, followed by the side choices, and finally the meat selection choices. Almost at the payment section at the end, there are some desserts and freshly baked offerings. The whole place was like a candy store but with delicious Mediterranee food! Amazing! You give your meal selections to the server, who will place the side dishes together on your plate, while the meat is served separately. This particular evening, I chose 1 meat platter with 4 sides! What can I say... I wanted to try it all in one sitting! My platter consisted of hummus, falafel salad, crisp cauliflower, rice, and chicken. I loved it! The portion for me was enough for 2 meals. I had leftovers for the next day! Loved Andalous Mediterranean Grill!"
