""Aesthetic and Hand-designed," A&H is a small local donut shop with the nicest staff and the meanest (aka cutest) donuts! We visited a little after 10 AM on the weekend and there were less than 10 donuts left, so go early! The owners are super creative and come up with all sorts of designs (unicorn, avocado, flamingo, mermaids, an adorable Cookie Monster, *insert latest IG trend here*). They also do letter donuts so you can spell out messages to your friends.... And eat them! Om nom nom~The donuts weren't JUST donuts-- they were the lightest pillows of delicious sweetness, and they were seriously hard to stop eating after one bite. They weren't oily or heavy at all. Different than your usual donut so worth giving it a try!"

"It's all about the b-holes, people! I've been to this wee shop numerous times to stuff my face with these heavenly morsels in order to please not only my insatiable stomach but also my soul. I love the classic NOLA beignets because they're simple ingredients made with quality attention, beautifully made dough, served right out of the fryer after being perfectly browned. It's a small, local, family business with only a few tables. There is no restroom, but they have a deal with the pie store next door, so you can use their restroom. The only thing that needed more attention is the tables have been a little dirty. Yes, these beignets can be messy, so the tables need a more constant wipe down. I am a PB&J lover, so I had no problem devouring their option smothered in it. The jelly and peanut butter were extra smooth and creamy. They, also, have snow cones, coffee and monthly specials, so you gotta come every month to see what's different! Your sweet tooth will thank you. The owner's kids help out sometimes which is sweet, but they're still learning the ways of the customer service business, so be patient, and support local businesses!"

"Friendly service, good product. What can I say? Shipley Do Nuts is a good pick me up of sugar deliciousness in the morning on Highway 377 in Watuaga. The family affectionately calls Highway 377 the "Shipley Highway" based on making the left turn off of Mid Cities Blvd to 377 and seeing Shipley as one of the first businesses that beg for you to make an impulse buy. Though the hours are limited (5:30-12:30 PM daily), Shipley has good choices on its menu that rivals its competitor down the street with the hot doughnut sign. Although the doughnuts are somewhat on the small side, the prices are quite reasonable. 6 assorted doughnuts for $3 and change? Can I get a yummy yum yum for my tummy tum tum?If you are lucky, you can walk across the street to the Beer Barn during business hours. What's not to love: beer and doughnuts. Just be sure to schedule a good amount of time in the gym later in the due (carb overload). Shipley, you are so, sooooo good!"

"I finally made it before they sold out! They have been selling out quickly, so I advise coming early ("early-ish") to grab some goodies.This morning, I "test drove" the key lime/coconut, chocolate with sprinkles, cookie dough (topped with Biscoff cookie), and blueberry cake with lemon glaze donuts, as well as a jalepeno sausage kolache made with vegan "sausage," of course.They were all delish. I ate 1/2 of each and shared the other 1/2 so I would not go into sugar overload. The donuts were actually not overly sweet as most are. My favorite was the chocolate sprinkles donut, but they were all good. The sausauge kolache was even yummy - I just which it was larger, because it was so yummy :-)It's a donut, so it's impossible to tell that they are vegan - you'll only taste deliciousness.Staff was very nice and answered all my questions. I am a nosy Yelper! Ha! I didn't try the ice cream this time. The very nice employees let me know that it's the same ice cream at thier "mother store," Spiral Diner, ---- so you know it's excellent ice cream. You can get a punch card. After 5 visits, you get one free donut. Free street parking is available, but you may have to park and walk a few blocks since free parking is tight in this area."

"It's a Sunday, during covid. We went somewhere close to our house first, they wouldn't allow us to sit inside and with it being 20 degrees with a baby that was a must. 2nd place we went to wasn't open, I'm assuming because it was sunday. We then got to Wonder donuts. They were open and we could safely sit inside. Coffee and donuts were great, and they gave us some free donut holes. We'll come back!"

"I have to say these are amazing donuts!! Unfortunately I arrived kind of late in the morning, so there wasn't much left to choose from and they weren't making any more at that point, so I only got to try the twists. They were absolutely delicious though - nice and fresh with the perfect glaze that melted in my mouth the second I bit into it. My only complaint is that the building itself is kind of difficult to figure out. There is a drive through, but it dead ends into a curb, so that was strange, and the main entrance is not where you would think it should be. It's on the side that faces the interior of the parking lot and is a little ways down from the corner of the building. I eventually figured out how to get in the building but felt rather stupid as the employees inside watched me trying to figure it out. Oh well. Next time I'll know...and will get there before 10:30 in the morning so they have a better assortment of donuts to choose from. The young man who helped me was very friendly but the other person that was there seemed grumpy and a little annoyed. Otherwise I would've given 5 stars. Will try again - maybe they were just having a tough day? Idk, but it's worth another shot because the donuts truly were sooo good!"

Their assortment of traditional donuts and long-johns is fantastic, and they've also got some new twists on some old favorites. But on the occassion that I do, and I find myself craving something sweet, I stop by Lim's Donuts.Their donuts aren't too cakey or heavy but they're also not the melt on contact type either. I like the texture and they have a pretty large selection of toppings. I've heard good things about their cake donuts too, if that's your sort of thing. Those are a bit heavy for me. If you get there early enough request a freshly made donut and not one sitting in the case. The breakfast burritos and sausage rolls are good too. I like the croissant roll and the breakfast burrito with potato. The bear claw is a monstrous delight, it's the perfect texture with plenty of apple bits.They open at 4 a.m. and seem to have a steady stream of customers all morning. As far as donut places go, this one is pretty good! If only they served donuts in the afternoon..."
