We had a mad craving for some after church so we made a detour to Ole Donuts off Lake Worth Boulevard on our way to run errands and picked up some goodies.Ole Donuts seems to be owned by a Korean family and I got to talking to the mother. It reminded me of when I first moved to Canada and was living with my relatives in Winnipeg where many of the Korean families ran or owned donut shops, gas stations and convenience stores.David and I have seen loooots of donut shops while driving around but this was our first time trying one in our area and we were so impressed! The donuts are so pillowy soft that it's like biting into a cloud! And the kolachis are the best we have tried yet (no picture because we are them too fast!)Thank you so much to the wonderful mom & daughter who served us today and for the extra donuts they added to our order to welcome us to the neighborhood."

"My boyfriend raves about this place all the time so when I finally moved to FW he took me to get donuts; he's a pretty early riser which takes some getting use to when you're a chronic insomniac but offering to get me donuts/breakfast is a pretty good place to start when you're trying to bribe me out of bed.Archie's is a small donut shop with one counter and a lot of people! My boyfriend picked out a few donuts and off we went. I happened to grow very very fond of the donut holes. They're sweet but not sickening sweet and the glaze is perfection. It's not at all like Krispy Kreme's glaze or donuts, these are donuts I could mindlessly eat a whole bag of and not feel sick afterwards. "It's all about the b-holes, people! I've been to this wee shop numerous times to stuff my face with these heavenly morsels in order to please not only my insatiable stomach but also my soul. I love the classic NOLA beignets because they're simple ingredients made with quality attention, beautifully made dough, served right out of the fryer after being perfectly browned. It's a small, local, family business with only a few tables. There is no restroom, but they have a deal with the pie store next door, so you can use their restroom. The only thing that needed more attention is the tables have been a little dirty. Yes, these beignets can be messy, so the tables need a more constant wipe down. I am a PB&J lover, so I had no problem devouring their option smothered in it. The jelly and peanut butter were extra smooth and creamy. They, also, have snow cones, coffee and monthly specials, so you gotta come every month to see what's different! Your sweet tooth will thank you. The owner's kids help out sometimes which is sweet, but they're still learning the ways of the customer service business, so be patient, and support local businesses!"

"Let me tell you--I have been searching for my donut place in DFW, and today, I finally found it!First, the owner and his family are absolutely wonderful and so kind. I was instantly greeted even though I had come in after what I'm sure had been a busy morning. The store was sparkling clean with nice seating. Everything looked delicious, and I ended up getting a sausage and cheese kolache, a small jalapeño kolache, a glazed donut, and an iced latte.As I was waiting for my iced latte, the owner motioned toward the free samples by the register. There were free cream filled donut holes and little cups of black tea. I tried the black tea, and it was sooooo good. After asking the owner what had more caffeine (I was planning to study after), I ended up getting the iced latte. We chatted a bit and I learned that the store is celebrating its first year of business this month.Everything I had was SO. GOOD. They use Hawaiian rolls for their kolaches, which I've never seen before (and I'm a native Texan!). The glazed donut was so fresh and totally satisfied my craving. And the iced latte was one of the best iced lattes I've ever had in my life.Needless to say, I will be back!!! Thank you so much, Manna!"

The bakery's store space is very narrow, and there are only a few places for customers to sit, so I definitely recommend grabbing some kolaches and heading somewhere else to consume them. It is probably just like most donut/kolache bakeries in town, so it is about average in that regard. The sticky buns they had on the wall looked really good, but I stuck with fruit and sausage kolaches on my visit. Since I recommended to take the kolaches home with you instead of consuming on the spot, I must also recommend that you prevent the server behind the counter from microwaving the kolache while you are there. I think it is much better if you take the kolache home and either microwave it yourself or stick it in the oven for few minutes to warm.All this is to say that this is a nice little donut shop that is very convenient if you likve in the south Fort Wort around McCart Ave."

"Love love this place, I've recently just discovered this place because we were looking for donuts and stumbled upon this shop. I love walking in and being welcomed by the sweet staff, and the selection was very large for us coming so close to closing we were afraid they'd be out but that wasn't the case. I loved their donut holes, they had a crisp glaze with a pillowy soft center, it almost just melted in your mouth. But ultimately, I'd wager that most of the patrons of Dales Donuts No. 9 (there's a Beatles joke in there somewhere) might well be on the make for that sort of regulating experience you want from your breakfast pastries on a weekend, namely, be what I expect you to be. Be quick. Don't get too creative. And on that front, I'd say they've largely succeeded. If you were wondering whether or not they were conjuring unique gastronomic delights at Dales No 9, all you might really need to ask is what they were doing at the first 8. My guess is something similar to my haul this day: an apple fritter, a blueberry cake donut, some OJ and a milk. There is, essentially, one person behind the counter whose job it is to keep things moving along -- she's almost a barker -- and the other employee tallies and rings. It doesn't make for a particularly warm breakfast experience, but from what I saw, no one seemed to consider the possibility of anything other than the turnkey breakfast they got. And to be sure, it was fine and I left with donut in my belly. But then again, there's always something a little delightful about expecting, well, more."

"The sign touting Bubble (Boba) Tea is what drew me to try Manna Donut shop. Normally I would get my boba fix over on Belknap, but that's usually when I'm already in the area for pho. Sometimes I just want the tea without the commitment of a ten minute drive. It was a dangerous realization when I saw the Boba Tea sign a few blocks from my house.Now their boba selection isn't large, but the iced milk coffee with boba was delicious. It was also the daily special, so we received a good product for a fraction of the price! The service was also very friendly. While making small talk, we mentioned that this was our first visit to Manna. The girl quickly selected two donuts and placed them in a bag for us to try, free of charge.It's the little things like this that brighten a day and definitely turn new customers into regulars."
