"Babe's Chicken Dinner House is always good!!! My family and I have been visiting Babe's together for over 15 years and it has long been a favorite gathering spot for holidays or special occasions. The food is great, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is unique - creating a memorable dining experience. At the Arlington location, the interior is decorated as if you are in the midst of a small southern town. The facades of businesses line the walls and fake chickens are placed on any available surfaces. The lighting is dim with cozy string lights and neon signs illuminating the corners of the restaurant. The food is all served family style with large entrees and bottomless sides & appetizers. For $20 you can choose between smoked chicken, fried chicken, fried catfish, chicken tenders, or chicken fried steak (I'm not ashamed to say I've tried them all over the years). Each entree is served on a large platter and is definitely enough for more than one meal! The appetizers include an iceberg lettuce salad with a simple vinaigrette and biscuits. It may be the nostalgia talking, but I believe their biscuits are the best in the world. After getting full on salad and biscuits alone, your meal arrives with family style green beans, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and gravy. The sides are delicious and you can ask for more of whatever you like! Their fried chicken is crunchy and juicy - and tastes amazing smothered in gravy. After you've eaten so much your top button on your pants bursts, you can take home the leftovers in plastic bags lined along the walls and pay up front on your way out. The servers used to dance the hokey pokey every hour - but I fear they've stopped doing that (at least at our most recent visit they didn't). In all, Babe's is an amazing value and a memorable family-friendly dining experience! I can't recommend it enough."

"I don't usually eat breakfast but I love breakfast food. So when my friend suggested this spot for dinner, I was thinking we should save this for a special occasion weekend brunch kind of day instead. Little did I know, they serve breakfast all day! The inside was cozy and dineresque with a nature theme. The dining area was pretty large and spacious. The menus are printed on what looks like a newspaper and they include calories count for everything. They even have smaller portions for some of their dishes which is great if you're not too hungry or if the calorie count shocked you like it did me. Pierceson was our server and he was a super cool guy. He gave us some suggestions and was patient with our questions. Even though I was excited for breakfast, I wanted to try the dinner offerings too. In the end I opted for my beloved Benny. This one was the California Bacon eggs benedict which came with the standard English muffin and poached egg along with thick cut bacon, avocado, spinach, and grilled tomatoes. Now, the Hollandaise sauce was a let down as it was broken. The dish was still tasty but visually not appealing. The country red potatoes were delicious. My friend enjoyed her chicken fried steak meal. Overall, great addition to the area for breakfast any time of the day!"

My food was acceptable, but it did not excite me. Although the steak was good enough, the dish was not memorable at all. I thoroughly enjoyed that mimosa, which was quite good!It was truly a highlight to connect with fellow Yelpers and it always provides a genuinely great time. I got the coffee which was really good and the egg breakfast that came w the biscuit. The biscuit was huge! The bacon was thick applewood smoked (guessing?) and had a great flavor. The breakfast potatoes were very good and honestly overall a great breakfast.My husband wanted to try the pancakes and they were also very good. But now, whenever I visit from Austin, I've made it a point to pick up food from this Spiral location in Ft. on my way back home from DFW. It never disappoints! My favorite sandwich of all time is the Mitch club, and my omnivore husband enjoys it too. My husband and I always enjoy their potato salad as a side - their recipe is out of this world! It's heavy on the dill & mustard, and tastes heavenly. It's very easy for us to find parking when ordering to go, and eating in as well. Love this Ft. Worth location."
