Regina C. "I'm giving high marks to Maxine's because it's hard to find a good dive bar around town these days and this place is a good one. I didn't review after my first visit about a year ago because I was there with some friends that were obviously VIPs there from the service and attention we attracted upon our arrival. This time I was with other, less popular friends. We still got great service, the beer was cold and the bartender friendly and funny. Old School jukebox and shots, what more could you need?"

I can't say enough about this place, I've been here many times and each time it's perfect. The ambiance is comforting, upscale, but not stuffy or overly formal. From the staff, level of service to the quality of the food you feel special. This was my first Tomahawk steak and it was probably the best steak I've had in my life thus far. Amy D. "Lot 12 is perfect for football game days. You can't beat the space with the rooftop views and they have live music. During the TCU football season, expect it to be packed inside and outside. If you're wanting to watch a game, note that there are only two tvs outside and one is slightly blacked out due to the amount of sun rays. There are many lounge areas to choose from to chat with friends.During the summer months, they serve coconut mojitos that are delicious. I highly recommend those! If you're staying at the hotel or just want a rooftop bar outside of football season, expect Lot 12 to have a much more chill vibe with fewer people. I am a little surprised that more people don't come here because when the weather is nice, you cannot beat the outside area.Lot 12 does have a good looking light bites menu, but they can be low on ingredients some times. For example, my wedge salad arrived as a spinach salad and they did not warn me in advance. Check with your waiter that they have all the ingredients ;) I did really like the chipotle chicken quesadilla.Overall, Lot 12 is an excellent bar choice for rooftop views, outdoor seating, good drinks and light bites."

They should teach a class on how to put those up. It was dim and cozy and the drinks were great... lots of seasonal options and whiskey flights. Multiple seating options too... from barstools to leather chairs and sofas. We went on a Monday so food options were limited, but we had some dips and a charcuterie board. Every bite was beautifully plated and our entrees carried some good flavor components. The downside came with our chocolate lava cake which was served cold. Instead of a warm decadent gooey-ness, we got a crumbly dry slab of cake that stuck to the roof of the mouth.Sadly another miss was when one of our water glasses had a lipstick stains on the rim. When we asked for a clean glass, the replacement also had noticeable blemishes.Overall, the venue is gorgeous but the service and execution of their menu could improve."

Joey R. "From the moment we stepped into Blackland Distillery, it was clear that this wasn't your average spirit-slinging spot. Our guide, Brian, greeted us with a smile so bright it could've powered the distillery itself. He wasn't just a guide; he was a walking encyclopedia of everything ethanol, with a splash of stand-up comedian.Brian led us through the magical land of mashes and barrels, telling tales of grains and gins so enthralling, I half-expected to see a whiskey fairy pop out of a barrel. The samples flowed like a river of liquid gold, and each drink was a masterpiece. I mean, the cocktails were so good, I started feeling poetic. Or maybe that was just the vodka talking. The highlight? A tasty concoction of frozen orange juice ice cubes, the dream sickle ." It was like tasting the soul of an orange --bold, beautiful, and a tad rebellious. By the end of the tour, not only were we tipsy with delight, but we were also considering enrolling in Brian's unofficial school of booze wizardry. If you're looking for a sign to visit Blackland Distillery, this is it. Mesero reminded me of eating at Gloria's when it came to the atmosphere. The restaurant was extremely nice inside. I really liked the openness and clean feel. The food was the underwhelming part. I was expecting delicious and authentic Mexican food and this was not it. We ordered carnitas tacos, fish tacos and a side of fries for our child. The best tasting thing were the French fries. The tacos were dry and bland. I felt like I had to drench my tacos in sauce to make them taste good. I don't like talking about any establishment but the food missed the mark for me."

Tried the Strawberry Fields Matcha Latte, and will admit that I should have gone with a classic matcha latte, I wasn't a fan of the sweetness of the strawberry fields. It was VERY strawberry forward, and that can work for some people, but I would have loved if the drink was a balance between the strawberry AND matcha. Trinh T. "La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly Dallas is a genuine Italian restaurant located inside Eataly at NorthPark Center. The menu is full of Italy's most popular dishes and are all delicious. The one flaw is that it's expensive. I mean really expensive. If you want a legitimate Italian meal in a mall, this is your place. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return)Atmosphere - La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly Dallas is located in the heart of Eataly Dallas. Surrounded by a well-stocked Italian market, it's has a unique mix of curious shoppers and patrons who want to experience fine Italian cuisine. If on a weekend, it's very busy. Buzzing with people and great energy, you know this is as very popular spot. Be sure you make reservations! 1 Star.Service - The service didn't quite match the quality of the cuisine. Our server really didn't seem to be into serving us. She wasn't bad, she just didn't seem interested. The restaurant was very busy on my Saturday night visit so this may have contributed to the indifference. 1/2 Star. Food - I'm a fan of Neapolitan pizza, and so I ordered the Margherita "A RUOTA DI CARRO". The hearty dough was thin in the middle, allowing the San Marzano sauce and mozzarella and their flavors to shine. You'll want to use a fold method as the middle is thin. I paired this with the Fettucine al Burro. Wow. They will prepare this dish at your table. The fettuccine is mixed and stirred directly in a parmesan wheel. It's super rich and a perfect compliment to my pizza. I ended my meal with the Tiramisu. Nothing to add except that it was delicious. The only flaw in my meal was the bill. Expect to pay $50 per person for your meal. 1 1/2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. While La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly Dallas is really good, it's also really expensive. Even so, I like how I can eat a delicious Italian meal inside of a mall. Yes, I'll be back. 1 Star."

The bloody mary bar had approximately 30 toppings and the mimosa bar had 3 or 4 juices to choose from. But all that aside, what set us up for an amazing experience was the staff! Ashley, one of the managers was professional, kind and helpful. Every person working at the buffet, serving and the hostess were exemplary. We had a perfect experience from start to finish, I don't think I've ever been to a brunch with so much variety and so much amazing food. The ham was carved while you waited and outstanding and they even have a kid's buffet!!! It was all-around the perfect experience. My only request? Add some bagels or plain toast.
