"Babe's Chicken Dinner House is always good!!! My family and I have been visiting Babe's together for over 15 years and it has long been a favorite gathering spot for holidays or special occasions. The food is great, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is unique - creating a memorable dining experience. At the Arlington location, the interior is decorated as if you are in the midst of a small southern town. The facades of businesses line the walls and fake chickens are placed on any available surfaces. The lighting is dim with cozy string lights and neon signs illuminating the corners of the restaurant. The food is all served family style with large entrees and bottomless sides & appetizers. For $20 you can choose between smoked chicken, fried chicken, fried catfish, chicken tenders, or chicken fried steak (I'm not ashamed to say I've tried them all over the years). Each entree is served on a large platter and is definitely enough for more than one meal! The appetizers include an iceberg lettuce salad with a simple vinaigrette and biscuits. It may be the nostalgia talking, but I believe their biscuits are the best in the world. After getting full on salad and biscuits alone, your meal arrives with family style green beans, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and gravy. The sides are delicious and you can ask for more of whatever you like! Their fried chicken is crunchy and juicy - and tastes amazing smothered in gravy. After you've eaten so much your top button on your pants bursts, you can take home the leftovers in plastic bags lined along the walls and pay up front on your way out. The servers used to dance the hokey pokey every hour - but I fear they've stopped doing that (at least at our most recent visit they didn't). In all, Babe's is an amazing value and a memorable family-friendly dining experience! I can't recommend it enough."
"My last visit to Babe's was to transport their amazing Fried Chicken Dinner to my mom in Wimberley. She loves their chicken so I ordered a few dinners and picked them up. They are efficient and quick to get your order out to you.Anyways, if you transport the chicken open the box to let it cool faster and so the crust on the chicken doesn't sweat.I have a cooler ready to pack everything in once it cools off. The dinners arrived about 4 hours later and Mom is so funny, she ate the chicken cold for 2 days and know the sides warmed up really well. When your mama craves Babe's, you make it happen!"

"the food and service is wonderful! the chicken, eggs, and greens were exceptionally seasoned!"
"It's been sittin' here for a while without us getting around to trying it, but finally did today and it's good reviews are deserved. The chicken is a tiny bit spicy, just a pinch, and is big and tender. The crust is good, not too much and not too little. I got the Love Me Tender, and despite bein' a growin' boy, I actually couldn't finish it, so the portions are very nice. The potato salad was really good, but being a side-lover, I personally could have gone with a tad less chicken in favor of a bit more side, but it's fine. The biscuits are large enough to turn out as actual sandwich "buns", so they are very big and nice quality. Service and atmosphere is great (had enough country music to do me for a year or two). Anyway, recommended!"
"Food: Dining Room: Today it's 58 degrees outside and feels like 48 up in this bitch!"
"Small place but lots of seating and great service ! Food came out right away. I came here to try my favorite dish the oxtail. It was pricey as most places but I was willing to try them out. Was a little disappointed at the sizes of the meat on them. I got about 5 small bones. Which is not bad if the price wasn't so high. They were cooked very well and tender but It had a weird nutmeg I believe taste that threw me off. I had a side of coleslaw to try and It was ok ."
"This sandwich is drop dead fire! I mean you can control the heat on it with the different heat options, but whichever option is your flavor of choice rest assured you will be pleased. Simple stuff done right on this sandwich, not too much oil in the breading, bun was stable and not soggy which is so important to enjoy a good chicken sandwich, and lets not rule out the presentation which my photos don't do justice. They do go above and beyond here and you can tell the staff loves the product, as well. They keep the environment around here fun, casual, clean, and well organized. Perfectly done roosty toasty chicken sandwich!"
"Recently visited breakfast brothers on a team outing and glad my boss lady picked this place! Let me tell you, good fried catfish in the DFW is hard to come buy. This place has it down to a science. The seasonings and the crunch were great! I order the catfish and waffles. While the waffle wasn't my favorite, I was ready to go back the next day for the catfish The space is small and I hope one day the owners will be able to expand. Because of this and their popularity you may find that you have a wait time but the staff manage it well. I will definitely return to try more items. Everyone in our party or 8 enjoyed their food. No complaints! They service breakfast/lunch/dinner menu all day."
"Babe's is a favorite stop when the family is all together. The easy menu choices (which you can't go wrong with any of the options, though we are a fried chicken and chicken tender family), shared sides and nice space to visit and enjoy spending time together. Their service is always great, but Sierra was TOP NOTCH and we hope to see her again before she is off to school in the fall."
"I finally got to try Bad Chicken after being so encapsulated by the name! And let just say, there is NOTHING bad about this chicken. The wings are smoked and then fried and you can definitely taste it! We had the buffalo lemon pepper in medium and Cajun dry rub and they were fantastic! The loaded curly fries are a for sure a must have. As for the vibes, they are a 10/10! They have a game console set up for you to play games with your friends and family as well as a pretty large patio area with games. Did I also mention they serve alcohol? We had their Original marg and a hennyrita! The food was amazing, the service was good, and the vibes were there! We are for sure definitely returning soon"
"I love this place. They are never out of items , everything is always fresh and cooked perfectly. I was get the gizzards here. I always get more than I ordered, the batter is never too greasy and always seasoned well. The Cole slaws tasted fresh and was not watery. The mash potatoes were very creamy and smooth. Their lemonade is also very good. Their regular fried chicken is made with that same crunchy light batter, always juicy and never dry!"

I wanted to find a good place for lunch and this was close. I read the reviews and the website, and for 20 bucks, you sure do get stuffed! First they brought out a salad with sweet vinaigrette. I'm not too much a vinaigrette person, but this was delicious! I ate the whole salad and the biscuit they brought as well. They had honey on the table so I put some honey on the biscuit and it was perfect. Light and fluffy and not crusty and hard. I ordered the chicken tenders and then they brought what must have been 10 chicken tenders along with big bowls filled with mashed potatoes, green beans and corn. Everything was top notch and delicious! I would definitely be back, if I didn't live in Houston. This is a great one, though!

It's not for me, but it's good fried chicken.I don't love the sit down, family style with the same 3 sides.Don't get me wrong, the chicken is delicious and this place is probably great for families! For just my wife and I, it was a bit much. The bad: really no drink selection (no diet Dr pepper, no diet coke, just diet RC).How you gonna call about 19 cents worth of romaine lettuce a "salad" cmon bruh. The corn was very very sweet, beware. The Good:the biscuits and the fried chicken are excellent! The price is decent. The concept is unique for sure and fun as a one time thing if you don't have many mouths to feed.

The good news is that they are always busy, so the chicken tastes fresh because it just came out of the fryer. The staff is always friendly and patient as there is always someone who has never been ordering and taking too much time :-). The Sin Killer Peri Peri is moist and has a nice kick, too! It comes with a side, I love the collard greens...and a biscuit.

I love biscuits and Whistle Britches makes some good biscuits just another reason to visit Southlake Towne Center area to shop and enjoy some good eats while at it. Located right off main with a parking lot right across from it, one of the easier parking options in the Center. Service was friendly and informative Lunch, Brunch is 1 page. We started with the pickled jalapeno Cornbread delicious. For our meal we had their namesake Whistle Britches Sandwich and Sir Mix a Lot plate which consisted of Fried Chicken,Cole Slaw Biscuits, Honey and Kettle Chips all served within a reasonable time frame. We'll be back in the area soon enough and this will be one of our options going forward.Fried Chicken was very good and plenty we brought home enough for a good lunch tomorrow.

This place looks so neat! I really wanted to like it but I was disappointed. The chicken looked seasoned but had no flavor. It was just the slightest taste of paprika. I don't know if it was an off day or what but there's better hot chicken elsewhere. At least the fries were good.

Best Jamaican food in DFW! The food is always hot & delicious. The workers(sky, Adriana & James) are always kind, friendly & keep a smile on their face. . The vibe of the restaurant is homely, such a hidden gem!

Rule the Roost was really good. We had the chickie bites in the Nashville hot flavor, Cole slaw and fries. The flavor of the chicken was really good. It is more season without the oil you normally find when ordering hot chicken. I personally like both, but it was just as good without it. The service was great. The cashier answered all of our questions as first timers and was really friendly. The food came out hot and fresh. Restaurant and restrooms were very clean.

Went to BBs for breakfast. I must say, for $50+ for 2 entrees, both pancakes, 1 with chicken and the other with bacon was good but too pricey. The service was great. The restaurant was very intimately sized (fancy for small) with a cool theme making it stir conversation and reactions. Overall, great food, great vibe, but pricey. I'll come back when my bonus check hit!

"First of all, the food here is amazing. Hand down some of the best fried chicken and catfish I've had in the DFW area! The pieces are really well fried, flavorful, and juicy. The Mac and cheese was appropriately cheesy and was well seasoned, and the okra was also good (although I wish it could've been a bit better). The portions are big enough to split with another person or save some for a second meal. Don't be fooled, the food is so good but it is rich and heavy! The place itself is super tiny and most people took their food to go. There is a wait to get the food so order in advance. This is not a sit down restaurant or a place to bring a large group. For this purpose, I really wouldn't recommend it for lunch for a group. But if bringing back to place of work, then it's ok. As far as value, I thought it was a bit on the high side, I think I paid around $25 (I tipped although I took away) for lunch. Next time, I would rather order a la carte and share with a group of people."
"The tenders were really good! I got mild and they were exactly mild lol next time I will try a step up. I was expecting different fries based on the pictures I seen here but they were regular which was a bummer for me. I wasn't a fan of the sauce they gave with the tenders but that's just a personal preference as I don't like pickles on my chicken & the sauce had a creamy pickle-y taste. The tenders were perfectly crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside which I loveeedddd!"
"My friend took me here for lunch today and what a great place! The chicken is some of the best Korean chicken I have ever had - every bite is filled with crunch and flavor. The kimchi is a perfect level of sour and the kimchi fries were so good, I almost ate the whole thing.Definitely will be returning!!"
"We were absolutely not sure what we were getting into, though I am very familiar with Indo-Chinese cuisine. And to tell the truth, very few people can replicate that right amount of spices and spiciness to ensure it is eatable and tasty. Finally found a place that does amazing!!!We got 1. Manchow soup (really tasty!! Absolutely recommended), 2. Lemon Coriander soup (was expecting a fairly mild one, but this is the spiciest one of them all! Beware and know what you are getting into, though I found it very tasty my wife could not eat it haha), 3. Hakka Noodles (Recommended), and 4. Schezwan Fried Rice (very highly recommended)Overall the food was fantastic, we came in on a sunday afternoon and there was no one but we got fabulous service and we had enough left over for two more meals !! Coming back for more for sure!Oh btw they had a ramadan menu and their phones were ringing off the hook and they were turning people away because of reservations and space. That tells you how good the place is!"
"Love this place! Called in our order and walked in about 20 minutes later and picked it up. Orange chicken is so delicious and this spot does not disappoint! They also are available for delivery. The owners are extremely friendly and efficient. During this quarantine wok n roll has become a go to place when I don't feel like cooking. They have a very large menu with reasonable prices."
"Today was my third visit. I was hesitant to return as my prior visit sandwiches had chicken smaller than the already small bun, and the spice level didn't add up to its name. I have been seeking a true "Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich Experience." I expressed my concern, "Hey all the pictures on the menu show a large chicken breast sticking out both sides of the sandwich, but my prior orders didn't come close." I was assured that doesn't happen anymore. I ordered 2 Nashville daddys, a spicy daddy sandwiches and mild chicken tenders. All three sandwiches had chicken beyond the bun. The Nashville Daddy, even with the Extra Hot sauce level, still isn't authentic Nashville hot chicken. The sauce on the bun is hot enough to induce a scalp sweat, but the chicken itself is not. I guess the kitchen staff overheard my comments and decided to cake the mild chicken strips in a heavy, hot, dry spice rub. The strips were for my kid, who couldn't eat them at that spice level. I wasn't able to finish them myself, I prefer a hot sauce compared to the heavily caked tenders. See pic. I note that there is not a Daddy's Chicken Shack in Nashville or Tennessee. That might explain my overall disappointment in seeking a true Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich experience here. Not in a hurry to return."
"The Budlong Southern Chicken is a fried chicken sandwich chain that serves Nashville Hot chicken sandwiches that uses chicken thighs instead of breast. This is the first location in Texas. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return)Atmosphere - The Budlong Southern Chicken is located behind Bar Louie in the Toyota Music Factory. Like all restaurants at TMF, try to get street parking, otherwise you have to park in the garage, which can be busy on event days. The restaurant itself is a long, quick serve style restaurant with booths along the sides, tables in the middle, and cool Budlong art and murals on the wall. If only it had better parking.... 1/2 Star.Service - The staff is super nice. We went on a grand opening day where the line was to the door, but the staff were all smiles, were super patient with our orders, and made sure we would enjoy our meals. Like most quick service restaurants, you order, give them your name, then wait for your food to come out. 1 StarFood - I ordered the original Nashville Hot chicken sandwich with Cajun potato salad. Kudos to Budlong because the thigh meat works. The chicken was hot, plump, juicy, and contained a good amount of heat. The soft, spongy bun held the chicken and slaw well. The slaw cooled the heat a little, and the cold, creamy Cajun potato salad cooled it a lot. IMO, it was a perfect paring. I chose the buttermilk ranch. And while I didn't dip my sandwich in it, my teens ate it with their hot, crispy crinkle-cut fries. But the star of my meal was the fried corn bread. Served with sweet butter, who knew boring cornbread could be transformed into such greatness? The only downer was the chocolate pie. The dough was very chewy and the chocolate a bit gooey. Otherwise, a great meal! 1 1/2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. While I'm not a fan of the parking at Toyota Music Factory, I'm happy that I now have a great local option (I live in Irving) for Nashville Hot Chicken. I'll be back for that fried corn bread! 1 Star"
"I went with a large group on a Saturday morning and they did an amazing job of taking care of us. No mistakes were made and that was impressive. If you get the Chilaquiles be aware that it's a full plate and it's very spicy. I plan to go back."
"1st the prices on the menu are for cash purchases only. There is a percentage increase charge if you pay with credit card. I was told after I purchased and had to inquire. Just add a sign by the register or let consumer know before purchase. Got the fried catfish and it was good. Condiment style tarter sauce similar to ketchup packs. Will try chicken and update."
"Always liked chicken salad, but Chicken Salad Chick takes it to a way new level . The food is always fantastic, love the melts, service is outstanding and the cookie that comes with you plate is amazing. Highly recommend !"
"This is the best authentic Indian food you can find in DFW! I'm so happy that we finally have tasty Indian food around here. The quality has been hands down top-notch. We ordered chicken tikka, lamb korma, and Punjabi goat curry with butter naan, all of which were excellent quality. Even though we got it through Uber Eats, it was still super hot, and the packaging was meticulous. I loved how the chicken tikka was so soft and juicy with great flavors"

"Stopped by this WaBa over weekend while in Dallas.Food was fresh, flavorful and of great quality. The staff was helpful and attentive. Restaurant was clean and welcome. Thank you WaBa Grill"
"This is a Mexican rotisserie chicken place! They serve a variety of other items as well! The chicken in my opinion was juicy and well seasoned and cooked to perfection! My family was the very first in line for the opening day of this restaurant and although they had a few bumps with us being the first in the drive thru they handled it very well! And we have been back a few times and they are smoothing out the kinks The chicken was moist and quite tasty and the star of the show! The burrito however was mostly rice and a little bit of beans and not enough meat for to justify the price! Although I did finish the plate and the salad! Would have preferred less rice or even none at all! Would I get it again? Maybe with no rice! The tacos were 5 street tacos to the order and came with charro beans and rice! I opted for a mix of chicken and Al pastor tacos! Everything was one point and very tasty! Definitely be back for the chicken and those tacos! The salsa bar is well stocked and had the red (hot) salsa and the green verde (little less hotter) with also was good! The pico de gallo was also well made and tasted good as well! They also had some pickled onions on the bar which were also very good tasting with just a small pop of the vinegar! With them opening a few days ago they still are very busy and you have to be patient with them as they can only cook so much chicken at a time. We ended up waiting awhile tonight but it was so worth the wait!So go check them out I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed"
"FYI, it says cervasa on the building (and they have beer posters of latin chickas everywhere), but they do not sell beer anymore.I don't get the appeal of this place (but I'm not a big fried chicken connoisseur either).People frequently go in and out of this place while I'm here (so someone must like it) yet I'm sitting here thinking it's just OK.I think the price is probably a big factor (pretty reasonable prices on the combos), but other then that the food tastes pretty ordinary or bland.I would have given this place 3 stars for being as "middle of the road" as it is, but I have one big issue with this place. FOOD I CAN'T EAT.Yes, (at times) when I get the chicken tenders or the fried okra I get (on occasions) pieces of food that no one could possibly eat. Either I get good size pieces of cartilage in the chicken tenders, or I get an occasional piece of okra that feels like I'm chewing plastic (leathery). And it hasn't been one visit that I've experienced this.So I end up going the safe approach and getting the chicken nuggets, and green beans (Geez... is this a stem in the green beans?)Anyhow, with a place like El Pollo Regio right across the street, I would recommend just stopping over there instead."
"When I think of fried chicken, the only question I ask myself is which Lisa's Chicken location do I want to go to. The one on Broadway has my favorite family meal special. The one on NE 28th St has unique items such as spaghetti, gumbo, and fried rice. Yes, I'm saying each location's menu is slightly different. This location is the closest to my home and lately has been the one I frequent most often. It is located inside a gas station that has a banquet hall in the same shopping strip. Something to keep in mind if you're coming here on the weekends. Lisa's offers great fried chicken at unbeatable prices. They also have plethora of fried goodness. Some of my favorites include corn nuggets, pizza pockets, and jalapeño corn dogs. They also have crinkle fries which are my favorite. I've always only gone through the drive-thru so I cannot speak for the inside. There's two windows in the drive thru so that helps with the flow. The staff is generally friendly though sometimes short but never rude. Their food is good and again, the prices are awesome. Seriously love Lisa's!"
"Stopped in to grab some food to go for dinner. Ordered two half chicken orders and let me tell you that the seasoning and chicken were perfect. Chicken was tender and not dry. Definitely putting this as a go to place on my list of favorites. Want to dine in next time cause it looks like they have some really good adult beverages. Service was fast and friendly, the vibe of this place is pretty cool."
"The chicken here has always been fulfilling. I believe it used to be called "The Original Chicken -n- Rice. The chicken tastes almost the same. Today I bought their buffalo chicken wings! I am not surprised that they are delicious better than Wing stop and for sure bigger wings. Service was good and environment. I do recommend. Prices are actually pretty decent with today's prices."
