"We stopped in as a party of 5 Sunday evening, and were acknowledged right away by the bartender but had to wait a little over 5 mins for someone to actually come and seat us. Our server was very nice and efficient. We ordered fried pickles and fried jalapeños as well as the queso, salsa and chips - everything was yummy. My kids both ordered the steak fingers and fries and enjoyed their meals. We ordered two single meat plates with chopped meat- chopped brisket onion rings and okra and the Tennessee Texas hot sandwich with chips. Tennessee Texas hot sandwich was misleading bc it was not spicy although the breading was red and was not flavored. It was very underwhelming but everything else was great. I will say, Bathrooms were small and dirty. My son went into the men's restroom and walked right back out stating it was too dirty for him to use. If in the area, we would prob stop again."

"Bad food, bad service, high prices, poor quality food .. We got the brisket tacos ($16), cajun shrimp + avocado($20), and the parmesan truffle fries. The brisket was super dry and the taco itself was even more dry. It came with a side of corn that was made from frozen corn and was tasteless, too. The cajun shrimp + avocado dish barely had any avocado in it and it also came on a bed of tasteless frozen corn. The parmesan fries were the best thing we ordered but they came out room temperature. Our server didn't come to our table until 15+ minutes after we were seated. Another server was busy chit chatting with his friends and kept his table waiting for long periods at a time because he was distracted. The ambience was pretty nice but all the other downsides are definitely going to keep us from coming back here unless there is a family gathering or birthday we are invited to. Pro's : Has a good amount of parking, easy to find, good location if you live in Coppell."

"We came here in August 2024 after a concert at nearby Dickies Arena. The staff warmly greeted us and we sat at the bar. The beer was good and cold and went down nicely after a long hot day. The nachos we ordered were spectacular. They were loaded down with fresh ingredients. The pico de gallo and fresh jalapeño slices were great as was the queso fresco. The pile of goodness tasted fresh and clean - and the chicken we added was also delicious. The kitchen did a great job of making sure that the toppings were all throughout the layers. For the food and service and ambiance - we would definitely return."

"Come hungry! Portions here are very generous and filling -- I thought prices were fair for the amount of food of you get. We ordered the Cowboy Cobb Salad, Tostada Chips & Queso, Firebird, Hand-punched Fries, and a Chocolate Milkshake. Everything was pretty good! I especially liked how generous the Cowboy Cobb was -- it was my entire entree, but I had to share with it my husband because of how much food there was. My husband enjoyed the chicken sandwich very much -- it was pretty spicy; and a mess to eat. Queso was actually a bit too salty, so we couldn't eat too much of it, but the milkshake really balanced it out. It was really hot when we came, so we couldn't sit outside, but there were tables and high-tops inside to choose from. The decorations and theme were super fun -- it was loud and casual. Service was the weak point of this experience. It was self-seating, so it kinda felt like we were initially ignored or forgotten by the staff, even after smiling, making eye contact, and waving at someone. It looked like there were a lot of waitstaff, but only one gentleman (Tramaine) was running around and helping the tables. He took our order and checked up on us periodically, so he was actually great; but I'm not even sure if we were technically in his section because it felt like he was running around the entire restaurant and I remember thinking that the others should be helping more. As a result, service was a bit slow; but I can't fault Tramaine for that as it was a pretty busy evening. Overall, it was a good experience! We really enjoyed the food and thought the theming was nice. The restaurant is also located in a nice plaza where you can walk around afterwards to get some fresh air and digest. LOL."

The fries are also done well with a slightly crispy exterior and a soft, starchy center.Tuesdays are half price burgers. It's a killer deal and feels unreal when you look at your meal and you look at what you paid for it.They also have a bar, salads, and a few dessert options.The interior is decorated well with TCU theme because it's right across the street from TCU. Floors do seem like they are always sticky, flies are sometimes inevitable, and parking is the worst, but these things are not egregious enough for me to knock down a star."

The meal we had the fish tacos, yes fish tacos in this location. Fresh and delicious. Not soggy and crisp in the tortilla. Salsa was good, but not spicy. We also had the chicken fried steak burger, which was good but the gravy, well was not fantastic and could do without it. It was very thin and not too thick where it would not stick to the steak on the burger. Fries were good, both sweet potato and nacho fries. For the bar, fantastic service and impeccable care. It was so good, we went back on Sunday after the Dallas game to sit down and watch the late Sunday game there. Ambiance was bar scene. It want quiet, so don't think the going for a quiet evening. It was loud and lively. Go and have some fun."

In my opinion, the addition of queso to their menu would undoubtedly shoot this place into legendary status!Dining at Stumpy's involves the use of all senses. Our favorite tables are located outside where we can view geese and ducks glide across the lake's surface amid its astounding beauty. My daughter also loves feeding them and asks to go see the "quack-quack ducks" all the time.After dining here, you must visit the sweet shop. What I can tell you is that there is nothing like their homemade cupcakes or cookies- they taste so good! Also, make sure to check out the front area that has a gift shop. Our daughter has picked out a cute stuffed animal on several occasions. These are the small things that make this place extra special.One small piece of advice though; it gets crowded at times so whenever possible ensure to arrive early or on weekdays before 5 PM. Planning is advisable given the experience one gets at Stumpy's if visiting during popular hours or on the weekend.Their staff has always been nice each time we go which adds more to the friendly feeling that welcomes everyone who enters Stumpy's.We stumbled upon Stumpy's while looking for a place to eat using Yelp and since then it has been one of our favorite places in Granbury. This is a five-star paradise situated by the lake offering scrumptious meals, top-quality service, and amazing scenery. Make sure not to miss out on this delightful dining experience!Yum!!!"

"Oh my goodness. We have been wanting to go here for a while but they were closed for repairs or something. When we passed by one day we saw that they were open and had to try it out.I love kimchi. Kimchi is love, kimchi is life. So when I saw the Kimchi burger I was immediately drawn to it. I'm not a burger fan, so at first I was skeptical to try a burger with kimchi and take the risk of the kimchi not being great. With my husband cheering me on to try it, I ordered it.We sat down, and our orders were brought to us. My goodness guys. These burgers were the size of my head. The pictures I took do not do them justice. We are staring at these two behemoths and don't even know how to start. One thing I do want to suggest is maybe giving us like a knife or asking if we wanted it cut in half. Maybe there were knives somewhere but I just didn't see, but I will definitely be asking for it to be cut next time!This burger was perfection. The kimchi was amazing, the burger was tender and juicy. The only bad thing is, I couldn't even finish 1/4 of it. Well is that a bad thing? I asked for to go boxes and ate the rest throughout the day. Literally a meal that fed me all day. The staff=amazing. The burgers and fries=fantastic.
