"Best classic double looping steel coaster in Texas. This ride never gets old, I can ride it all day long. Very fun. First time I rode it I blacked out on the second loop. Still had a Blast!"
"3 dollars to swim per person if you have a Dallas recreation card. It's worth it if you don't have a membership at a gym or nowhere else to go, and honestly its a pretty nice never crowded pool to swim at in the mornings between 8-9 and afternoons between 12-3 or something like that. That is when there is not leagues and reserved swim time. They also have a hot tub that is large enough for like 8 people. The pool is specially designed to help disabled folks, and I see quite a few elderly folks using the facilities in the mornings. The Bachman recreation center is specifically for those with special needs but those without can still use the pool facilities. Our stepson even did a lock-in one night while my wife was pregnant so its a great place honestly!"
"This is the kiddie version of the Mine Ride. While we were in line for this one the actual Mine Ride went down for maintenance so at least we got to do this one. For kids this one is really exciting! The drops are of course short but it speeds up when you are going straight and that was a lot of fun even for me. I'd totes ride this again even without kids and I saw plenty of teens and adults riding it as well."
"On arrival as you walk up which it's a walk. Wear comfortable shoes and bundle up. They have restrooms located at the beginning and ending of the trail . Full-size restrooms 3 to each trailer clean and stocked. Beginning of trail to start your journey snacks, souvenirs, and butter beer can be purchased . There are plenty of photo opportunities along the trail . Sights and sounds thru out the park .And it did the movies' justice with characters and props . You won't be disappointed it's a really nice experience."
"We started at 7pm which I feel is too early as it's still light outside. I was distracted by the downtown view from inside. We arrived 30 minutes early, the lines weren't horrific. We paid the extra $10 ($40 total) for the "VIP" and it was all a waste of money. I'm sorry. The entire drive was 4 floors and took all of 5 minutes or less driving a speed of 5 MPH. There were 2-3 monsters on each floor and I think they were a bit tired, lacking energy. 1 dude scared me at the end. It just wasn't worth the money. To say "oh, we got the kids out the house" was good to say, but they could've kept this here or charged $15 MAX per car. My kid was looking like WHO DID IT and WHY. Sorry Halloween Boo"
"I am a huge fan of mine trains and Runaway Mine Train did just the job. This was one of my first roller coasters when we visited SFOT, and while everyone is always asking "Why are you riding a kids roller coaster?", it's important to think about the history and traditions these mine trains have. The layout is pretty similar to Dahlonega Mine Train back at SFOG, maybe not as intense, but I did like the scenery of the ride, as it looked like we were in some forest. It's a great way to start your day at the park -- of course, yes there are some jerks and turbulence, but that's the beauty of a mine train. If you are a true roller coaster fanatic, you will also appreciate the beauty of mine trains and I hope they will never go away."
"I agree with previous feedback that the ride is rough. It's likely harder on heavier bodies and not so rough for kids or smaller adults. There are a couple of points where I felt slammed down in the seat. Anticipating the turns helps, but better seat padding would be an improvement. All that said, it's a classic ride that I'm glad Six Flags has KEPT and not torn down for something more extreme."
"Wish I could give it 4 1/2 stars. This is a review based on two years of coming here - 2017 & 2018. The mazes are really well done and I love that they cater to you based on the amount of people in your group. So my husband and I got to go in each maze by ourselves each time. We got a Groupon deal so it was $40 for my husband and I to have access to all 4 mazes. Pretty good deal. It's $25 / ticket if you buy your tickets there. You can buy one maze, two mazes, or all four. Anyway, it's out in the middle of nowhere so it's extra spooky when it gets dark. Parking is also FREE! The actors are great and the mazes are long so it's time and money well spent! There's just not much else to do once your done with the mazes. If you get there much past opening time, you run the risk of long lines. Otherwise, it's super fun. My husband and I will continue to come here during the Halloween season for years to come!"
"We had my son's 3rd birthday here - great value! If all the kids are going to eat pizza I recommend adding an extra pizza - we had 7 kids and they ate all but 2 pieces of pizza. Only con about the pizza is it wasn't fully cut, luckily the utensils I brought had knives. The party package gave each kid a water or capri sun. So bring something for the adults if they don't want to buy it there. The kid that helped us set up and clean up was awesome! They have a little baby/toddler area which is new and my 1 year old loved it! The inflatables were great and perfect for 2-3 year olds to run and play independently. We did not participate in the snow room."
"SUCH A FUN EXPERIENCE. Family fun for everyone! And wrist bands for UNLIMITED RIDES. Great music and endless food!"
"There is definitely a lot of potential here to be the next great birthday destination. We did have a good time. However, the lack of execution from the staff made it confusing when it came time to check out. It was our first time here. I believe a designated party person should be able to check in with the table. It was also frustrating to learn that the supplies they offered for the parties were not available when we requested it. ie. Napkins, plates. Overall, the party went well, but the little things were what made the experience less than stellar."

Located towards the back of SFOT, Shockwave is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. With two highly intense loops to start right off the drop, and then a airtime packed layout, this classic 1979 Schwarzkopf looper is surely going to make any avid coaster enthusiast full of joy upon reentering the station after their first ride. While the only thing going against it is it's very noticeable age, the roughness doesn't take away from it too much for me personally. 4/5, very fun and intense ride suitable for most of the family.

This is a wonderful place to swim year-round if you can take advantage of the schedule. It's never crowded, it's very clean, and since being remodeled last year (2017?) the deck and locker rooms have wonderful resilient flooring. The staff/lifeguards are really nice. Finally the price is right - $3 each visit if you have annual City of Dallas Rec Dept card. For all these reasons -- and despite having to use I-35 -- it's my favorite indoor pool.

Its a good ride for both kids and adults but it's really good for kids cause it's not a kiddie ride. It's really fun and has everything an adult ride has, its just not as aggressive as adult rides.

Really cool experience for Harry Potter fans and even fun for muggles like me who come along. They create a great atmosphere with sounds and light effects and characters from the movies and have some interactive scenes. The only downsides are the high price and the long lines even late at night (we went 10 pm on a Saturday). But if you are really into HP or if your kids are, it is worth a visit.

Don't waste your money. You are driving through blow up decorations and black trash bags. VIP level just has more humans who walk up to your car.I have been to scarier haunted houses hosted by a church. I think my local high school could have done a better job. Not at all scary, creepy or spooky.

A classic ride, which I am glad Six Flags has kept all these years. The park doesn't have many mid-level thrills like this.

No track? No problem.Gains notoriety for being one of the few remaining 'bobsled' coasters in the USA. For those unfamiliar with the genre, bobsled coasters are essentially free-wheeling trains that navigate a half-pipe "U"-shaped track. Unlike 99% of all other roller coasters that are affixed to the track, bobsled coasters have the ability to move around in slightly different ways depending on the weight distribution within the car. The downside to this is that it results in a much tamer ride since the speed is limited to under 30 or 40mph.There are also 3 block brake sections--an unusual number--to control any variance from car to car and reduce the amount of 'fishtailing' the free-rolling trains experience. The other downside unique to this particular model is that the cars themselves only seat a maximum of 6 people in an in-line arrangement. This results in a very low rider capacity per hour and, as a consequence, long lines. Counter this by making it your first ride of the day.Don't let that 60ft height statistic fool you; when the single train disengages from the lift hill and you come rumbling down the course, you'll be glad there's handlebars nearby! Lots of fun for everyone big and small, and one of the last of its kind anywhere in the world.

Reindeer manor was one of the oldest haunts in the area. The original location land got bought out it sounds like so they have had to relocate. This year they are running as a pop up style haunt in the skate park area of the lone star park area in Grand Prairie. It was a much better haunt in its previous location but they seem to be operating with what they have to work with; which I totally respect. I'm hoping they find a more permanent spot next year but it was fine this year knowing it's more of a pop up situation. Why I almost went down to 3 stars: I want to give them 5 stars based on past years experiences: I recommend coming and paying in person with cash in order to get in for $35. With card online fees bump the ticket up too $43-$44 ... at the gate paying card it bumps up to $37-38. The lady at the gate said l: "It's Because they have to charge tax on card" which I was told by the lady at the ticket gate. I know some smaller haunts keep their prices the same but add a $1-2 credit card transaction fee for card, but they say it's the credit card fee for them to be able to accept card ... not a dodge the tax preference. I appreciate the transparency but it also was a wait a minute moment. As well I appreciate them taking card now which in the past they didn't, but the terms they used and the fact the fees seem to double that of other haunts leaves a bad taste. Other haunts don't seem to have quite as many random fees online or as they do. Another major haunt in the area has a $4-5 service fee for online, but they put out a coupon code that helps off set that. I wonder what services they are using online to make there be $5.68 across 3 different fees online; plus tax. Again, I really liked this haunt in the past and appreciate them trying to keep going & ability to use card ... the fees are what get me when comparing to other haunts in the area ... I guess I'd prefer them to go back to cash only to avoid fees.

"So much fun!! We did the Sunday trip to Fort Worth and back to Grapevine. We didn't have any problems at all and it was a fun, chill way to spend an afternoon. The cars are very clean and comfortable and you go through some pretty neighborhoods and some that need to be cleaned up, but that has nothing to do with the train. We did first class and it was $26 each and you can buy snacks and drinks onboard. The 2 hours in Fort Worth is plenty of time to eat, wander and shop, and then watch the cattle drive and gunfight. Great trip!"
"A wise band called the Eurythmics once said.. Everybody is looking for something.. Well.. if you are looking for a GOOD haunted house, worth the 45+ mile drive, for the love of God do NOT waste your time on the Texas Scaregrounds. Overall it was so crappy that I want to call the management and demand not only my ticket money back, but the five bucks we paid to park PLUS the gas money to drive way the hell out to Kennedale, TX. Who knows where that is, anyhow?First, like I said, it was a LONG drive out there. Google maps sucks, but that's another story. We drove out there, approached the haunted house and were a little surprised to see it was a bunch of warehouses. I mean, I've been to GOOD haunted houses that were warehouses... but based on the reviews, we expected a little more. So...We pulled in and were told it was five dollars to park. Okay. So we paid that, like the good little sheep that we are. Parked, waited in line for a good long while and bought our 25 dollar tickets (28 without the 3 dollar coupon you can print from their website). First we went to the Chaos haunted house. It was the best one at the Texas Scaregrounds by far. I, personally, am pretty wimpy, and easily startled, and it was okay. We enjoyed it well enough. Unfortunately, it all went downhill from there. We went to the Asylum next, and it was not as interesting or as startling. It was fairly dull.Then... we went on the haunted hayride. Okay, so the employees TOLD us that it was the most 'family friendly' attraction. But...really, what they meant that it was quite possibly the most pathetic thing I have ever experienced at a "haunted" attraction ever. We stood in line to RIDE the stupid hayride probably three times as long as we were actually ON it. I don't even know how to describe it other than incredibly boring, pathetic and a huge, huge waste of time. It was like a bad joke. Worse than a bad joke. Seriously. Painfully bad. Three people in masks following a trailer being pulled by a suburban does not really make a haunted hayride, sorry. After that pathetic experience, we figured we might as well try and squeeze out a little more for our wasted money and went to the "nightmares" haunted house. The only nightmare was the stupid line. It was really boring, and rather short. I can't even be bothered to write much about it.All I can REALLY say is we will NEVER waste our time going to Texas Scaregrounds again. I rather go to Screams and I am really not even impressed by Screams. Next year, hopefully we can find something to erase our sad memories of the WORST HAUNTED ATTRACTION EVER!"
"The things you do for your kids. A 40 minute ride on a hard seat from the Zoo to Forest Park. Actually a little further than Forest Park. It takes you quite far. It stunk because of the Trinity River. You go over a rickety bridge. With the train full, I'm pretty sure you will end up in the nasty water. It was nice, my kids enjoyed it, but after about 15 mins in those hard seats I was like just let me off at the Food truck park or Pappasitos."
"***owner told me they will be moving to a larger location soon****Walked by this place didn't understand what it was, so we went back to investigate. SO GLAD we did. This is FUN! The rides here were invented and built by real rodeo cowboys. The men who actually rode the bucking broncos and bulls. They have taken their experiences and now you can have a taste of what it's like, but in safety. You can take a quick ride and call it a day, or if you want to take lessons in a safe environment before you take on the real deal, they can do that for you too. The men here were awesome, true Southern Gentlemen and a joy to meet. My ride on the mechanical bull lasted only 40 seconds or so (my choice), but it was a wild wild ride. You forget you are on a machine the way it bucks and moves. Unlike most mechanical bulls, this one is on wheels and is controlled by remote control. The bull rolls around the area as it bucks and kicks, giving you a very realistic taste of the cowboy (girl) life. You are safely seat belted in and the gentleman at the controls will never let you fall.If bucking and kicking are too much for you, don't worry there are other rides to take advantage of. There's even a giant fish you can ride.Definitely worth stopping in here!!"
"Bought the unlimited jump monthly membership, as they have a grand opening special going on. We visited as a party of 8, and had a blast! We loved when this location was coocoos and glad another kid friendly business took over this space. We will be back for some indoor summer fun. They have a cafe and clean bathrooms and some arcade games as well. And plenty of seats and tables to sit at. Lots of fun for parents and kids! You have to purchase their socks for $3 each which is not bad! Def check them out!"
"As a Chicagoan, and someone who is brand new to the culture of Texas and how rodeos work, I was completely freaked out by the show. There were bucking broncs, bull riding, barrel racing, team roping and more. The majority of the show I was nauseous just thinking about how someone (human or animal) was going to get hurt. Needless to say, my favorite part was when 4-year-olds ride the sheep :)Teachers were free the night we attended, so we sat in the $30 ticket section. I would highly suggest choosing this section and not paying $50 for VIP unless you want a lap full of dirt that the broncs kick up. Seating Tip (for the odd # sections): best view of the bulls/broncs is to the left, team roping/other horse activities are to the right, and barrel racing is front and center! The announcer had true southern charm, the clown was hysterical and had everyone cracking up, and seeing some of the people in the audience get super excited made me all the more energized. Although I can't say I would willingly go back, it made for a truly unique Texas experience."
"Let's be real, when it comes to affordable options for kids to run and play, especially on rainy day, it's limited, however this place allowed my rugrats to work off some built up energy and it didn't break the bank. Let me not lie, I had a Groupon, but now that I know about this place, we will be back. They offer a membership with a monthly price of $15 so your kids can have a safe place to run around. Get your mind right - this is NOT a trampoline park - these are inflated bounce houses. My kids are 5,4 & 2 and they loved every minute. Would I take the 15 year old -- no and if I dragged him along there are video games that he could play to pass the time. But for what's its worth we had a great time. Note: this place is located in a "strip mall" and I use that term very loosely. I actually made a couple of "where are we going" turns as it's a one way before I finally realized where I needed to be."
"Runaway Mountain is a great mild to moderate roller coaster to cool down after a long hot summer day in Texas. One of the charms about this ride is that it is located indoors, and is air-conditioned, so you will love this ride. Something that will surprise you is that it IS pitch black inside. My friend thought something malfunctioned, but that is the intent of the ride, so you do not see what is coming your way. It overall isn't too intense, except the fact you can't see anything in front of you.I thought it was pretty fun, and the ride itself isn't too long or too short because a roller coaster IS in the building so you can't see anything."
"This ride was one of my favorites. It was really smooth and thrilling. It rotates the entire ride so if you have motion sickness you'll want to skip this ride. It's a bit freaky because as you get to each corner it feels like you're going to go flying off the track."
"We had a blast here. The Santa and his workshop was awesome. Mrs Claus is a sweetheart and all the elves were very fun to hang out with. They have a train for the kiddos and concessions with tasty treats, a petting zoo, carousel and lots of characters walking around to entertain the kids. Face painting is $5 and it wasn't posted anywhere so that took us by surprise. Aside that everything was well received. It's a great place to visit and lots of photo opportunities. The kids will love it and so will you! Merry Christmas."
"Place is good but they will charge for parents, seniors and anyone else whether you youlll stay outside or inside. For kids there are bunch or bouncing options which they will surely love."
"Super fun time here! Perfect for adults and kids! I did the rock climbing and the rope climbing. Your arms will be getting a full workout so be ready! If you're physically active, adventurous, or just wanting to try something new, this is the place to come. You'll be sweating by the time you reach level 3. But conquer all 3 levels and finish it through! The rocks of the rock climbing felt very real! And it's not as easy as it looks. I met the owner. He seems to be very nice and reasonable. Also just a heads up, they do not give monetary refunds, but they will give you an alternative. I can see myself coming back. I would just recommend coming earlier in the day, for each climbing experience takes approx 1-1.5 hours to complete."
"Amazing place for toddlers and babies! I love the fact that everything is perfect for them and their ages, and you don't have to deal with bigger kids."
"I am not a churchgoer. Organized religion works well for some people but I'm very much of the "whatever floats your boat, just keep it to yourself" way of thinking. BUT Hell House is such a icon of crazy religiosity that when I realized it was only 30 minutes away, I had to check it out. There's a documentary streaming on Netflix if you want to learn a little about it. I've never been before but I do have to say, I was mildly disappointed. The preview on their website was bananas and while there was some WTF zaniness present last night, there wasn't near the amount of rape, incest, or drug abuse we expected. Lame! We thought there was going to be alot of waiting but we timed it just right that we barely had to wait at all. The waiting was also made more pleasant by the boozed up Limeades we had brought along. I would not recommend going into Hell House sans buzz.. There is an ominous hayride into the woods and then you wait a little outside a bunch of trailers. The first lame thing was that you could hear the fake gunshots from the line so you were like immune to it by the time you got in there. The shooting scenes were the least climactic parts, surprisingly. The concept is that each scene shows people being encouraged by demons to do bad, bad things like not be Christian, deal drugs, beat their wife, have an abortion, go to a party, etc. Another lame thing: the "death monitors" that usher you through the rooms are really annoying -they yell at you and are "mean" but in the silliest way possible. Ours kept telling us we walked slower than her grandma and "she's really old." Zing, Death Monitor! What wasn't lame was the abortion scenario -it was clearly the scene they put the most effort into. The girl who acted as the nurse demon was really funny and good at delivering her didactic, misguided anti-choice rhetoric. They pulled out some "baby chunks" and showed them around to the crowd and one of the death monitors said "Mmmmmm." And the fake abortion doctor's name was Dr. Tiller. Stay classy, Hell House. The nurse shouted to us as we left the room "November 2nd vote to keep me in office!" Nice touch. There was also a really odd scenario about human trafficking. It basically said that if you are a teenage girl who drinks and goes to a party to hook up with a guy you like you will be sex trafficked by him. Yeah. It gets really hot and stinky in Hell House cos it's mostly sweaty teens and tweens in there with you and when someone farts, it is very apparent. They cram you into a upright coffin and one point and it's pretty scary, mostly because there were four of us in there and it got a little intimate. Does Hell House encourage 4 person 7 Minutes in Heaven? Kind of. Except that you don't actually reach "heaven" until they finally let you out of the coffins and watch a video montage including (but not limited to) I Am Sam and a bootleg Passion of the Christ torture scene. Hell was surprisingly silly, just a dark room with a strobe light and some bandaged bloody demons running around growling at us. Then you go in a room and a pastor says something about how we might go to Mickey D's and die tonight and what if we aren't saved? We didn't get saved and we didn't go to McDonald's that night but we were entertained."
"We saw a reel on Instagram about this place and so it look like it was going to be a lot of fun. I mean it looked amazing on the reel like we had been missing something all of our kid lives. They even was an advertisement for adult hours but I would not be interested in that at all after visiting this place. First of all it's in Denton so it's not really convenient to where we live or anything. It is in an older shopping center in Denton. There was good parking and we were able to get in quickly as we purchased tickets in advance. The workers did not seem to be that active around the place in just cleaning up and walking around. The cleanliness of the place was so so. I am not sure how the food was. As We did not try it, but it smelled like it was going to be pretty good. My son and his friend who tried it are 10 years old. They were really kind of bored with it. They tried the slides and came back quickly. They seemed to like the basketball and the swing area better. We sat in front of the swing area and it seemed to be quite hazardous because some people would over swing, and you could kind of fall off the mat. Perhaps it needed to be a little bit longer... we stayed the two hours we paid for and asked the kids about their thoughts. They didn't seem to want to return which is unusual for a kids place. It was very chaotic and loud in there as well. I also wasn't sure how they know it's time for you to leave because we didn't hear any announcements or anything. So overall, it was something to do for the day, but we would not return as it was far and just nothing special. It wasn't very expensive compared to some of these kids parks. However, it was limited compared to similar places."
"Ahh, Traders Village. Absolutely enormous. So much to see. $5 to park, free entry, and then you're off... You can seriously spend a lot of time here, especially if the weather is right. It's like an amusement park meets a farmers market meets a flea market. And flea market includes everything under the sun, from cars to furniture to antiques to new clothes to local art to seasonal decor and more. Sooooo much more. And you're allowed to barter! The grounds are covered in endless rows of vendors, rides, carnival-type games, and food and drink stands. There's a few stages and live music. Some of the vendor stand are super small, some are set up like an actual indoor store. Some are beautifully organized and some are a filled with piles of treasure to dig through. You'll find multiple produce stands with probably the largest variety of seasonal fruits and veggies I've ever seen set up outdoors, with items I'm less familiar with like different types of cactus, lychee, passion fruit, and kumquat. They seem to have every pepper, tomato, and squash; just perpetual rainbows of variety. As far as food goes, they've got several different stands and little outdoor restaurants serving things like turkey legs, corn dogs, hot links, street tacos, Thai food, funnel cakes, roasted corn and elote, nachos, slushies... Then there's a large indoor spot with AC called Gary's Grill for hamburgers, hotdogs, nuggets, fries, etc. Plenty of food options. There's even wine, beer, and those frozen wine-based "margaritas." Then there's the rides... just go look at their list online hahaha: tradersvillage.com/grand-prairie/rides/ They have rides for little kids and then bigger and scarier rides for everyone else. Bumper cars, swings, an old-fashioned carousel, spinning things and rollercoasters and a vertical drop thingy and a lot more. You pay $13.99 for a wristband that gets you unlimited rides, which is such an excellent deal. There's really so much here to entertain everyone in your family!"
"This was tons of fun!!! I really enjoyed riding this. It's similar to the Men in Black ride at Universal and the Buzz Lightyear ride at Disney. You shoot lasers at the bad guys on the screen to gain points and can compete against your fellow riders in your car and as a car against other cars. Joel always beats me in these things but I will one day beat him! The story was fun and I loved the decor outside the ride and leading up to it."
"$6 for for 17 minutes of innocent funI honestly didn't know $6 could bring me so many mixed emotions. I was anxious, terrified, and delighted all in a span of 17 minutes. Those 17 mins felt longer than a bikini wax. Like others have said, you enter the maze with an objective and can't exit until you have completed it. I kept getting lost during closing time and the owner had to guide me out. He seemed annoyed and irritated butI don't blame him. I was seriously going to be trapped in there because I couldn't the last letter. If you find yourself in the stockyards, skip half of the gift shops and do this maze instead."
