Glenda loves drive in's. I prefer an air conditioned theater with big comfy recliners. Tonight, Glenda won. We're seeing Twister! Got there later than planned, so we're on the next to the last row. The line at the concession stand took foreverrrrrr. But we have drinks and popcorn, so let the movie begin! The car next to us had small kids with no interest in the movie. Let's make noise while the smoke from daddy's cigarette drifts into our car. The sound is over your car radio, so it's great. The picture was pretty so so. We really enjoyed the movie, so we'll see it again in a theater. Drive in theaters are great, just not for me.

We came here while staying in Glen Rose for our anniversary. We saw The Notebook. I called ahead to make sure we could come during intermission, and the man I spoke to on the phone was so helpful! We got there and the girl who helped us at the concession stand was very friendly and helpful as well. The movie experience was great and the ladies bathroom was very clean! It was a Thursday night so it was not busy, just us and another car. We were really able to enjoy the experience. I definitely recommend going here, I would come back again!

This was the cutest, cleanest and friendliest drive-in I've ever been to. My kids got to run and play in the grass right in front of our car and then watch a brand new movie from our car that had blankets and snacks. I will be back again and again.

The Brazos Drive-In was built in 1952, and has been in continuous operation since. It is one of the few remaining original drive-in theaters in Texas. The Brazos Drive-In has one screen and original old concession building as well. The Drive-In is a reminder of the euphoric post World War II era in American and Texas history. Mr. and Mrs. Fort Keith built the Drive-In in the style of Art Deco, which was highly popular in the 1950's. The Brazos Drive-In was designated a Granbury Historic Landmark by the City of Granbury Historic Commission October 7, 2003 and re-designated a permanent landmark April 1, 2008.This information was obtained from the city website describing all the historic landmarks in town.

We are so lucky to have this place nearby. $20 for a car load. $15 on Sunday. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded at all. The snack bar has a lot of food selections that are delicious as well. Definitely will be back.

I haven't been to a drive in since I was a little kid, I heard about this place last summer and when a friend was visiting with his kid, we went. Even though it was July when we went, it wasn't as unbearably hot as one would think it would have been. They also had outdoor seating near the snack bar which totally reminded me of Grease! What I liked:Inexpensive - I think it was $20 for the whole carload (although there were only 3 of us)We could also bring in our own drinks and food so we had plenty of snacks but there was a snack bar when we ran out of beverages. Fun! - We stayed for both films of the double feature. We played cards old school style until the movie started, but there were also kids playing in a front area. Friendly - There were a lot of people around so there was definitely some opportunities for bonding with others there. Plus the staff was all very nice and helpful. What I wish I had thought about:Lawn chairs. I don't know why it didn't dawn on me to bring lawn chairs and just sit outside the car. Probably because I haven't been to a drive in in 30 years. We backed into the space and opened the back of my scion and put the seats down to be comfy. But if all the way in, I think it was hard to see due to the shape of my car. Next time, lawn chairs all the way. What I worried needlessly about:Car battery. They don't have the old school tinny speaker boxes so I was mildly concerned about running the car battery for 4ish hours while we listened to the movies on the radio. All my childhood lessons of "No we can't do that because the battery will die" ran through my head while we watched our movies. Luckily mine didn't die, but it seems like enough regulars are around who carry jumper cables to help a person out if it did die. Also if you are parked close to the snack bar, they are blasting it so you can hear it without using the car radio.

Haven't had alot of experience with drive-ins so our first time was a little rough. Next time we will be better prepared! Should have brought the cooler of drinks, blankets, pillows, and itouches for the kids who got bored and started war in the car....darn kids. Very nifty thing to keep going and really lots of fun. Popcorn was good decent restrooms and great sound quality-I will definitely be back again!

Beware! The owners are illiterate and dishonest. We paid an extra $100 for VIP entry into the Metallica show tonight. According to the website we were supposed to be able to enter through the VIP entrance an hour early to be able to secure a parking spot. We arrive an hour and a half early to find they've been letting everyone in since 5:00 pm. The show is supposed to start at 8:30pm. I asked both owners about this and got the dumbest looks. The lady just looked at me and said "you got to come in through the VIP entrance". I'm not sure she's even able to comprehend her own website. I hope the show will be good as we will never come back to this backwoods facility. What a let down and waste of money simply because of the owners stupidity.
