Hubby and I came here for an impromptu lunch date and it was a very pleasant surprise! First of all, I stupidly know they served specialty coffee beverages and every single one looked so much fun! I got the iced cranberry matcha latte, which was delicious, but the milk was a bit curdled, so it wasn't all the pretty. We opted to sit outside on the patio for the view and it was a full patio with a few groups enjoying lunch. The whole menu looked super appetizing, it was hard to choose, but I went for the fish while hubby went with the steak melt. Service was warm and attentive, but extremely slow. At times it seemed like there were only 2-3 servers attending to both the patio and indoor dining area. They could have used at least 2 more staff to keep things moving. We were often left waiting for long stretches of time. Food was actually delightful! My fish was cooked just right and the rice was flavorful. The green beans had a nice crunch to them, which is exactly what I was craving! Hubby polished his plate with ease.I would definitely come back again!

Short:1. Service not great (at best)2. Food was terrible3. Patio music was beyond obnoxiously loud4. Save yourself, go somewhere elseDetails.Went to celebrate my friend's birthday (Thurs, Oct 17 2024)- she wanted a rooftop experience and to see the hunter's moon. She made a reservation, and they accommodated us on time- and then everything went downhill.SERVICE: our server was polite and nice but seemed inexperienced. She didn't know the menu well, didn't know what kind of tea they offered and nothing we asked for seemed to register. As my friend doesn't drink (medical reasons) we were looking for nonalcoholic bevs. Ultimately, we ordered club soda and got topo chico and it took about 20 minutes total (we started asking for hot tea...but she had no idea what kind of tea they offered. We told her maybe a green tea but open to anything that wasn't fruity or sweet. She came back (about 10ish min later) with one option for a fruit flavored green tea...and couldn't remember any of the other options so in frustration we asked for club soda...then maybe seven minutes later she came back to inform us they were out and then offered us the topo chico. We went with it.After we ordered salads and mains, she proceeded to tell us the salads were working every time she passed us (at least a half dozen times) and it started to become a joke. Yes- it took a long time for them to come...but no need to remind us every time you pass by- we weren't being impatient about it.FOOD: Yikes. I ordered a burrata/tomato salad. The tomatoes were- strange? texturally they seemed like they had been frozen and the cell walls had burst because they were mealy and mushy. I also had a weird reaction to them and immediately my mouth broke out and I had hives for two days after- I am not allergic to tomatoes (I grow them and eat them all the time) so my best idea is that they were not organically grown and hadn't been washed- probably a reaction to some pesticide. I was starving so I ate it quickly and then suffered the reactive consequence....that's what I get for not eating all day. My friend ordered the arugula pear salad- it was woefully under-seasoned and instead of dressing it just seemed like they doused it all in oil (I tasted it, it was gross). For a main, I order the carpaccio- one of my favorite dishes...and what they did to it was a crime against the dish and the cow that died for it. its literally raw beef so it should be hard to screw up. Came with some oily unseasoned arugula and the meat was meh- i still ate it bc I was starving. Many regrets through the rest of the night. My friend (Birthday girl) ordered the short rib. it came out when she was about 1/4 the way done with her salad. I have NEVER seen my friend send something back- but she took one bite, spit it out and said "I can't eat this, there is just no way" Sauce was congealed, polenta was clumpy and cold, meat was unseasoned (I did not try this dish so I am going off what she told me). AMBIANCE: They had live music. It was so loud that we were sitting shoulder to shoulder literally yelling at each other. I was a chef on rock tours and worked right behind main stage at many a punk rock show- and this was more obnoxious than that- we asked to move further from the musician but it didn't help.GRAND FINALE: After sending her food back and an overall abysmal experience, we told the waitress we were all set. Maybe it wasn't clear enough that we just wanted to pay and leave because she asked us if she could get us anything 3 times (where we replied "No thank you, all set") each time- Maybe she couldn't hear us because it was deafeningly loud with the music going. Finally I directly told her we were ready for the bill. They took off the short rib so that was nice I guess.

What a great experience! I was asked on a date and told to meet here. The parking was really simple and they validated my parking tab. We were seated immediately out on the rooftop and what a view!!! The weather was perfect and we were able to watch most of the sunset. For our drinks we got a bottle of red blend because they were half off. #win. Yummy!!! For an appetizer we went with the beef carpaccio. It came with pita chips. The steak was rare and very delicate. It was full of flavor and left me anxious to try the next dish. For an entree I decided to go with the bacon wrapped quail. It was paired with jalapeño cheddar grits and brussel sprouts. The quail was also stuffed with jalapeño and was very spicy! I had to remove the jalapeños and found that it included the seeds. Way too hot for my taste but this was a flavorful dish in spite of the heat. I decided to pass on the dessert which is a chefs special so ask for the verbal menu and I'm certain they'll have something yummy. I can't wait to return for another wonderful evening and to try more of the fabulous dishes. This place is great for date night or girls night out!

Bird Branch is perfect for a lunch with friends or a romantic dinner. This place has a very lovely concept. The food is good--not in my top 10--but I'd still recommend it, and it offers a beautiful view of the city.

If ever I have been to a restaurant that was nearly perfection, this one is it. Starting with the view. You can't help but love this place when you sit out on the patio deck with all of Fort Worth below you. On the evening we were there it was one of those quickly cooling nights. At first it was comfortable, then as the sun set the heaters came on and everything remained perfect. The beverage menu has a broad selection of craft beers, enough wines to give a good selection and some very creative craft cocktails. I had the Doin' Thyme and my wife had the Pearfect Crime, and both were excellent. Others had wines and beers and were very happy. The only starter we tried was the Steak & Chimichurri Flatbread and it was perfect. The main courses ran the gambit of the menu and everyone was extremely happy. My wife had Burrata with Heirloom Tomatoes and added shrimp as a protein. This dish was perfect, from the cheese to the freshness of the tomato to the perfectly grilled shrimp. I had the Bacon-wrapped Quail, which is served with jalapeño and roasted raspberry chipotle, poblano pepper cheddar grits and brussels sprouts. This dish was excellent - perfectly prepared, excellent sides and just the right amount of heat from the jalapeno. Other highlights at the table were the Salmon Toscana, Creole Redfish and filet. We had no room for dessert. All during our meal there was a gentleman playing acoustic guitar singing a selection of singer/songwriter tunes from the last 50 years. Perfect volume and a great voice that added tremendously to the atmosphere. I give Branch and Bird an enthusiastic 5 stars.

Just went for drinks during happy hour. Really friendly staff, helpful when I told them it was our first time. Gorgeous shaded balcony. Fantastic and beautiful craft drinks. Loved the bartender, she even explained why our drink was so delicious. Side note, the elevator system in the building was pretty cool too. We weren't able to stay for the sunset, but I hear it's stunning from their balcony. Inside also has the view, pretty big place .Good happy hour specials also.

The view of the city is beautiful and very peaceful. It is also mostly shaded which is nice during the summer. The service can be slow at times, but if you're not in a rush and just enjoying drinks it's not usually a problem. The drinks are made well!

If you haven't been to Branch & Bird, I'd recommend it--especially for the rooftop view, which was the main reason we went, and it did not disappoint. The food was well-seasoned, though not top-tier, but it matched the overall vibe of the place. The servers were kind and approachable, though since we arrived during a busy time, we didn't see them often while waiting for our food or during the meal. That said, we still felt taken care of. I'd suggest making a reservation in advance and opting for outdoor seating. We plan to return when there's live music and during happy hour. For those interested in details: We checked the sunset time beforehand and scheduled our reservation around it. We visited on a Friday in February, with clear skies and a perfect 72°F temperature, arriving about 15 minutes before sunset. Watching the sun set over the city was beautiful. We stayed for a little over an hour.Parking was easy--there are metered spots on the street, and parking is free after 6 PM. The building itself is modern and beautiful. To reach the restaurant, use the touch screen by the elevators to select your destination, and it will assign you an elevator. Once upstairs, the hostesses were welcoming and seated us promptly. We ordered the ceviche tostada, steak & chimichurri flatbread, and chicken capellini pasta, sharing everything between two people. Each dish had great flavor, but my favorite was the ceviche tostada. The entire experience cost us under $100.Overall, a great spot for the view, ambiance, and a relaxed meal. Looking forward to visiting again!
