Boiling Tails

I'm sorry this place is disgusting. I ordered the salty sailor which consisted of shrimp and crab legs. Omg when I say this place has no flavor. I mean just that. It tastes like it's still swimming at the bottom of the ocean. I'm trying to doctor up my left overs now since I paid $69 for this trash. The service was good. She did her best being the only server.

They aught to be ashamed of themselves.All seafood is ordered by the pound, no half pounds or combinations available. All corn, potatoes, eggs, sausage are a la carts as well. That part, I feel is normal, but, only giving TWO SLIVERS of sausage, as a SIDE of SAUSAGE, is ludicrous. For those two slivers of sausage to be $2.99 is even more outrageous. All in all, I was severely underwhelmed by the boil I ordered. The presentation was nice and looked promising. But looks can be deceiving. The shrimp was not deveined. The crab was fine, but not succulent. The eggs were overcooked and completely gray. The potatoes were on point. But the corn tasted like freezer water and was boiled with no salt or butter, then drenched in the "it'll change your life sauce". It did change my life, and it wasn't for the better. The sauce tasted very heavily of tomatoe, citrus, and lemon pepper seasoning, but no garlic, butter, onion, cajuness, depth.The drinks were extremely sweet and thick.I maybe would have maybe had a better experience if our food didn't total out to just under $100 and for me to leave feeling cheated and underwhelmed.

Meh, I had really high hopes for these Crab Mac-N-Cheese Balls but what a let down. Although they were moderately priced (5 for $9.99), I didn't taste any crab meat...or seasoning for that matter. SMH I also ordered some fried catfish but didn't take a picture after realizing it was some sort of cod substitute and not in the "fish and chips" kinda way. Maybe these items aren't what they're known for so if you choose to go, get something else lol

Went here yesterday (Thursday) for the all you can eat catfish special. For 9.99 they give five pieces of beautifully cooked filets and fries. I was pleasantly surprised how nice my order looked . But as soon as I took the first bite , it was nothing but total disappointment. I've never had a piece of catfish with absolutely no seasonings or favor what so ever. It went from a 10 in presentation to 0 in favor. I tried by adding hot sauce salt pepper, still nothing. It actually was thee worse catfish i ever had and i couldn't even finish it . Even at 9.99 it was a total waste of $$ , will not be going back unless they hire a new cook...

Although I didn't snap a pic, the crab stuffed jalapeño's packed some heat and were delicious! Loved them enough to return the next night for another round.My grandson loved the mahi mahi. I managed to snag a bite and it was delicious. I would recommend!I wasn't overly excited with the fried shrimp. Flavor was a bit lacking; but the tartar sauce was fantastic.Service was great both nights! I would definitely pop back in if in the area.

Came back for a blind date. Cozy spot with great food. Prices are a little high but the location is perfect. We were loud and carefree, but nobody seemed to notice. Great place to go and have a great time.

I heard the hype about this place so wanted to taste the fuss. Well, not a fuss at all. I've had way better from other restaurants in the same category. The service was okay. We didn't have to wait to be seated. The drink was good. The gumbo tasted like beef stew with shrimp. Not, Louisiana gumbo, or close. The supposed to be Roux, was not roux.The shrimp was boiled them dumped in a sauce. It had little flavor.

Food was fair... We ordered shrimp, Dungeness crab, potatoes, sausage, corn and boiled eggsThe sauce wasn't bad .. a bit too salty for my taste. My biggest issue was the shrimp and crab was a bit dry inside. The shrimp was very hard to peel. I've done a lot of boil restaurants. I've never struggled as hard to peel shrimp as I did these.Unsure if it was overcooked. But the shrimp was to point when I tried to peel it was stuck to the meat. May try this again... not sure

We decided to stop here for dinner prior to a concert in the area. Their menu looked good. The first thing we noticed was a sign on the door that said your charges on your bill might be different than what is on the menu because prices have changed. WTH! Really! The sign looked well-worn. There were 3 filled tables in the restaurant. The waitress was prompt and friendly. The decor was nice and the space looked clean. We ordered a margarita and our food - fried catfish platter w/fries and grilled tilapia w/veggies. The margarita looked good and hubby said it was fine. We didn't have to wait long for our food. Catfish was fried nicely and seasoned well. The fries were good. The tilapia doesn't have much flavor by itself, but it was nicely seasoned and cooked. The veggies were squash and peppers that had been cut up into cubes. Overall it was nice flavored and cooked. Now, for why they only got a 3.5. Two things: #1 - I noticed there was plenty of time for the staff to put correct prices on the menu. There is nothing worse than getting a "Surprise" on your bill when ordering something. Either work overtime or during down times to get the correct prices on your menu OR reprint the dang menu, even if it is black and white from a printer at home! #2 - The hush puppies were the worst hush puppies I personally have ever tasted. They looked good, but I ended up spitting them out. There was no outer crunch. They did not taste as if they had ever been fried. When you squeezed them, no crunch. The flavor was off and there was no cornmeal taste to them. I thought, did they use flour? The flavoring of them was weird too. I had my husband taste them and he said they definitely tasted under- cooked. He did not have as bad a reaction to them as I did, but he did not eat his either. Both of us usually LOVE hush puppies. Anyway, something was very off about these, but I added 1/2 star because he did not hate them as much as I did.

Just drove 40 minutes to come here to eat the all you can eat catfish that they're advertising on Facebook just to be told they're not doing it because they have a soccer game across the streetat the stadium!! so pissed!!
