A new Roman tavern has entered the chat for best Italian in Fort Worth! This hot new restaurant is worth checking out. From the rustic Italian vibe to the homemade & crafted food, they have cultivated an experience that is truly authentic to the Motherland of fine wine, pasta and hospitality. Upon seating, my husband and I even said, "Wow, this takes me back to that little restaurant we found in Rome last summer."Upon eating, my husband and I continued, "Wow, this actually resembles the pastas we had in Italy!" It made for a very fun night of a new local experience while enjoying moments of nostalgia. It's just the best when food can spark memories! Such a comfort. Will we be going back?Assolutamente, lo faremo aka "Absolutely, we will."

This was a wine tasting bar. Difficult to find the first timeThe cacio e Pepe was excellent with the pasta cooked a perfect al dente. This was a 5 out of 5Meatballs. Too bready. The sauce was thin and fairly bland. A 3 out of 5Lasagna. Unique! Burnt edges. Tasty. 4 out of 5Short ribs over polenta. Loved the preparation of the polenta. I'm not sure this was short ribs and more so chuck roast. It was delicious. 4 out of 5It's worth the trip for Italian food

Loved this restaurant. Reasonably priced and fresh ingredients. The hostess treated us to a drink to celebrate a friendship anniversary and we are very grateful for the compliment to our dinner. The tomato appetizer and the desert was my favorite. Honestly considered getting a second desert but the belt line doesn't need it. Will definitely visit again.

11/7/2024. I am always up to try the best places. Bocca was exceptional. Kyle our server was helpful and pleasant. Patient with me as I couldn't decide what to try. Had an aviation to start with. Gin and crème de violette, beautiful and potent. Appetizers were focaccia and the first night on the menu the cantaloni soup. Omg! It was amazing. Every flavor was present. The beans, the seasoning perfect. No flavor Overpowered another. The pasta with wild boar was rich in flavor. For dessert had the panna cotta it was heavenly. Not too dense. Amazing experience. Reservations are highly recommended as it is a happening place.

The ambiance is good. Feels cozy and very welcoming. I will say it's definitely loud in the interior of the restaurant. Like lean across the table loud to hear people. A little sound absorption would go along way.The outside patio looks really nice (weather permitting).Food is definitely good. The pasta is al dente. Honestly, everything we had was very good. I should have taken more photos. The service was great. Very attentive. They seem to take the entire appetizer and meal order upfront so they can course out the meal. They are no longer BYOB. We went last weekend Oct 5 2024 and they did allow us to bring in bottles. we had to pay a $15 uncorking fee per bottle. The host let us know they are phasing out the BYOB now that they have a liqour license.

Finding truly good Italian food in DFW can be such a challenge. Here in Near Southside Fort Worth, we are all of a sudden blessed with some of the best pasta I've had in a very long time. Bocca Osteria Romana is truly a hidden gem - hidden in a small alleyway off Main Street called The Squeeze - around the corner from Emporium Pies. There were so many things on the menu we'd want to try. For our first visit, we chose the focaccia bread to start with, and I chose the lasagne while hubby chose their "famous" Amatriciana (they have an established location in Puerto Rico).Every single thing we ordered was incredible. I didn't think I'd like the Amatriciana, but hubby gave me some and I forgot I had a whole plate of lasagne waiting on me. Their menu is well rounded, and I can't wait to go back to try the Carbonara or the Osso Bucco.Service was incredibly attentive and helpful and you'd never know that they only opened 3 days ago.

Tutto delizioso! What a wonderful addition to South mainstreet! We have been waiting for this spot to open and it did not disappoint. My husband and I came here on opening night and were very happy with the atmosphere, service, and food. To start we had the eggplant and focaccia bread. They were both amazing ! We split the cacio e pepe and it was everything :) finished the meal off with the tiramisu, which I would highly recommend. The atmosphere is a more laid back casual vibe with Italian touches. It brought us back to our honeymoon Everyone was so attentive. Julian was the best! We will be back!

Really wanted to love this place but my expectations were too high. This place didn't hit the mark and we were here for a birthday celebration. 3 stars is more than fair. First off, ambiance is great - love that it's in a little alleyway, the patio was nice which was where we were seated. The problem with that was the table they had reserved for us was outside and it was cold with no heaters until we asked. It was almost like they weren't prepared for us. The manager did serve us which was a very nice touch but service was slow. Water glasses were empty most of the time. We didn't have clean napkins especially after they took our small plates and told us to hang on to our utensils which was awkward because we didn't have have anywhere to place them and felt like something you do at a cheap buffet. This place is not cheap. Most wine glasses are about $20. We were recommended a few that didn't match what we were looking for. After we put in our orders and the appetizer came out, the manager said the focaccia was on the house which tasted amazing. That was excellent. We also got the meatballs which were fine but nothing special and not worth the $18 price tag. My friend said that the table next to us that got the meatballs had 3 extremely big ones whereas ours were small. $4.50 for a tiny meatball is outrageous - we had 4. For entrees, we ordered the lasagna, carbonara, and a couple of other dishes I can't remember the name of. The lasagna was good - a little different than what you would typically expect lasagna to taste like. The rest of the other pasta dishes were ok - again, nothing special. We ordered the tiramisu, 2 came out and one had a candle on it which was nice. Dessert was ok. Check comes out and we're charged for the focaccia that was supposed to be on the house via the manager and there's absolutely nothing they did for a birthday besides a candle. In other words, we paid for all the desserts which is fine but for a hefty price tag, this place is disappointing. I would not come back.

Bocca is a new Italian spot that opened up on south Main. They are excellent! The owner hand makes his pasta, nearly all of his pasta, every day. These servers are all super nice and friendly and are very knowledgeable of their menu. The restaurant is small and they like to serve multiple courses. So I say it's best to have a reservation. Overall, I thought it was truly excellent and cannot wait to go back.

So many good things are happening at Bocca -- every dish we tried was perfect. Seeing suppli on the menu was a joy, and they did not disappoint. The pastas are authentic and fresh, the focaccia will bring a tear to your eye, and the panna cotta is the best we've had. The ambiance is comfortable and casual (loud on a busy Sat. night). And the cocktail and wine lists are full of excellent choices, without being overwhelming. Bocca took us back to many good meals we've had in Rome. It's our new favorite Italian place in FW. Glad they chose to land in our city!
