Blue Mound Donuts

Hey Foodie Fam, Here's another much anticipated review from your boy Jerry aka Cereal Killer! This is overdue from Easter Sunday by the way. I had Papa Yun's Donuts bookmarked for a long time but I've been unwilling to make the 23 mile 27 minute drive to Bryant Irvin Rd and I can honestly tell you that I no longer need to make that drive to get Cronuts! I am here to testify that Blue Mound Donuts MAKES one of the Best Cronuts you will ever taste. The store front from the outside is dark and they may look Closed but go inside for Sunshine And Rainbows! This is an innovative donut shop. My 8 year old son and I tried the Sausage Donut Holes and we both liked them, the wife not so much. The Maple Bacon Bar is a 5 out of 5. The Cronuts are a 5 out of 5. The Red Velvet Donuts are a 5 out of 5. The Sausage Donut Holes are a 3.5 out of 5.Please help support small business especially one that makes Awesome Donuts!

Stopped in during the holidays as it is close to my home. My usual donut shop is closer to work, but I didn't feel like making that drive. My parents were in town and they are early birds. I had to be quick and get some donuts while they were having their morning coffee. I've been in again since and have enjoyed their selections. Walking in, the shop is small as most are but the distinctive difference with this one is the decor. The walls are adorned with superhero posters and action figures. There's also a wall of pictures of what looked to be customers which made it have a personal local feel. They even have little toys for the kiddos to play with. I noticed that they had a cappuccino machine as well as coffee. As for the donuts, I scanned the case and noticed quite a few options with bacon, ie sausage rolls with bacon and what looked to be a bacon croissant. There were fun glazed ones with colorful sprinkles and some with toppings such as Oreos and cereal. The donut holes were also dressed up with sprinkles and different glazes. They have a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich that is really good. It's huge and quite filling. The croissant itself is just ok and not very flaky but the sandwich is good as a whole. My dad loves cinnamon rolls and thought theirs was decent. The glazed donuts were also average at best. There's also danishes with cherry, apple, and cream cheese fillings. Now, the reason I will come back is their red velvet cake donut with cream cheese frosting! The cake donut is so moist and light. It had a great red velvet flavor and paired with the yummy tangy cream cheese frosting, I almost felt guilty for eating cake for breakfast. Almost. The staff was nice and friendly enough. Most donut places throw in a few freebies when you buy a lot but I noticed they don't here. Just an observation and not reflective of my review. I've passed this place every morning to work but have never stopped in. It's a great local donut shop with a fun environment and I would definitely recommend it!

Decided to try this place out and get some donuts for the family on my way home this morning (7am) and I was pleasantly surprised! They had a nice variety of donuts and others baked goods! Also, the girl that was at the front helping me out was very nice and polite. Definitely coming back for more donuts!P.S. love that they're open so early!!

I love that they fill your donut freshly at request! The donuts are so soft & fresh! They have savory croissant, burrito, sausage donut holes - oddly delicious

I've been coming here since I was in high school. Now I take my babies there. Love this little shop and best glaze donuts ever!

Reminds me of a donut shop back home! Hard to find decent donuts considering the amount of donut shops in Fort Worth! Try this out and you won't be disappointed!

Stopped in for the first time and it won't be my last. This place had a great assortment of delicious sweets to choose from. I had their kolache and a chocolate sprinkled donut. They were friendly and quick!

This is a small donut shop filled with fresh baked goods that are prepared daily, making it an excellent take-out option for breakfast. They are more than your basic donut shop, offering breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, croissants, coffee, juices, sodas, and milk to name a few of their other options. They provide good food & friendly customer service. *While currently open daily, a mask is required to enter their building due to COVID.

Let start by I don't do much survey but its my pleasure taking the time to brag about this place, donuts and donut holes are Amazingly, delicious, fresh donuts filling is put at the moment you order them to eliminate the possibility of sogginess but that not all the pig in a blanket are super fresh and tasty wish they had a place like this in Florida donuts there wish they could taste like these. Let not forget the lady's they super kind, pleasant & professional. Picture missing donuts & pig in a blanket they didn't make it home.

BEST GLAZED DONUTS IN TEXAS!!! The glazed donuts at this shop are soooo delicious. Finally a shop that doesn't skimp on icing.
