My friend from Church wanted to meet here for our Bible Study. She loves this place! I can see why. This is such a cute diner. Its decorated with Stuff Animal Bear Cubs through out the Restaurant.They serve breakfast all day. It's a cute cozy feel. The Restrooms are clean. The service is excellent. They have a jukebox and Bear Cub merch in the store. We received a a complimentary Pancake while we waited for our order. The Pancake was large in size. It was crispy and fluffy dusted with Powdered Sugar on top.We had a New Hire for a Waitress. She rocked cute Pink Space Buns. She was really nice and explained the Menu as best as she could. She filled our drinks just at the right time. She told my friend she could have Berries on her Pancakes. However, the Manager came to our table and told us that Berries were an LTO. Limited time only so, she offered her a substitution. The manager was nice about and very professional about it Overall, the atmosphere is great and so, is the service. The prices are pretty high though. Check them out if you like high prices.

My friend wanted to meet at the Black Bear diner for dinner. I had kept meaning to try it out but hadn't made it yet. I am so glad that my friend recommended it. It has such a cute vibe and I felt like I was at a cabin in CA. When we got to the diner, we were seated immediately, even though one person from our party hadn't made it yet. Our waitress was amazing. She brought us waters and started answering questions about the menu and when my friend got there, she answered even more questions and helped guide me to breakfast. I loved it! I got an omelet with mushrooms and avocado, I also had potatoes and one of their huge pancakes. My kid got pancakes and beef tips and ate all of it. My kid and friend decided to get dessert and we found out it is not for the weak. It was a whole little pie. My kid ate about half and I helped, it was yummy but we still had to take some home, and you totally get a lot of goodness for the price.I have to come back to try more on their menu because it is huge and they are accommodating it you want to remove something or change the side it comes with it.

We went in on a Saturday evening and were immediately greeted and seated. We asked for a different booth after the waitress came because the area around us was loud. It was no problem at all. Both of us ordered fish and chips, extra crispy. I was able to exchange the fries for green beans without an additional charge. The food arrived quickly, hot and fresh. The quality and taste was good. The fish was cooked exactly as we ordered it. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and had bear decor everywhere. They were out of a few items but informed us immediately before we looked at the menu what they were. Good experience and we will definitely return.

My wife and I have been too many Black Bear diners up and down the West Coast. They have been very good. We are originally from New Jersey, so we miss going to a diner. This is not a New Jersey diner, but It is still a decent diner. Unfortunately this is our first Texas Black Bear diner. it did not really live up to the standards we were used to on the West Coast. First of all, there was no orange juice. I'm not sure I have ever been to a diner that did not have orange juice. My wife ordered grits and they certainly were not edible. it was mostly water. It probably needed another 10 minutes on the stove.Our waitress was very good and very nice. My wife made several substitutions and changes to her order, and they all came out exactly as she requested.

Went to this newly opened location of Black Bear Dinner and couldn't be happier. The staff was very friendly even though they were completely slammed with customers. My server was great and even gave me a cheaper option for what I was ordering. It's a bit small compared to other BBDs but the food was the same goodness. Just know if you go at peak times there will be a wait. With as many people going BBD is going to need to open another location. See you here soon.

Move over Waffle house, Big Bear Dinner is Changing the Breakfast menu to Higher levels. i just ate at my first Black Bear Dinner and Wow you're not leaving this place hungry. We have been wanting to try this place since they opened and we went for breakfast around 11. The wait was about 30 minutes and we were sat down. The server was attentive and she was super busy. I got the coffee which was really good and the egg breakfast that came w the biscuit. The biscuit was huge! The bacon was thick applewood smoked (guessing?) and had a great flavor. The breakfast potatoes were very good and honestly overall a great breakfast.My husband wanted to try the pancakes and they were also very good. My son is a bit picky so he got chicken strips which he rated "10 out of 10"
