Billy Can Can

This place felt very upscale Texan. I have heard such great things about this restaurant so decided to make a reservation to celebrate a friend's bday. It was a really great choice. Our server, Brittney (my spelling might be wrong), was the absolute best. She took such great care of us and made it such a pleasurable experience. But let me tell yall about the food! The appetizers were the best part to me. We ordered 3 different apps. The pulpo negro was delicious. My favorite thing out of everything that we ordered. The escargot Rockefeller was delicious. Some of the best escargot I have ever had. Pulpo puppies were great too. The house made thousand island and hot sauce were perfect. That hot sauce was so dang good that I got a little bottle of it to go. Entrees were good. I loved all of the wild game options. The lasagna was different in a really good way. We finished off with the Texas sheet cake even though we were both stuffed. We were celebrating a bday so we could not pass dessert up, lol. Very Ferrero Rocher like and a perfect way to finish a delicious meal. **PSA not related to the restaurant: parking did run me about $17 for 3 hours in the parking garage

Nice place to meet up for meal or drinks before an event at American Airlines Arena. This spot boasts an impressive selection of bourbons and brews. I opted for an Old Fashioned with Knob Creek, which was beautifully crafted. However, I was disappointed to find no cherries in the drink. As a cherry enthusiast, a muddled cherry is a must-have for me in a classic Old Fashioned. Perhaps I should have specified my preference upfront.My server was a friendly individual with a truly remarkable mustache! It was so impressive that I almost couldn't believe my eyes. I should have definitely taken a picture of it.

It was my most favorite meal I've had in a while!The service was perfect! Our waiter was fun and very knowledgeable about the menu.The space was decorated nicely but the good vibes made it! Our table had Hot Honey quail, whipped pimento cheese (on special), deviled eggs, shrimp scampi, ribeye, and pumpkin ravioli along with the cornbread and Brussels sprouts.While everything was really good...my favorite bites were the hot honey quail, pimento cheese and the corn bread!

Very nice decor and the one round of drinks we ordered were all tasty. Could have been a fun place to drink. Unfortunately, we tapped out after one round because of the world's most unfriendly/arrogant bartender. Hostesses weren't much more pleasant. Generally seemed like the staff was not taking much pleasure in their work. Not sure that I'd rush back.

I made a reservation on Resy because I tried calling and got no answer, but I knew there was a game at the arena. The restaurant is on a busy street, but I saw a valet nearby. I'm not sure how that works. The restaurant is close to the American Airlines Center, and I'm sure it gets busier if there are events, games, or concerts. Right when we walked in, we were greeted by the host, who was very warm and welcoming. It didn't take long to leave my seat. It was busy, but nothing crazy. It's pretty laid-back and gives chill vibes if you are coming with a group of friends to get food, have a good time, or chat. Not long after that, our server came to get the drinks order. We got a table by the window, which was excellent, and the food selection was pretty good, but we settled on Pumpkin ravioli because it sounded delicious. The chilly was also pretty good and flavorful. We also got the cornbread (My preference) about the cornbread. I liked mine more on the plain, but it was okay. The glass boot that the drink came in was adorable. We also got the sausages on the spicy side, the pickled and carrots, but I loved them more. I couldn't decide what I wanted, so I settled for the seafood salad, and let me say it was so flavorful, so good, I enjoyed it so much. I didn't need to add anything to it. Just delicious. The burger was also good, and the fries were just tasty and good We didn't ask about the dessert menu or anything, but I would return just for the seafood salad and Piña Colada.

Nothing makes me more happy than a Christmas Eve dinner at Billy Can Can. In what is now a family tradition for us, last night was no different. Had a fantastic time starting off with their famous egg nog (so good had to take 2 bottles home!) Appetizers were all on point, the venison tartare (quite possibly my favorite version of a tartare of all time), hamachi crudo. And for the holidays they had a crab bisque which was so hearty and warming and went perfectly well with a rainy Texas night. The Foie Torchon was just perfection with slices of apples and beautiful brioche to soak it up ahh!!! For entrees, we opted for the seafood bouillabaisse and the rack of venison. Both were fantastic but the venison was once again the absolute star!!!! We finished our meal with a yummy Texas sheet cake. Never change Billy! You are perfect as always!

Excellent food. Excellent service. Had the hangar steak with bone marrow butter. Fantastic!!! Close to American Airlines Arena.

This place was great. Probably the best steak I've had, maybe ever and I'm very critical of a good steak! My wife had fried qual that was also excellent. We had a duck leg appetizer that we weren't crazy about, but we don't eat a lot of duck legs so that may just be our tastes. The service was great and the atmosphere was up scale and pleasant. Would definitely reccommend if your looking for a great meal.

Service was great! I accidentally booked for the next day and not that night but they got us in and seated pretty immediately. Our server was really great! My friends that were in town visiting wanted to come here and they really enjoyed it! We got the deviled eggs which were really good, the cornbread and the flatiron steak! The steak was perfect! I personally thought the sauce was ok. I wish I got it on the side but my friend loved the sauce.

We husband and I came here for our anniversary--- we aren't from the area and always like to try quirky restaurants and the menu seemed unique. I had the wild boar lasagna. My husband had the prime rib with shallots. The star of the show was the cornbread... it was so moist and delicious and something you must try. We also had a couple other appetizers, but none of them really stood out. The wild boar lasagna was good, but I realize I'm not a fan of shredded meat, I expected ground meat, so I was off put by that. Still a unique dish. This elevated saloon is surely with a visit !
