I have been to my fair shares of ice houses, but I had never seen or been to one in Mansfield. I tried it out and it was a good time The menu offers a variety of drinks - beer, cocktails, signature drinks, etc. The bar inside is fully stocked. The menu also offers a variety of bar foodThe staff was helpful and attentive. The interior definitely has a theme of a sport bar catered to Cowboys fans. I try not to hold this against them as an Eagles fan. I will say that the patio is well-lit, trendy, and very inviting (nothing really cowboys related out there)Some tips:Try one of their signature cocktails. There are a lot of neat recipes, and they're worth trying. Also, if you want something to munch on, the wings are actually really good and are rather large in sizeCheers!!

I was excited to go here after reading some good reviews. Unfortunately we did not have a great experience. My wife and I came here for lunch in the summer of 2024. They have a parking lot and we did not have a problem finding a space. Host and server were very nice and attentive. Ambience has a nice sports bar vibe. We did not sit in the patio but it has a very inviting look with some warm string lights. I thought the best part was the menu. It had a great selection or bar, lunch and dinner options. Lots of fried stuff which I like. All looked very appetizing. We ordered the steak egg rolls, hang over tots, waffle fries and fried chicken sandwich. We felt the food looked good but as others have mentioned, was very bland. Just not enough flavor for us which is a shame. The worst part of our visit was the chairs. Very uncomfortable. Rigid metal seats that slopes inward causing it to pinch our bottoms. I will not be going back.

Initial review on 09/07/24.This is my updated review (12/10/24).After my first trip in September I was disappointed with the price of beer and the quality of our food.I thought "Let's give it one more try." So here's how it went....We went last week for Sunday football and to my surprise there was only one game on one of the televisions (They have like 12 tv's). I asked them to put some more games on but they were having difficulty getting the remote to work with the box. The waitress was super sweet and tried hard but no luck. We ordered burgers, and food for the kids. The food was just not good. I am not trying to say bad things about the cook, because I'm sure he's a cool dude, just not good food quality (which may be a result of the owner/manager-I don't know). My wife did not eat her food at all, and the kids ate half. Even they were upset with their food. I'll eat anything so of course I ate mine. Much like the last time I went here I was not happy with the prices so I didn't even order a beer. This may be the first time I've eaten and watched football and not drank a beer. Needless to say, this was the last straw for me and I will not be returning. I highly DO NOT recommend this place. There are just too many options in the area to settle for high prices and poor food.

Big Fellas Ice House is located off Broad St and Cannon serving the local community of Mansfield, TX good drinks and great food in a beautiful setting.I came through on a weekday and parking was a breeze due to the ample parking provided in the parking lot. As I walk in I was greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. The place was fairly crowded with guest watching one of the many TVs provided throughout the restaurant . I decided to sit at the bar and place a order for a cold draft of Dallas Blonde. They have beers on tap along with a full bar of alcoholic beverages with bottle's and cans of beer. After browsing through the menu and seeing burgers, chicken, and appetizers I decided to go with the Carne asada fries. The fries came out and looked and smelt great! They were nicely garnished with cuts of Carne asada along with Pico and sour cream. The cheese was a Blanco that was perfectly melted and had a nice consistency. The star of the show was the waffle cut fries as to they were deep fried golden brown and were perfectly seasoned and salted. The flavor profile of the meat was great while all the flavors mingled together. The only downfall I would say was the portion they gave of the meat. If anything I felt they held out on the portion control and slightly garnished the fries with a dash of steak and toppings.Overall Big Fellas was a good place to get local drinks and food however the prices are steeper and the portions are smaller.I ended up having 2 large beers and the fries and after the tip and bill this establishment definitely left a dent in my wallet.

Solid service and a big +1 for having significantly better than average sports bar food. We had lemon pepper wings that were hot & flavorable, solid queso and a really nice surprise was the brunch items including a fantastic breakfast wrap. Large bar area / energetic staff. Plenty of game-watching TVs but a pet peeve of mine is under-utilizing wall space with undersized TVs. This place also needs a Golden-Tee machine! Great addition to the Mansfield area.

Tried this place today at the suggestion of the Mansfield foodie group on Facebook and we were very disappointed. Lemon pepper wings were what we went for and even though they were served nice and hot and very crispy, but unfortunately had zero flavor of any kind, same with the jerk eggrolls. Place was almost empty and for a Sunday with a Cowboys game playing and every TV on that game that seems like it should've been an indicator from the minute we walked in. The service was excellent. They bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed and were on top of it, but unfortunately, we won't be back due to the food.

First time coming to this place and we enjoyed it! We tried several different appetizers and they were okay, definitely average bar food, we had the Mac n cheese bites , chips and queso , buffalo wings and fried pickles,..enough appetizers for two gals who just want to drink and chit chat about life, now the beer was cold and they have big beer pitchers 22ounces and deep ellum IpA on draft , they also had blood and honey but it was in a bottle and I just wanted a good IPA on draft! The waitress was so nice we really liked her, and our bartender was amazing! He made some Mexican candy shots and let me tell you they were sooooo good! You need to ask for them they have a chamoy and tajin rim and so yum! Mouth is watering! It's a new spot so I'll come back and try other appetizers, definitely having a Mexican Candy shot lol and a nice cold beer! It's a nice restaurant with Bar vibes and clean, lots of parking!

Great little addition to the growing area. It's nestled across from the golf course in a mostly residential neighborhood but will definitely become a regular in our rotation. They are on the smaller side but have a large bar and massive patio if the weather is nice. I assume the menu will grow as they open up the hours, but there was a nice variety, including Smashburgers, Birria, and a few salads if you want something light. The bar is already fully stocked with a decent amount of craft cocktails, including a San Antonio favorite, a Big Red Margarita. We started with the fried pickles, they have a light and airy coating, similar to a beer batter texture, but the pickles were thick enough to stand with it, and they were fried crisp. You can tell they make their own ranch, a gold star in my book, I could drink it. Food order included two smash burgers, the Buffalo Chicken Fries, Birria Tacos. The fries were unique, but in a good way - definitely would eat them again. Waffle fries, queso Blanco, and chopped up Buffalo Chicken strips drizzled with hot sauce and ranch, with sprinkles of crunchy bacon. The birria tacos were ok. The meat was great but would have liked them to be actually toasted. They had a floppy tortilla instead. Maybe throw a little cheese in there, too? The smash burgers were equally good. Super crisp patties, fluffy buns toasted golden, and fresh veggies. Our server, Ariana, was knowledgeable, attentive, and patiently walked us through the menu. The manager, Chad, stopped by multiple times to check on us as well! Try them out!

I enjoy this place so much. The live music and the food was good, there was a hiccup though, they did not put the cheese on my tacos, that was a disappointment. But no problem they took care of it.
