Bartley's Bar-B-Que

Grapevine, like the whole metroplex has become inundated with barbecue restaurants, and I have pretty much tried them all. Bartley's, a Grapevine original, is and has remained one of the best. Todays special was a Sandwich Plate, with 2 sides, for $8.99. You can choose any meat but their Chicken Breast is what's up! With it, I ordered fries and peach cobbler. Yum!The service at Bartley's is always great! Friendly folks serving up great food, what is not to like about that?The interior is pretty classical Texas barbecue joint. Nothing overly fancy, just wood and brick and a few horns hanging on the wall. It makes for a comfortable and down home ambiance to enjoy your meal.

We dine here frequently, last time was a week or so ago, just now getting around to doing the review!Let me start by saying we love Bartleys! While virtually everybody else charges (for barbecue) by the half pound, Bartley still charges by the pound... and their pound prices are typically less than everybody else half pound price!I also like that Bartleys has jalapeño cheese, hot sausage, which I cannot find in several other places. All of their sides are very good, the only thing that's missing is ice cream. Unfortunately, they are popular and the line, sometimes is long and moves slowly. But once you get to where you can order, they do an excellent job! They are located inside of a strip shopping center and are not open on Mondays. The interior is rustic, which fits with what they're doing. However, it's clean and well-maintained! It is hands down, my favorite barbecue place! If you want the best value you can possibly get for barbecue this is where you should go!

best overall flavor of bbq in the grapevine southlake area that I have tried. ribs are full of glaze and tasty, brisket? yummy... bread? delicious.. corn bread? oh my!! chicken? the best... I am definitely coming back.we order bulk, group of 10 people. and the meat guy was funny and nice.

Lunch time on a Wednesday, half chicken with a side of cabbage and a side of carrots. Chicken had good flavor, not a lot of smoke taste though. The cabbage was very good and carrots were not too sweet. The ice tea went down great with everything and the price was perfect!

Had 2 meat plate, brisket and jalapeño sausage. Honestly, the sausage was ok, but clearly store bought and the brisket was absolutely the worst brisket I've ever had in my entire life. Makes Dickies look like 5 star BBQ. I have no idea how you can mess up a brisket that bad. Also, I've had better potato salad out of a tub from WalMart. Just flat out flavorless. I have no idea where all these 5 star reviewers were eating. It was just awful.

I came here for dinner since my hotel was nearby. I did come here late (around 7:30 PM) so they were sold out of some items. I ordered the 3 meat combo plate which comes with two sides and bread (dinner rolls or cornbread). I chose the sliced brisket (marbled), smoked sausage, and pork ribs for the 3 meats. We also ordered the coleslaw, the mac and cheese, and the corn for sides. The brisket was a bit dry even though we didn't choose lean. The smoked sausage, the mac and cheese, and the ribs were delicious. The dinner rolls were buttery and fluffy. The coleslaw and corn tasted a bit old. The food didn't seem as fresh but we did come pretty late in the day. FYI - you get a free side when you order a combo meal with Yelp check-in.

When we pulled up to the Resturant there was a large family who had just eaten and said "get ready for a great dinner". This got us excited.The employees working the line were welcoming and obviously enjoyed being at work and serving their customers. The smell when you walked was amazing! The food on the line all looked fresh and they had a nice variety of sides.My husband got the three meat plate which comes with two sides and a roll. For under $15.00 it was a great value. I had the catfish basket served on Fridays only for $12.99. It is served with fries, hush puppies, and two sides. The catfish was absolutely delish. It came out piping hot, and the tarter sauce was also great. The fries unfortunately were pretty soggy. I did not eat them, and would ask to sub one of the sides from the line next time.Overall, this is a fantastic place for a filling value dinner. We both had enough to bring home leftovers for another meal.

My son and I grabbed lunch here on a whim - amazing! The meat melted in your mouth and the sides were true southern sides. The staff were so friendly. Can't get bbq like this in Denver and next trip, we'll be back!

First-timers, which is shameful since we've lived in Grapevine for many years. We each had a 2-meat plate: both with sliced brisket and one each of sausage and jalapeño sausage. I loved that the server asked for our preference for the leaner or the fattier part of the brisket. The meats were all delicious with ample portions, and the sauces and sides (cole slaw, mac & cheese, and pinto beans) were also very good. Prices very reasonable. Service was very welcoming and helpful. Dining area was clean, orderly and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Fantastic food and a more then fair price!! About the only place we go because it is great everytime! Look at this pile of meat, almost too much to eat at one sitting. This and two side is a way full meal. Can't wait to go back
