Backporch Drafthouse

We popped in for a couple beers and a quick bit to eat. They have a plethora of draft beer option and a full bar. We had the cheese fries which were amazing and the brisket sliders they were also good, not great. Would definitely order the cheese fries again, but not the sliders. The bartender was amazing very kind and attentive! All food and drinks came out very quickly. The vibe is very casual! We look forward to coming back! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Service was terrible, even though there were barely any customers. Waited over ten minutes at the hostess stand just to get recognized, even though the bartender looked up at us from her mobile phone several times. Sign said "wait to be seated," which was silly considering how dead it was in there. Waited nearly 40 minutes for our food; again, there were maybe four other tables in the restaurant and at least three waitstaff. The waitress blamed the long wait on the french fries taking a long time, but there was zero communication from her on anyone else stumbling about the restaurant that night. The appetizer came out with the burgers - why even call them appetizers? Several items were missing from our order, like the fried egg, and the side of bacon. Very frustrating. Had to flag someone down every time we needed something. Speaking of the waitstaff, their clothes were ill-fitting and looked like they had all slept in them, or not washed them in several shifts. Not a hygenic looking one among them, which is concerning when it comes to food service.Lots of TVs all over with lots of different sports on, which was nice. Not much in the way of decor beyond that, but it was OK for a sports bar.Prices weren't terrible for the quality of the burgers, but there wasn't anything else about our visit to raise the rating.

We've driven by this area so many times and thought to stop in, but never did until today. The place is nice and spacious, lots of bar top tables and booths. All the staff were friendly and helpful, our waitress was pulled away on something and we liked that another waitress came to check on us. We ordered the Urban Cowboy w/ their homemade chips, as recommended by our waitress, and it hit the mark. The burger was delicious! And the chips were better than the fries. I got their steak fingers w/ jalapeño gravy and have to say it was also very good but the smoked Gouda Mac bites are a must try. Everything was washed down nicely by their Cherry Limeade drink & my husband loved the Space Dust IPAWe ordered a few things to go for our boys at home- the brisket grilled cheese, patty melt & BOB burger, everyone was a fan!

On a Thursday afternoon/evening, we popped in. On YELP we had read the menu and got excited about the smoked jalapeno patty melt. The place was a sports bar, but I just didn't get that vibe. It was wide and spacious, cold and quiet. Maybe during a game it would be rocking, but there were games on (December bowl games) and nothing was happening here. There was some Christmas music faintly playing in the background, but nothing that said exciting.I'm not sure how long the waitress had been here, but she was very sweet. She knew nothing about the beer menu, or what was on draft. Whenever we asked questions about the menu, she had to go into the back and ask. When we prompted her for recommendations she finally offered an off-the-menu item called the "hot chick".We ordered the hot chick with fries, and the smoked jalepeno patty melt with chips. The fries were thin and cripsy, and the chips were underdone. The Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, aka Hot Chick, was not great. The bun was soggy, the chicken was greasy, and the "nashville hot sauce" was hot with pepper but horribly uneven, and as someone who loves hot stuff... I didn't enjoy it at all. The wife ordered a fried egg on her patty melt (YUM!) but it was broken and all the yolk was sitting on the tray when it arrived at the table, instead of on the sandwich (YUCK!). Pickled jalepenos thrown on after the sandwich was made did not make them smoked or delicious. I wish this place well but the service and food were barely medicore. Maybe I'll come back during a playoff game.

Bartenders were great and attentive. My husband said the burger was amazing. I had their wings which were very yummy, although I wish I requested extra crispy (I'm not a big fan of extra sauce).I'd recommend this place if you want to watch sports and listen to good music.

CHICKEN AND WAFFLES!!!! Oh my goodness, my family got to have brunch together because our original plans fell apart. I love it when what you THINK was going to happen doesn't and something even better does in its place. Backporch, it was meant to be! I had been over here for PJ's coffee but didn't notice it in the same strip until today. We started our meal off with the Bavarian pretzel which was served with cheese and mustard for dipping, amazing! Our food came out quickly too, not a bad waitime. I ordered chicken and waffles. Hubby ordered chicken fried steak. The biscuit that comes with his steak was the bomb!! I snagged some and devoured it. My waffles came with sweet strips of bacon on top, yum! The owner Kris even came over to make sure everything was correct and tasted good. He assisted the staff with bringing our food out as well, very cool. He was super friendly! I am just so happy to have chicken and waffles with my family on this fine Sunday morning. It was a delight :)

Met a friend for lunch. The restaurant is spacious and clean. Our server was attentive took great care of us. I had the cheesesteak sandwich, substituting shaved sirloin for the chicken. It was great! I'll be back!

We have now visited this location twice, both under the same pretenses....late dinner and drinks with good friends. Our first visit the food was bomb! Like we were already thinking about our next meal while driving away. Our second stop there was just okay....gravy and steak fingers just did not have the flair from the first time. Not sure how because these were only weeks apart. If you go here be sure to layer your clothing. Our first trip inside it was probably 55 degrees....no lie, my nose started running because of how fridges it was. I prepared myself for the second visit and I brought a small blanket to wrap around my legs. Only on the second visit was SO SO SO hot. My husband and the other two guys that were with us were pouring down in sweat. We asked for some relief from the waitress but she said the manager controls the thermostat. The drinks are the best part and they are on the upper crust of good.

service was good and prices weren't bad at all. the pollo fuego sandwich was so good!! great place for lunch

We waited 20+ minutes for a server and finally had to wave to get attention. Then, it was another 10+ minutes to get our drinks. Only got part of our drink order. More waving required to get the rest of our drinks. The server told us she was the only server! And it was a big football game night. That, in my opinion, is a management issue and I can't fault her, as she was doing her best to serve many, many people! So, not sure if we'll return if this is how they staff for a big game night. Too bad because the food was good (when it finally arrived).
