I know that they usually don't have the burger all in one piece but they don't have it like this usually. Smithfield burger.
I was told there should be around 4 ounces of meat or 0.25 pounds? They did not weigh the meat at least for me.

I LOVE Back Forty!! The restaurant feels like a local gathering spot. It is open and bright with plenty of seating. The service is great and staff friendly. The food is good! The lean brisket is VERY lean and I left feeling comfortable but not miserable. I've been here multiple times and it's always delicious!

Every time I come to this place they are not prepared. Today no lemons for tea no turkey no ribs and no banana pudding. It's 12:30 on a sunday. I will never come back. Staff is rude and lazy.

The service and portion sizes weren't great. The food was kind of cold. We came in after church (around noon) and we were surprised by how the food wasn't hot. And how the portion sizes of sides and stingy with the weights of the meat. Not sure we'll come back. The place looked cool except the booths. Watch your leg... I walked away with a hefty bruise on my quad as I tried to slide into the wooden booths.

Brisket was so moist and tender ask for lean and they had no problem trimming off fat. Dry rub ribs really did not need bbq sauce for they were so good and tender just enough moisture fall off the bone. Finger licking good. They had plenty sides to choose from, but knew it would be a take home for the sandwich and ribs filled me up.

I used to like this place, but it seems that their portions are not what they used to be. 18.00 for a minuscule pile of brisket and 2 little pork ribs VERY watery and inedible Mac and cheese ( seriously... macaroni noodle in cheese flavored water) and Cole slaw with no flavor which I couldn't eat at all was disheartening. I don't know if they got a new chef or what, but I probably won't be back.. this is Texas, I'm sure I could find a better place.. I don't mind paying a bit more for good food.. sorry..

Came in for lunch with my husband and I had small chopped beef and turkey plate with 2 sides which were the sweet beans and Mac and cheese. I loved both. So yummy. My husband had a baked potato with chicken and the fixings and he would recommend it also. We met the owner Mark and he was very nice.

I ordered a 3-meat plate to go with brisket, chicken, and sausage, with green beans and jalepeno Mac n cheese. The food was really good, and so was the service, which is why I'm a bit torn on this review. When I got home, I had a 2-meat plate - missing chicken. So I'm not sure if I paid for a 3-meat and got a 2-meat or what.Easy parking, and lots of sitting room. I'll have to go back and try again.

Great place! My husband and I stopped in on a late Saturday afternoon, and when we walked in, the place smelled like heaven! Food was delicious and the portions were just right. This is a favorite local spot for our family. Order two sandwiches one chop beef and pull pork. Sandwiches were good but smoke on the meats was very light. Their fries with their seasoning are always good, ask for extra. The quality is usually very good but today not as much. Will have to give another chance.
