Babe's Chicken Dinner House

Always a great meal!!! Never not fully satisfied!! Babes has the best chicken! Not to mention chicken fried steak!!!

Babes Chicken is always good. Chicken fried steak was on the menu for us tonight, so crispy, so big! Really like the bottomless bowls of veggies and gravy. Corn is a bit sweet, green beans have some southern style added to it, and the biscuits are yummy. This location is in a nice lake town with a beautiful town square. Inside it tall, somewhat dark. A lot of wood walls and ceiling area. Lot's of brown with low dimmed light, tho the music is a bit loud when the place isn't full. Very cool place! Will return when in the area.

The few babes I have eaten that have all been different. The food and service is not consistent

Delicious! A really good chicken or catfish dinner! The restaurant was super cute, and sold some delicious honey and sugar cane sauce, along with jams or preserves. The waitress was super nice, and gave us the whole run down. This is what we got: My sister and I shared the fried chicken dinner, which came with four pieces, drumstick, breast, thigh, and wing! The chicken was really crispy, seasoned, and juicy! Quality fried chicken! My dad got the catfish dinner, which was also super good, i liked the breading, and it had a good flavor/texture. It comes with ALL the sides, the potatoes were super buttery and good. The corn was really yummy, and i liked the greens! The biscuits were definitely my favorite, warm, fresh, and awesome with the honey! When im in town definitely going to come back!

Babe's is a favorite stop when the family is all together. The easy menu choices (which you can't go wrong with any of the options, though we are a fried chicken and chicken tender family), shared sides and nice space to visit and enjoy spending time together. Their service is always great, but Sierra was TOP NOTCH and we hope to see her again before she is off to school in the fall.

The service is terrible We also asked for a to go box and they handed us a plastic bag . Are your to-go orders in a plastic bag? Looked around and a few people had to go boxes so not sure why put our food in a plastic bag Will not be back

A trip to TX to visit family led us to Babe's. While the fried chicken might've been the best I've ever had, I do wish there was a healthy option. My niece, who is an avid runner, wasn't able to eat much because of the limited choices. Aside from that, the ambiance was perfect for the out-of-state family members who wanted to enjoy the TX spirit that the restaurant provides.

Great southern soul food and the service was amazing. My wife and I had chicken and catfish with all the vegetables. It was amazing the sorghum syrup for the biscuits was awesome.

Pretty meh for the price. Sure there's a lot of food, but REALLY mashed potatoes is critical. Service was solid. My smoked chicken was ok-I'd get either the fried chicken or catfish next time. Ambiences was definitely family oriented. I just wish they had REAL mashed potatoes.

What a neat stop! We actually got our meal to go so that we would have a great snack after a concert. We were so happy!
