Asian Star Buffet

$18 per person for all you can eat snow crab legs. What more could you want from an Asian buffet?? They even had crab legs in the dead of winter--we went in December and January. The Mongolian grill is also amazing (just ask for light sauce since they are pretty heavy handed). Just those two things alone are enough to get you your moneys worth.

Some stuff was good while others not so much. The Lo main, dumplings and chicken kabob sticks were awesome. The breaded shrimp, house rolls and peppered chicken was also pretty good. Everything else was bland at best. My wife liked the fruit salad with the marshmallows though. Also maybe add a dessert called Flan? It's very popular at the other Asian buffet we usually go to.

I had no idea that an Asian Star Buffet was on my side of the town? I am familiar with the location on Bryant Irvin Road. My friend, S.Parker suggested this Restaurant since, I wanted something quick. I'm so glad he suggested this Restaurant. The service was quick, the food was okay and the prices were pricey. Lol.It was really nice as you walked in, it was very clean and the Buffet Bars were well organized and well maintained. I didn't see any spills on the Buffet Bar nor, did I see any food over lapping. They had a variety of everything! American food, a Dessert bar, a Fruit bar, etc, etc. The place was huge and there are so many sections of places to sit. It's great for large families! I had the Orange Chicken and the Sesame Chicken.It was pleasant but, the Chicken was was a little soggy because, it had an excess of sauce. The Fried Rice looked undercooked but, it was delicious it was nice and salty with a lot of fresh chopped Carrots. They also had a Honey Glazed Chicken that was so delicious! I would definitely recommend that! They also had an oversized Fried Shrimp that was delicious. It was crispy and crunchy and warm and fresh! I ordered a Sprite and it did not taste too well, not sure what was going on there? They also have ice cream available which is not too sweet. It was just right! They have a Chocolate fountain as well. I wasn't sure if I could stick my ice cream under the Chocolate fountain so, I went around asking several people if I could but, all the people I asked could not speak English? It was sort of a let down so, there is a language barrier.Overall, it was a good experience and I would return. I will tell all my friends about it! So grateful, for my friend, S Parker who treated me to lunch.

The building is clean and the staff is friendly. The food is terrible. They refilled some chicken while we were there and it was literally raw on the inside. The Mongolian grill is ok but don't get the beef because it is very poor quality and almost impossible to chew. The selection is mediocre. The spring rolls were good. The food was an acceptable temperature but it just doesn't have any flavor. I wouldn't go back.

The place is bright and clean but the food is mediocre at best. There were no chicken wings and the chicken they had was overcooked and dry. Nothing special about any of it. I won't be back.

Always tasty freshly prepared and temperature consistent. Wait staff is polite and respectful. I'll be back!

The food is good but they need to work on keeping it warm. A little high priced, but good food as always.

New review for newly opened restaurant. The quality of the food is great compared to any other chinese place in the area. The inside looks clean and remodeled. The service provided was great as well. I definitely recommend this place.

This place is subpar. We were seated next to the wait station with a cart of dirty dishes. The layout of the restaurant is weird. It felt like we were seated away from people. Selection was not good. The orange chicken was questionable. The dinner price is $18 per person and there's not much different than puny crab legs. We will not be returning.

Very diverse food and dishes all great. Restaurant was very new,clean and spacious. Service and staff very friendly and helpful.
