A solid neighborhood spot that truly does it all! Whether you're craving hibachi, sushi, or traditional Asian dishes, this restaurant has you covered. It's the kind of versatile place that's perfect for any occasion--whether you're in the mood for a lively hibachi experience, a casual sit-down meal, or just grabbing a bite at the bar.The ambiance is moody and dark, creating a cozy, intimate vibe that works for both date nights and group dinners. No matter where you're seated--whether it's at the hibachi grills, a table, or the bar--the service is consistently quick and efficient, which I always appreciate.I ordered the chicken teriyaki, and it was spot on: flavorful, juicy, and served in the perfect portion size that left me satisfied but not stuffed. It's clear they put care into every dish, whether it's something simple or more elaborate. If you're looking for a reliable neighborhood restaurant with a wide-ranging menu and great service, this place definitely delivers!

Came here for a leisurely meal with a visting friend. We ordered from the sushi menu and we were quite pleased with what we ordered. I got the agedashi tofu and it was extremely well-made, the tofu was silky and not over-fried. I got the salmon bomb as my main dish, and it was excellent! Thr flavors work well together and it's filling enough to be a small main course on its own. We did save eoom for dessert and I got some green tea ice cream, which was quite good. Service was a little slow, but we didn't mind as we wanted to hang out and talk anyway. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the hibachi menu!

Good for date night or group dinner. We had a group of 11 and you can seat up to 12. Variety of options and everyone enjoyed their main meals. Only complaint was starter soup was below par. Service and presentation were enjoyable.

I've been going to Asahi for years. I'm never disappointed. The food is always good. The filet in my opinion is the best thing on the menu! Scallops were good as well as the lobster. We went on a Monday evening, so there weren't a lot of other big groups at the hibachi tables, which was nice. It was a little quieter than normal.

We love Asahi! This cozy hibachi restaurant is definitely Flower Mound's finest! They have a great selection, and the restaurant is lively and fun! The service was excellent and the food delicious. They also offer sushi and other Japanese cuisine in addition to hibachi. My husband and I dined here for Christmas Eve dinner, and I wish I would have gotten the hibachi chef's name because he was the best hibachi chef that we have ever had in any restaurant. He was cordial, funny, efficient, and the food tasted amazing! Also, his tricks were fabulous...and not too loud. And something he did that I have never seen before...he did a few tricks AFTER we all had our food (just before cleaning the grill)! We loved that! Thank you for such a delicious and memorable meal!

Had the teppenyaki Salmon lunch portion with fried rice and it was good. Not the best I've ever had, but reasonably priced for a lunch stop. The salmon was cooked the perfect temperature but had no additional seasonings on it whatsoever. Had to use the sauces provided to battle the blandness. The veggies were cooked perfectly as well... I wasn't impressed with the fried rice which sucks considering there is a 2.00 upcharge for it from steamed. It was brownish and had pretty much no egg in it. Tasted like it was cooked strictly using used pan oil. Will likely give this place another shot one day, next time for sushi tho.

This was an excellent Teppanyaki place, I had soup, salad, fried rice, sautéed veggies, and New York steak. I could have passed on the soup (it was really bland), but the rest of the meal was pretty exceptional. Service was great, hibachi chef really took time to keep kids engaged in what he was doing. The outside of the restaurant looks great, and if the inside catches up at some point I'm sure it will look amazing. Don't skip out on Asahi if you're looking for a the hibachi experience!

Ordered 2 rolls. I didn't like either one. Tasted old and dry. Service was friendly and atmosphere was nice.
