Alright now, I've heard so much about this place, I HAD to try it. Finally, I did! As a whole, I'm not a fried chicken or fried fish person, but, I was willing to try this at least, once. Two piece chicken - The chicken (wing/thigh). It was so juicy, fresh, seasoned, and so good!! Fried Fish: My goodness, talk about fresh fish. I can't stand fish that tastes like it was frozen. I do not like catfish, but if I have to eat catfish and fried catfish, I want it to taste like this. It was fresh and perfectly cooked. Their food is cooked to order, so be prepared for a wait. The service is great, it was my first time to visit and he did a great job with helping me figure out, what worked best for me. I don't like greens, but I heard they're really good, so I'm going to take a leap and try those next. I'm happy I fell for this hype, you all need to do the same!

Although they do not have a consistent cashier, I was greeted by a wonderful man with a huge smile & Happy to answer my questions!Being from Chicago, I have high expectations for fried chicken & When I say this is some of the BEST I've ever had!!!!!!!!! & when I was looking at the screen they have that shows pictures of the food, I saw a saucy wing. I asked about it & was told it was their house sauce that is sweet & spicy, I asked for it to be added & I'm glad I did!! It reminds me of a "mild sauce" but honestly, it's the best one I've had!The macaroni & cheese + yams also hit the spot! The Mac is very rich, creamy & flavorful. The yams I was honestly skeptical about because I didn't see any cinnamon or brown sugar (my favorite toppings), I was worried about the flavor. But I promise, I was NOT disappointed!! Listen, whenever you're in the area, go ahead & bless yourself with this food from the soul. I'm already planning my next visit

Just had take out from there for the first time. One word: Legit!Had the 4 piece with Mac n cheese & okra as my sides. Everything was top notch. Fried chicken was crispy, tasty, and super juicy! Mac n cheese is super cheesy, love it! We will be back SOON!

First review of 2024! My lady and I decided to try a new restaurant once a month this year. Arlanderz was first in the list as we desired some fried chicken with fixins. The food was so-so, nothing about this meal left me with that wow factor. They definitely have potential with a few minor adjustments, but for the most part, it was something new. I don't know where this place has been the entire 5 years I've lived in TX BUT I'm glad I stumbled upon it today!!! All my husband and I could do was chew and shake our heads!!! This food hit the spot! It was hot, fresh, and seasoned. I don't think you can beat the price anywhere. The portion size was great too!!! The man was kind and very patient! There aren't many seats on the inside. 100 out of 10!!!!

First of all, the food here is amazing. Hand down some of the best fried chicken and catfish I've had in the DFW area! The pieces are really well fried, flavorful, and juicy. The Mac and cheese was appropriately cheesy and was well seasoned, and the okra was also good (although I wish it could've been a bit better). The portions are big enough to split with another person or save some for a second meal. Don't be fooled, the food is so good but it is rich and heavy! The place itself is super tiny and most people took their food to go. There is a wait to get the food so order in advance. This is not a sit down restaurant or a place to bring a large group. For this purpose, I really wouldn't recommend it for lunch for a group. But if bringing back to place of work, then it's ok. As far as value, I thought it was a bit on the high side, I think I paid around $25 (I tipped although I took away) for lunch. Next time, I would rather order a la carte and share with a group of people.

Lord Jesus thank you for directing me to this place. I ordered my food online and the male that took the order was so nice, I really didn't care how the food tasted. I ordered the three piece dark with two sides. The environment was quaint and nice and again upon arrival they were friendly. My food was served piping hot and I received an extra piece of chicken (I didn't need it but I appreciate it). I ordered fried okra and they were delicious. I didn't even make it out the parking lot before eating the meal. Note: there is sitting inside.

I was in the area and was looking for a quick fish spot and found this place. The food was so good. Nice and hot. The price to food ratio was good.

Great service, fresh food and good portions. Fish was hot and crispy, good flavor on the collards. Great soul food for the area.

Placed a large pickup order (to feed 8). The food was ready in under 30 minutes and all was still warm by the time it got to the house. The customer service was great and food packed with care. The food was delicious and flavorful. The chicken was incredible and the catfish is a must get. Highly recommend Arlanderz anytime in the HEB area.
