What a wonderful historic venue for special events! I have attended the holiday home tour, teas, luncheons, fundraisers, craft shows, and meetings with guest speakers. The home is beautiful and offers so many options for different event set ups. The volunteers who manage and take care of the home are dedicated to preserving the house. Their devotion to the home is contagious. I challenge anyone who visits not to fall in love with the charm of the Alexander Mansion. It is a wonderful place and a treasure of Dallas history.

We used Alexander Mansion as a venue for my husband's work party. It was truly lovely evening! The house itself is very beautiful and adds such a special touch to any kind of event. I would definitely recommend this venue.

We were married here years ago. The President at the time was VERY helpful. The Mansion is a special place. The Dallas Woman's Forum a non-profit organization that has been in existence since 1906. The mansion is beautiful and unique. It is one of the 2 remaining homes on silk road. The members do care and do want your event to be a positive experience.

I would recommend this venue for picture taking only!!! The food was horrible, it was over cooked and it was a big deal to have the exact count for the amount of food bought. 100 guest 100 plates, if your over on your guest count they won't set your food out until your down to the exact count. Once the money and contract is signed everyone is all of the sudden evil. The amount of money we spent was neither worth the time nor the unseasoned/overcooked food. Everything seemed rushed, so if you do not want to rush through pictures, cake cutting etc pick a venue where you can take your time and not feel so pressured. This is your special day and you do not want to look back and talk about how horrible things were. The coordinator seemed nervous, unorganized, did not tell my guest they could utilize the patio instead everyone was going out the front door!!! One of the young ladies that was over the bar was rude and did not smile at all. We paid for 70 glasses of champagne and we were supposed to get a bottle of champagne free that they advertise in their brochure!!!. My father over heard and saw the young lady tell her assistant not to open another bottle "they don't need it" you don't get what you pay for...they get over on you if you don't watch out for such things. They kept food in the back as if they bought it. It seemed odd that there were only 2 pans of food out for 100 guests. I got into it with the owner a week before my wedding day, so stay far away from this place. Overall I enjoyed the elegant view in my pictures!!!

My brother got married here back in March and I was not only part of the family but the bridal party. The place was ok, decorations were their basic decorations, food can't really speak of as none of it looked good and the only thing that I went after was the fruit and veggies which I was called for pictures just after I sat down with my small plate and it disappeared before I was able to come back. Punch was weak tasted very watered down. Pictured were beautiful but the photographer seemed to be following my sister in law around as she was getting some extra shots for the couple and taking the same shots because they were good shots that she was getting. To top it off I think the wedding coordinator was trying to score more business for herself and the place because just as my sister in law was tossing her bouquet she had the nerve to ask me if I was married... SERIOUSLY!! Glad I didn't get married here!
