Forgot to take pictures but will save this for next time. I am Japanese and have been on the hunt for a decent Cha Han (Japanese fried rice) in my five years of living in Seattle. Tonight my prayers were answered (I was beginning to give up hope). We ordered Cha Han, Tempura Udon and Bento Box. Everything tasted like my memories of eating in Japan. The most authentic Japanese comfort food I've had in America. They even have Japanese inspired spaghetti which I never thought I'd find here.

We ordered the Oyaku Don to go since we were heading to the airport for a red eye flight. They packaged it so neatly that it didn't spill a drop. The employee working was very informative and had a lot of suggestions regarding the take out. I wish we had more of an appetite to dine in, because it looked like a cute place on the 2nd floor overlooking a rainy Chinatown. The entrance is a stairway up near a small video game store and some offices.

This place brings back so many memories! Curry Katsu, karage, hamburger steak, and tempura were all still really good! One thing that changed is that it isn't as crowded as before (which makes me a little sad cause I hope this place stays for a long time). Service was pretty good and food came pretty quickly. I will always be a loyal customer to Fort St George.

Looking for a place to eat after a soccer doubleheader at Lumen field, I was craving something hearty and satisfying. I decided to check out Fort St. George, which is about a 10 minute walk from the stadium. Located above a nondescript nail salon and travel agency, the restaurant is easy to miss unless you know what you're looking for. At the top of the stairs, you're greeted by a no-frills dining room filled with diners enjoying heaping plates of hearty Japanese food and pitchers of beer.I ordered the chicken katsu curry over spaghetti, which sounded like an odd combination but turned out to be amazing. The golden curry evenly coated the spaghetti noodles, creating a savory and delicious dish that hit the spot. The katsu was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and there was a perfect ratio of sauce to noodles to katsu. The only downsides were that the delivery of order items may vary - my meal arrived about 10 minutes before everyone else's at my table - and I wish the curry had more carrots (I only had one chunk). Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and am definitely adding Fort St. George to my list of restaurants to visit the next time I'm in the area.

Been here twice and absolutely enjoyed it each time! FOOD:Shrimp and Mushroom Doria - I highly recommend the Doria dish! It's sort of like a risotto with a more umami flavor to it. Karaage - A really good crunch to it! And honestly one of the better karaages that I've had in Seattle. Meat was juicy and not dry which is always a good sign. Katsu don - Can't go wrong with a simple dish like this. I only had a bite of it from my boyfriend's dish but it was yummy and as expected! Each of the dishes that I've tried were very delightful :) I can't place my finger on it but it's sort of like comfort food (at least to me). Pricing for the food was also fairly decent! Portions aren't ginormous but they are enough to leave you satisfied. SERVICE:Quick! We were seated pretty easily considering it was dinner time. I do think it's due to the fact that the place is spacious with lots of tables and it's also sort of hidden in Chinatown.AMBIANCE:A darker environment with low lights. It gives off bar vibes or casual eateries on a late night. I really like this place even though it may look a little run down. It has a cozy feeling to it :)

I actually heard about it on one of the food tours with the Wing Luke Museum and finally got to try recently. I was told (and it feels like) a neighborhood institution, iykyk. It's upstairs, so you might totally miss it if you weren't looking for it! I got the cod roe pasta and my partner got the shrimp scallop Doria. We also shared the takoyaki and 2 skewers. Everything was great! I would come back for the pasta and to try more dishes. Kinda random, but my partner got a hot green tea and it came out in this huge pitcher with a stopper which was cool. The tea was very light and earthy, which I liked. It def hit the spot for a late night comfort meal and I'm excited to go again!

This place is good! We went to Fort St. George on Christmas Eve 2023 and had a great meal. The menu wasn't what I was expecting, but there were some solid entrees and we all enjoyed our meals! They offered a Ketchup noodle dish that was wild and very memorable! I had a spaghetti dish with garlic mayo and I was obsessed. This place is kind of hidden away, but it's a guaranteed good meal!

Fort St. George is located on the second floor of the 601 S King St building - truly a hidden gem. On a weekday dinner, the restaurant had a nice dimly-lit, relaxed atmosphere and great views of the heart of International District. The service was excellent and the Japanese comfort food were delicious. We each ordered a tempura udon and potato croquettes. I hope to come back to try their omurice, curry, and spaghetti. I consider the price point relatively higher than average for the area.

Looking for some Japanese comfort food? Look no further because Fort St. George is here!I've been coming here since 2019 and I've been consistently ordering the Doria and the Omurice, both of which are extremely delectable.Yesterday, I ordered- you wouldn't guess.. the Omurice. The soft omelette paired with the savory ketchup fried rice with bits of chicken inside made for a fulfilling dinner that made my tastebuds dance for joy. I will always order this dish time and time again. If you're a sweets lover, I highly suggest ordering the cream soda! I had the melon cream soda and the ice cream on top was delightful. As the ice cream melts into the soda, this drink becomes a sweet melon soda float. The ambiance of this restaurant is small and modern. It can get quite busy, but for good reason! To access Fort St. George, you will go upstairs in the building where Pink Gorilla retro video game store is. I like the area where this restaurant is located. If you get a window seat, you can get a nice view of Hing Hay Park! The service was A1. The staff is friendly, patient and attentive. I loved that they regularly filled my water and checked in. The food was so good I did not leave a single spec of leftovers. I highly recommend this restaurant for a casual dinner with friends, family or even dates! When you're in Chinatown, make sure to stop by, you will not be disappointed.

Second time to this place. The restaurant was spacious. Even though one side of the restaurant was pretty full of customers, we were able to find a big table on the other side.We ordered warm sake, cream soda with melon, freshly squeezed salty dog, gyutan shioyaki, omelet, vegetable tempura, bacon & mushroom doria, tempura ice cream. All the drinks and food were delicious. The omelet was to die for with the Mentaiko on top. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. They served our dishes very efficiently. Prices were still very good given the inflations nowadays. We two each paid $66 after taxes and tips.We luckily found parking on the street.
