Foodland Mercado

Since it has changed hands from FoodLand to Manolo Farmers Market, there are some great changes but at a price, literally! It has, however, added allot of great gourmet items including a ceviche bar, sushi made on site and a tortillaria with homemade corn and flour tortillas! Not we will see if the locals are going to support the upgrades vs the price increases! I am not sold on the expensive nature of the beast yet so I'm going to Northgate instead for some better pricing and basically the same offerings!!!

I shop in this market off and on. Overall it's well stocked with plenty of vegetables, fruits, dairy, breads, and canned goods; it is a nice size grocery store. What I like most about this market is the meat counter. Their meat selection is very good. I liked to purchase the pork spare ribs and have the butcher slice them in halves the length of the ribs. Each time of course we have a language block and a third party is needed to explain what I want. Everyone is always friendly and helpful and they have good customer service.

Wow! Tacos on fleek here !!! This review is for "tacos" ...John is the manager of the store told me that they have a new Chef and to try their yummy tacos I said okay I'm coming over and he was right I was literally in love with the tacos! Lol highly recommend the tacos al vapor !!! It was perfection !!! Meat was tender juicy and tasty! I was excited to write this review because I want you to try it;) Tacos are $1.00 only on Thursdays wow! The tortillas are soft and goodah!!!Overall friendly staff and Chef too;) Foodgasm Foodporn !!! Ohmygawd I can't wait to come back soon. Literally I'm stuffed yummy carnitas tacos too. I had 4 tacos. I need calming tea lol. This is a clean grocery store and well stocked. They sell meat and produce and groceries. And don't forget to stop by at their "Cocina " the food section and also try the best pork recipe with green chiles n red sauce I forgot the name but my faves. Try it! You'll thank me;) Store hours they open at 6:00am-11:00pm. Happy tummy ;) Que Rico!!!

This place blows and can't wait till some big corporate market takes over. Seriously I rather pay a few bucks for better customer services and improved quality of food. I try to avoid this place like a plague but it is very close to​ my home. Fruits/vegetables will not last past a few days. The meat looks like it has been sitting there for weeks. Good luck trying to get help from the meat counter usually one person working and you will be ignored as much as possible. The worst part is the cashier ladies. They are horrendous especially the young latina with the big cheeks. She hates her job and gives everyone the stink eye. She starts ringing one person and doesn't wait or help bag the groceries. She just starts scanning the next customer and all the items get mixed up. Ownership needs to get their shit together. Just because is the hood it don't mean we have no sense of customer service.

Went yesterday at 9:45 pm and was not let in, the cashier had a line and when she went to the door to open it for a customer leaving I asked her and she said it was closed and I said but its 9:45 pm and you don't close till 11pm and she said "we are closed" in spanish and I said really? I see a line at your register, I just need to grab milk and she said "we are only open for the customers inside the store not outside the store". Very rude woman, I'll just go to the liquor store in the corner because they are much nicer and open till midnight, with that crappy attitude I'm surprised she works with customers.

This place is not the Dream. The only reason I give it 2- Stars is because at least I have a close market in my local neighborhood. Terrible meat selection.

If I could rate this no stars I would they have expired baked good from aug 6-16 today is the 20th I told the lady and she said she will have someone look at them and that it wasn't the first time someone complaint about it . Why still put them out ? This place is a law suit waiting to happen ! I don't know who took over but it use to be a nice store like 10 years ago place is disgusting they have more expired stuff on the shelves too . STAY AWAY from this place !

Foodland is as OG, as a market gets. Carne Asada? CheckPan dulce? CheckFruits & Veggies? Check Hot foods, cold ready-mades, and a juice station now??? Checcckkk Lastly, I don't even want to share this but, they still have Sriracha chili sauce on their shelves. That alone gets 5 stars.

Don't ask for an ice cream cone the ice cream is to frozen to serve . Wth?? To the owner of this store FYI it's the employees attitude who are making you loose all your customers. I have Been going to this store since it was Food Palace and never had I seen it so lonely like yesterday. All I wanted was a Pistachio ice cream cone & the lady serving there was just to rude I had to walk out. The employees need to re-learn what the meaning of customer service is.

They be so stingy with the serving portions. What the f is this? They used put atleast 2 big scoops but I got 1 scoop. Do better! Stop being stingy towards loyal customers. Not to mention they cross contaminate a lot! Why is this store still in business?
