I finally cave, for the longest time I did not respect the Food Terminal. The extensive menu reminded me of Cheesecake Factory and thus I considered it the Asian Cheesecake Factory. Alas I'm here to give FT its flowers, I haven't dined in in a while however I've been ordering delivery through Grubhub and it's been wonderful. Wonderful that it's normally free delivery on GH and there is an extensive menu for when I'm not feeling La Mei Zi, Thai or Hai Chinese. I will definitely give it a shot in person some day to check it out when it's fresh vs delivered.

New menu with a lot more Malaysian dishes. Menu had more pictures of the new dishes along with more detailed descriptions. Our server, Axel, made sure we were taken care of by checking on us often. I ordered the Curry laksa spare ribs in noodle soup upon Axel's recommendation. Very flavorful and just the right amount of spiciness. Could definitely tell that it was Malaysian curry. My friends both had Grandma's bbq pork, their favorites. We always order Achat and Gailan whenever we go. I only know of one other restaurant that has Achat on their menu. I wish I could find it in the grocery stores. For desert, I had my usual, Mango Fever and the friends tried the coconut ice cream. Both said the coconut was the best they've had. The noise level was really loud on this visit as we sat towards the back. For some reason, the kitchen staff seemed to be tossing and slamming dishes the entire lunch hour. I know that sound carries because of how the ceiling is open, but was it really necessary to hear the dishes being slammed?

This venue has 30 ft ceilings so it is easy to spot from the street but the inside does not have multiple floors. They have a nice patio area as well. There are other restaurants connected to the building. The building is extremely clean and looks brand new.They share a parking lot with a strip mall. Parking looks cramped but you will easily find a spot. Service was not astounding. They have a robot that delivers food but my food was delivered by a person. I only saw my waitress a couple of times and could not get a refill on water.I love their menu. They have a very big menu that is made bigger because they use plenty of pictures so people can see what the items look like. I wish more restaurants would do this.I ordered the Ugami boa and the honey garlic shrimp noodles. The ugami is eel and boa is a slider sandwich. This was delicious. The honey garlic shrimp noodles are what this place is known for. The meal was decent but nothing special.

Some of my favorites here are the lump crab noodle, the Bak kut teh, the garlic bone marrow noodles, the eggplant, and the mango sago dessert. While the food is pretty good and the service is quick (they deliver your food via robot), the prices have just really jumped over the years. It's still good, I just think it's a little pricey for no reason.

Second time to Food Terminal, and it won't be my last.I ordered some repeat items (mango tofu and Chinese broccoli). These were my favs. The mango tofu is such a strong dish IMO. My one complaint is that there's too much sauce. But the soft and sweet mango paired with the spongey tofu just hits the spot. The bell peppers add some earthy contrast and the sauce is the cherry on top. Get a scoop of everything with some rice and you'll want for nothing. The Chinese broccoli is a seemingly simple dish but that's kind of what I love about it. The broccoli was fresh and not overcooked. The umami in the sauce and crunchy topping make it the perfect side dish. We also had veggie samosas and zha cai tofu. These weren't my favorite. I've had much better samosas and actually prefer full-sized ones to the mini ones served here. That being said, the curry dipping sauce paired with them well.As for the second tofu dish, I feel like the marinade that it's sitting in is not absorbed by the silken tofu at all. The pickled sauce on top has a great flavor and if you get that on a chunk of tofu, then it's pretty satisfying. Ambience is nice. The space is large and clean. And the extra fun is that you get your food delivered by a robot.

Think of a fun fusion vibe spot with robot table side delivery. Ample inside seating. Service is warm and friendly. Order on paper menu. And it is an elaborate menu. I ordered a tofu bao and vegetable daal. Food was rather quick and tasty. I will definitely return.Part 2 I came back and May waited on us. She is phenomenal!!! This time we tried the new fried rice.

The food is phenomenal and brings back memories of my upbringing. Some of my favorites is grandma's noodles and Hainan chicken...then again you can't go wrong with any of the items.
