Based on the Murfreesboro, TN location. Was looking for the dish/soup Pozole Verde and based on recommendations found out El Cubilete offered the dish. I did visit a year ago and wasn't really impressed, but everyplace deserves a second chance. I was greeted by Nicole who got me seated and brought some homemade chips & salsa with my beer. I ordered the Pozole Verde (chicken version) and when she delivered it the bowl was HUGE. On the side you can add onions, jalapeños, cilantro, etc. to customize the soup to your tastes and heat level. I did find it odd that they gave you lettuce versus cabbage which is what is normally provided. My experience with Pozole is limited but this soup was delicious. The broth/base was hearty and flavorful with just enough heat to allow you to enjoy the various flavors but not overwhelming the soup. The hominy was perfectly cooked al dente and the chicken was large chunks of tender white meat nicely seasoned. I might have made it through half the bowl and took the rest home...I can't wait to see how it tastes after sitting overnight. This is a really good soup and is a meal designed to fill you up. I'm very glad I came back again, the food was great and the service from Nicole was wonderful! My thanks to the young ladies who graciously (and secretly) picked up my dinner tab tonight...very kind of you and greatly appreciated. I will pass forward your wonderfully kind act.

This is authentic Mexican food so don't look for a basket of chips and salsa when you arrive. They don't even have salsa. I am grateful because those chips are hard to resist. My companion ordered chips and they looked fresh, almost like pita chips. I thoroughly enjoyed my huarache, which formerly was a sandal or sneaker in my experience. The waitress was lovely.

Just like the Madison location this place is amazing! Honestly I have not been to another place that impresses me as much. The food is very authentic and you can really tell how much they care about it. I have been to so many places that are trying to be Tex-Mex or Nash-mex and failing miserably by using the same cookie cutter recipes and ingredients. This place appears to have their own recipes, and their own sauces with actual hot sauce that has a kick! If you want something different than the usual Nash-Mex I highly recommend you hit up El Cubilete!

I visited Fonda Cublete during lunch. The restaurant is renovated, and the owner is very friendly and helpful. He recommended the pork spine soup. We were given an English menu. The soup came with a ton of shrimp, tortillas, slices, and onions. It was similar to menudo, but more American pallet friendly. They had a decent amount of customers at the time we went, but it wasn't too busy. There are a few other menu items I would like to try next time.

Safe to say the best authentic Mexican restaurant I've been to in Nashville! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful to those unfamiliar with dishes. I will definitely be coming back! Try the flautas, any of the soups especially the one with the pork neck and shrimp, and also for kids they have really delicious quesadillas! I recommend having the Fresca con cream and any aguas frescas!

This is an authentic Mexican restaurant so expect even better tasting cuisine here. Don't let the location or the no frills ambiance fool you. The location actually has better Mexican than anywhere I have tried in Nashville. There are several on Nolensville Rd I recommend. But back to this place...they have corn tortillas made from scratch (not store brand). I'm not afraid of trying new things but if you're not into that you should ask them what it is in English . I had the fajitas Cubilete and it was so good. At 12 dollars a plate.. what a deal! The nice man who served us told me to try the Pollo Poblano. I will come back and try that dish next time. If you like Mexican beer give the Victoria a try!

Staff was attentive.Menus in Spanish and English too. They are known for the BEEF Stew as well as Fajitas. Not Cheap, alittle pricey for lunch. But Fresh ingredients and good food !I would have been happy with half the food for about $7.50 fyi.No Lunch specials noted...
