Recently we were looking for a place to eat when in Seattle on a Wednesday night, and so we stopped in at Fogón. We didn't have a reservation, but we got a table within about 10 minutes. Overall, we really liked it!Here is what we noticed: - They bring each person a small complementary starter to the table instead of providing a bowl of chips and salsa.- We ended up ordering chips and guacamole anyway, and the chips were really great as was the guacamole, even though the guac cost eight dollars.- We both ordered a house margarita, which came in individual cocktail shakers with small salted rimmed glasses. It was good, but I couldn't really taste much tequila in it.- I ordered the Chili Relleno and my wife ordered the Sopitos, two with Carne Asada and one with Pork. The Carne Asada was especially good...I think next time I would order the Carne Asada plate.- Inside vibe is really fun...a bit loud at the front of the place but we were sitting in the back so we were great.- Service was good.- Entree prices seemed very reasonable to us.Bottom line: Really tasty food, great atmosphere, upbeat/fun vibe...we'd go back!

This place was super delicious. A colleague from California who moved to the Seattle area recommended this place as having authentic Mexican food. You know it's legit when you walk in and there is a person hand making tortillas in the front!I didn't make a reservation ahead of time even though it was early on a weekday, but we checked in and they told us we could go to the bar to wait. We ordered the house margarita and I was thinking "oh this is a tiny glass" but then it comes with the full pitcher that was definitely more than a single margarita. The service was very helpful and the place was full of people enjoying their dinner. My entree was a good size though we did regret not ordering appetizers since those also looked delicious!

First time here. Let's talk food first...I ordered the fried tilapia. It was flawlessly cooked - tender on the inside and the crispy coating was perfectly seasoned. Exactly what I've been looking for since moving to Seattle. The Ceviche was a burst of fresh and vibrant flavors. Each bite was a symphony of zesty citrus, succulent seafood, and crisp veggies. Ambience...Our party arrived at 4:30 on a Friday, greeted by a beautifully decorated space. However, the subdued lighting and high noise level presented a challenge in having a conversation. While the aesthetic was pleasing, the overall atmosphere leaned towards being dark and loud. Notes they were will return but when it's brighter inside.

Fogón it's one of the best Mexican restaurants here in Seattle. Amazing ambient and personal, if you happen to be in the area, ask for Erick. He is solid and will take care of you. We are closing this place down tonight.

Food was good but the spiciness level on the complementary tostada really didn't agree with me! I also ordered the street tacos with carne Asada and al pastor, and the mole enchiladas. Guacamole and chips were good - the chips were warm and tasted very fresh. The ultimate margarita was a little weak-

Been here twice and enjoyed every visit! Food is always good, our waiter was very nice and friendly. I tried the tongue taco for my first time and it was pretty good. Very tender, and I'd order it again! My absolute favorite is their complimentary tostada!

Fogon is a great place for some authentic Mexican food. They make fresh tortillas for their tacos and with amazing salsas. They have small space outdoors with open seating in case you have your furry friend with you. The drinks are also very nice, with margaritas served in the mixing glasses to pour your own drinks as you like. Overall, Fogón was a great restaurant with tasty food, amazing service, and good ambiance.

I was too early for Happy Hour today, so I ordered off the lunch menu. The grilled chicken in the pollo sandwich is delicious, and the crunch of the vegetables and toasted roll set it off perfectly. The tortilla soup is hearty and satisfying. I really enjoyed the Horchata mini-tini from their winter cocktail menu. The coffee flavor from the Mr Black liqueur is strong up-front, followed by the mellow sweet and spice of the Horchata. Very tasty!

My anticipation was met with disappointment when I eagerly arrived at Fogón Cocina Mexicana, only to discover that it had closed its doors well before the time posted online. The frustration of planning and looking forward to the experience, only to have it fall apart due to inaccurate information, is truly disheartening. The discrepancy between the stated closing time on their website and the harsh reality of locked doors not only wasted my time but also left me questioning the reliability of their online presence. A business should be accountable for the accuracy of the information it shares with customers. This misleading situation not only inconvenienced me but also reflects poorly on the establishment's professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction. I strongly advise potential patrons to approach this venue with caution, considering the evident lack of attention to detail and respect for their customers' time. A regrettable experience, to say the least and unfortunately they were rude and nonchalant when we entered.
