Flying Roll

Flying Roll has quickly become my favorite spot whenever I'm in the mood for sushi close to home. What sets this place apart is their consistently solid volcano roll--it's always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The menu offers a great variety of rolls and other Japanese dishes, all priced decently well, making it an excellent value for the quality you get.Though Flying Roll is a smaller restaurant, it's always buzzing with activity, especially during lunch hours. Despite the crowd, the service remains impeccable. The staff is friendly, attentive, and efficient, ensuring that even during peak times, you're well taken care of.The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner. Whether you're a sushi connoisseur or just looking for a reliable place to enjoy a good meal, Flying Roll won't disappoint. Pretty good spot in Duluth. Friend of mine turned me on to this place and I literally drove past 20 other sushi restaurants to get here. It was worth the drive. Small place inside but makes the service more personal. I ordered a rainbow roll and chicken teriyaki plate on my first visit in. Both dishes were well seasoned and delicious! The whole dining experience takes awhile here, the sushi chefs take their time with the food prep, so don't come in for a quick meal. So stop by for some authentic Korean sushi!

This is our favorite sushi spot In the Atl. Been coming here for years when kids were in middle school now in college. Wow

Overall 5/5: One of my favorite lunch spots for sushi when i'm running errands in the area. Food 5/5: I love the sushi here. their sushi is always so delicious and fun. sushi here is decent priced, very affordable in my opinion. I always get so full here. We got a 2 roll lunch combo with the shrimp tempura & spicy tuna. Simple, but still great flavor. We also got their signature marilyn monroll which was probably our favorite along with the crazy crunch roll. i love the crunch of the shrimp in the crazy crunch, it it like no other. We also got the shrimp fried rice, which had great flavor and was good portioned. The shrimp had a good sauce held to them tipped over a standard fried rice. Service 5/5: Service here is great, the server is fast and never writes anything down but our order has yet to be wrong. She also makes sure our waters are full, and plates are cleared as we go. Ambiance 5/5: This place is casual, but i love the booth set up. It is a small space, but they utilize the space very nicely by having raised dividers between booths along with curtains. This just makes the place cozy, and private between each booth. Definitely recommend this place for a casual lunch with friends or coworkers. Thank you, Flying Roll!!

This place is cozy and yummy! Presentation of food is always lovely.The Pink Lady roll was delicious and the tempura appetizer was the right size to split between two people. The Fuji Volcano roll was pretty good but also a bit overwhelming- there was too much of the sauce on top. Can't remember if mayo is listed in the ingredients, but there was something in the sauce that made it overwhelming - I ended up scraping some off of my last couple pieces.But in general I have enjoyed all the rolls I have gotten from this place - I'd return again and try other options too!

This was so good! We ordered take out so i can't speak to the ambiance of the restaurant but the food and take out service was excellent! We ordered a bunch of sushi rolls and each one was incredible! We ordered this on a whim bc we were both craving sushi and it did not disappoint! We will definitely be ordering again!

Fantastic food great customer service, cozy ambience.. I recommend dining in and ordering the miso soup however, the mushroom soup is also very good

How this place have 4.5 stars is beyond me. The food is painfully obvious that it's low quality. The best thing in their sushi was the seaweed wrap. Everything has cucumber and fake crab meat. Had to return the volcano roll as it was drowning in sauce and was just inedible and had fake crab meat even after I asked to not have it. Beef yakisoba weren't very good as well . Short way to sum it up: everything we ate here tasted like American mall food quality at $40 (one beef yakisoba, one black and white roll, and one regular salmon roll - so NOT worth it). Sigh* We were better off eating at the food court inside Hmart. The server was very sweet though, and the restaurant looked clean, so 2 stars, but I really can't give it more than that. I'm beyond disappointed.

All the rolls were delicious. They bring out a good uniqueness in sushi that I haven't had in a long time in Duluth. The servers were very caring. It feels like you are eating sushi at your friend's house. I will come back to try the lunch special!

We had some green beans before suchi as appetizers, it was okSushi rolls were good, specially the one that i put arrow near it and California rolls and mango roll these three were the best in my opinion The staff were kind and helpful The place is quite so you can enjoy a conversation while eating
