Fly Bye

Our son asked for pizza for dinner. Fly Bye was the closest to the convention site we attended. I'm so glad we stopped here! Kiddo only eats cheese pizza, so we got the hand-tossed for him. The dough is amazing, light and just the perfect sweet yeasty flavor.We opted for the Detroit-styke combo. Awesome! All the ingredients are fresh.Staff was incredibly friendly.

Saw a random TikTok where a girl was reviewing the chicken tenders and she said they were the best she'd ever had. I don't take that kind of talk too lightly so we had to check it out for ourselves. They even have a sauce called copy-cane and it's BETTER than Cane's! Their tenders are perfectly seasoned and that's a mark that Cane's sadly misses. They are amazing!!We're from Detroit but moved to Az almost 30 years ago and it has been a major struggle to find a good Detroit style pizza...well we don't have to look any furtherI'm already plotting our next visit lolAnd the staff? Also AMAZING! So friendly and courteous and I had to tell them before we left that coming from Detroit, we know Detroit style pizza, and they hit it out of the park! I should've taken photos when we got the food, but we were starving and we all dug in and this is what's left lol‍

Excellent food, hard-working employees, they work VERY hard, I've been in the industry & they're friendly & quick I will always come back, especially since it's getting HOT out in AZ & they're the best I can possibly find to avoid the heat & place pick up orders; I do sit down to eat with my kids too & it's always clean. It's Fox Restaurant Concepts so you know it's going to be good, but it's time I left a review for them :)Hint: if mushrooms aren't a turn-off, try the mushroom pizza You'll thank me

For such a limited menu, it's absolutely mind-blowing that they continuously mess up every single time. They messed up last time on a pickup order (just totally forgot to make it so we had to wait another 20 minutes) so they gave us a coupon for a free future pizza (no refund offer at the time). Picked up tonight and they missed 1/3 of the ingredients. How do you forget the bacon on a 3 topping "The Brooklyn" - and $28.50 for this pizza... What a joke. I'll take a frozen Motor City Pizza Deep Dish over this anytime. Never again. Check your orders every single time! 2 stars only because the pizza is good when it's done right.

Loved my first visit at Fly Bye! This fast casual spot dishes out detroit style pizza, wings and other shareable fare. The team is so friendly and my food came out fresh, hot and timely. Per recommendations from the Fly Bye team i went with a large detroit style pizza, 1/2 Black Truffle Mushroom and 1/2 Smoky BBQ Chicken. I LOVED that I was able to customize with specialty flavors. The truffle mushroom was so delish, topped with fresh arugula and all the truffle flavor, and the BBQ chicken was also delightful with perfect balance of heat and flavor. Both enjoyed with their house made ranch, which was absolutely out of this world and a perfect accoutrement to the pizza. I also got the shaved brussel salad, because balance - which included arugula, apple, date, parmesan and a delicious lemon vinaigrette. I ended my meal with one of their tasty chocolate chip toffee cookies, not my favorite, little on the flat side for my preferences, but still very good and great to share as they are quite large. I was really impressed and enjoyed my first visit and definitely foresee future visits for take out or dining in, because they do offer various tables on their patio and indoors if you prefer to go that route!

Got the curbside takeout special. Pizza, wings, salad and chicken tenders with fries. Had to give it only three stars because the pizza was ice cold even though I arrived at my chosen time (even a few minutes before) and I live less than 5 minutes away. Also not very cheesy. Disappointing for sure!!The wings were just okay, but not very meaty and a little dry. I think that's why they threw in an extra one. The Caesar salad was really good and very fresh. The best part was the crispy chicken tenders. So crispy with really juicy chicken. The only real highlight of the entire meal.

Good pizza, especially if you like this style. I've been twice now and pizza was good both times. I did get it to go the second time, as there isn't a whole lot of seating inside, especially if you have a larger group (which we did).

Pretty basic to-go spot with a few tables available for dining there. I feel like it reminded me of an 80s pizza shop. The large Detroit was just barely enough for a family of three along with a cheesy bread and side order of brussels sprouts bringing the total to about $50 for those three items, if you are all super hungry, that would not be enough. But the taste is absolutely fabulous. Brussels sprouts were crispy with some of them soft on the inside and full of flavor, the garlic bread could have been slightly more cheesy, but everything's flavor was perfection.

I live around the corner and just found this place. The pizza is delicious but honestly... the chicken is the dark horse winner here. You legit have not had chicken that tastes like it sleeps in a down comforter at night like these strips have. Honey hot sauce is addicting and should be bottled and sold. It's stupid that's how good these are. Only advice is that the small pizza does not taste as good as the large. Can't tell you why or how but who wants a small pizza anyway. Go. It's great.

Things I think of when I think of Detroit- 8 mile movie, the Henry Ford Museum, and the 2008 Lions who went 0-16. I've never thought of, or tried, Detroit style pizza, so I was excited to try.I picked up 3 large pies for family pizza night. We ordered the Copper Hat, Sausage, and cheese pizzas. Despite the pizzas great appearance, the base of each pizza was cooked a little differently. One pizza was way undercooked. The crispier the better in my opinion. My favorite pizza out of the 3 we had was the cheese. Simple, delicious, and greasy. The pizza was liked by many, but it didn't move my internal needle. Next time I go to Detroit I might skip the pizza and go for Moms spaghetti instead.
